This is a super game. The day I got it I couldn't stop playing for months. Everything's so smart, well the animals are more witty than the original game. It's like having a whole world in your hands, which it is. Therre's no defeating bosses in level 4, it's just raising a town. The great thing about this game is how real things happen. You can send mail, go shopping, and practically your best friend in the game moves away and the worst animal in the game won't leave. It's about the best thing in the world until about a year after you got it.
The game becomes boring. Yes, I know, boring. You've seen all of the seasons. It seems no one will move away so there's no excitment, sometimes, like me, you live in a small town and no one has the game so you can't go to anyone's town. You've been through the holidays and no one has good furniture for the flea market. I'm sad to say that I barely ever go on it any more. This game's time with me is getting smaller any day, so if you are debating between this game or another one, get the other if you don't want to get bored of it in a year or so.
Fun but lame language

This is a really fun game for kids and grownups. Like the ability to make "money" and creating clothes, planting trees..
the only thing is that there is some pretty lame language. "shut up" "Stupid" not something a parent wants there younger kids reading, but other than that it's a great game.
Boring, unless...

This is a very open-ended game, in that there isn't any quests to go on...or any real goals (other than collecting fish and bugs) or any real character development...or story. You simply wind up in this town filled with a bunch of talking animals that you can interact with. You can also expand your house and customize your outfit- but why? It doesn't effect anything in the game.
Also, it throws a hissy fit every time you have to cut the game short for some reason. When you start back up, you have to listen to this long in-game lecture about how you're supposed to save at your house first, so that you don't undue anything that might have happened in the course of playing. I can see the logic in that, since it involves online play, but still, it's annoying. I don't need scolded by my own game.
Then there's the online play. Online play is just about the only way to make this game interesting. It allows you to connect with other players and visit their towns, ect. But the problem is, you can't go online unless you already know someone's 'friend code.' And how exactly can you find out someone's friend code, if you can't go online an meet them? No one else I know owns this game (which says something in itself,) so I guess I'm out of luck.
This game is going in my 'resell' pile, that's all there is to it. Maybe other Animal Crossing games are better.
Yeah, it never ends. Then again, so does the plague.

This was fun for about the first 2 months. Then I realized that every day was exactly the same routine: gather fruit and catch fish to sell to pay off my idiotically high debt for my house, talk to villagers about nothing, poke around Tom Nook's store, look for fossils, wander aimlessly. Sure, it's fun for the first month or so. But eventually, as each day progresses, your interest will decrease...and decrease..and decrease...
Its only selling point is Wi-Fi. Unless you have a wireless router PLUGGED INTO your home computer (isn't that an oxymoron?) you'll have to find a McDonald's or some other weird place to sit down and play with others. Wow, if I just drive my car to some greasy fast food joint, I can catch bugs with friends across the country? Forget about communicating with friends while riding in a car, bus, train, plane, or while relaxing outdoors.
I can't wait to sell it! :)

I have looked in just about every video game store and they don't have it, which also proves it is a good game but it is sold out everywhere!

I bought this game for my eight and six year old. I got the game out and played it myself! The first thing I had was fight with some mole. He called me a punk along with other ugly words. I do not recomend this game at all. I value what my kids say and would never want my kids talking the way these animals talk in this game! They are rude with no respect. Do not waste your money on this game!

First things first, good luck even finding the game. Amazon seems to be in and out on the whole thing; one day they have copies, one day they don't. Needless to say, it took me several phone calls and a few car trips to finally get my grubby hands on Animal Crossing: Wild World, but, I got it, and my thoughts are as follows. First impressions are important in games, because, more often that not, a game that starts out a certain way, stays that way. Indeed, Animal Crossing starts out pretty slow, and more or less stays that way. You'll be fishing, digging up items, shaking trees for fruit or cash, and doing a vast aray of tasks and errands for your animal neighbors, all so you can make money to make your house bigger and better. And...that's pretty much it. The game is all about the house. The plot is the same as the first for the GameCube: You move into a town. You name the town. You then spend the rest of the game making friends and paying off your mortgage to Tom Nook, the racoon who lends you your money so that you can live in the town in the first place. Now, mind you, it is a game, so, your "friends" (who you write letters to etc) will give very limited responses. The dialogue is repetative, and so are the tasks. More or less, you'll be doing the same thing over and over again. Now, that's not to say the game is not fun. I play it for hours on end: It's addictive, that's for sure. But, you always have the sense that what you are doing is rather pointless, seeing as there really is no end to the game. Now, obviously, the biggest improvement over the first one is the addition of Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it's very dissapointing. Not only do you have to exchange friend codes (which can be a very tedious venture to be sure) but, by the time you actually get together with one of your fellow AC nerds, you'll find there is very little to do. Fishing will loose it's fun quickly, as will most of the other things you can do. On the upside, you can exchange items, or just chat it up using the touch screen key pad, which is fun in it's own little way, but, for the most part, it's nothing amazing. As I said, it all comes down to the house. It's fun to show it off to your new found internet buddies. The game goes through seasons, in real time. Winter in your real life is winter in the game. You can catch different fish in different seasons, as well as bugs and the fruit that grows will change as well. For the most part, it's a fun game. It's addictive, and a great get away from real life. You'll find yourself getting attached to the characters, and for some reason, very keen on getting your house to look cool. So, overall, it's a great waste of time. It will keep you busy, and entertained. But, mind you, it's nothing incredible, though it is one of the better games out there for the hand held line, PSP included. It could be better, but, for what it is, it's the best.
