real sim-skateboarding

Real skateboarding is hard. So is this game. If you're buying a Christmas present for your grandson, this probably isn't the game for you. If you're looking for a game you'll finish in 3 hours, this isn't the game for you. If you want the computer to be your autopilot, and do your tricks for you, this isn't the game for you. But for those gamers that want a true skateboarding experience, who know that skateboarding happens on some loading dock at night, not on ESPN, and who can't stand so-called "industrial" music, nothing even comes close to this game. This is as real as it gets.

I have been waiting so long for a game like this. There are all these games out there that pretend to be extreme sports games, but they are really racing games or collect the stuff games. This is the first skateboarding game that is about the tricks. Tony Hawk is a really good game, but it's about breaking boxes and getting tapes and stuff. This game is a lot cooler.

I have to say that playing Tony Hawk is fairly easy for the first time, Thrasher is more like actually learning how to skate. After first playing Tony Hawk, I was a little disappointed with Thrasher. But what they lack in graphics is made up for in gameplay. The controls were a little odd at first. But with more time, it became more enjoyable. I like both games for what they offer in gameplay.

i have tony hawk and it's a really good game but it's too easy and there are barely any tricks and the music is horible. But thrasher is great. It's chalenging, tons of tricks, the best soundtrack in any game, and the wipeouts are great (they really make you hurt!) Now some people say the graphics aren't great but so what? i could care less. And they aren't that bad so who cares? this game is all that and a bag of chips. the end

I would acctually give this game 10 stars. It challenges your mind and give you the feel of really sk8ing. I'am an obsesed sk8er and i want a game that can be fun and challenging at the same time. ............. You can do any trick you wish, and can choose many sponsers. most creative idea. They say it takes a while to learn, well, i have no clue as to what they are talking about. ..................... BUY THIS GAME!

this is a realistic game with cool names of the charecters and losts of tight tricks. You can ollie on to a building and grind down and cloths line, and also break into a bank, and, my fav. you can trasfer over a subway! Also get new levels in charecter mode. Cool combos like and 180 varialflip into a switch crooked grind and a switch kickflip into a backside grab. You can even wallride over a gap. If you love skating you'll love this game. Oh yeah, you can get sponsered by cool companys and become pro at the end! Its really hard though, but that makes it more fun.

man oh man is this game tight.this game is 100 times better than tony hawk.the nollie tricks are right, you could do manual tricks,frontside k-grinds,frontside smith grinds.and way more better tricks.tony hawk got thrasher on the graphics,but thrasher got tony hawk every were else.the music is a plus,but i get tired of listening to it over and over,so i pop in some hip-hop on my stereo(you could see my member page to see some good hip-hop groups that i reviewed if you like).you definetly need to go out and buy this, you wont be dissapointed, even if you dont skate, you should still buy it.now!

Definetly buy this game. It is worth all the money!But only buy it if you are a real skateboarder and want to see real tricks. Other wise get Tony Hawk to see really FAKE tricks. But these graphics and tricks are REAL! The Fun Factor on a scale of 1-10 is a 11. If you do not buy this game at this low of a price only on amazon.com you shouldn't even have this game.

dont listen to the people who gave it one star.This game is great and you can pull off tons of tricks and do amazing combos and after you beat an area you get to pick a sponsor that lets you choose from real boards,shoes and shirts.If you want a good skating game buy this and dont even think about buying Street Sk8er.

Thrasher is one of the best games i've ever played. I'm going to warn you though, if your weak and aren't willing to learn how to play an awsome game, THEN STOP READING! But, if you are willing to take the time to learn how to play then buy it! ,and if you are a SKATE AND DESTROY skater then you definitly have to buy it!

Visuals:10-I think the cartoon graphics have been long over do in a newer game.

Sound:10-The hip-hop soundtrack is amazing, and the skate sounds are fully authentic.

Ingenuity:10-This game is briliant.

Replay:10-This game never gets boring

Control:9.5-It's takes some time to get use to but once you learn them there great,and being able to bail and move your charecter while he's off the board in the air is awsome.

Overall:10-This is a must bye game. Especially if your a SKATE AND DESTROY skateboarder.

SKATEBOARDING'S NOT A CRIME SO LEGALIZE IT.
