EXCELLENT! Gamers need to get a clue!

I almost didn't get this game because of some of the reviews here. I'm glad I didn't listen because this is a LOT of fun!

If you are a gamer, you might not like this game for it's "game quality" However I never saw it as a typical game, I saw it as Evil Dead 4, and I was required to pick up a controller rather than a remote control to enjoy it.

As Evil Dead 4, It's great! Bruce Campbell is.. as always, terrific! As a first attempt by the creators of evil dead to move into game format, what it lacks in game quality, it makes up for in storyline and voiceovers. I'm sure the next installment will have revised gaming quality and hopefully keep Bruce's great talent.

Unlike most other games, which go on to become bad movies (like tomb raider.. although sexy Angelina Jolie might be able to save that flop) this game is coming from one of the most loved trilogies in movie history. It carries that quality and fun with it.. Evil Dead fans will not be dissapointed

let me start off by saying that i am very upset that this game got canceled on ps2- why???? ok i loved this game when it first came out, now i just got it again after playing all the other ps2 evil dead games and this is by far the best. the game takes the movies and puts its own twist on it, my favorite part is when you leave the house and you find a shovel and o there is your undead girfriend who just came out of her grave, then you kill her with the shovel just like in the movie!!! awsome. now i dont mind the controls or any of that i am so in love with how authentic this game is, in the secound cd you go back in time(just like the movies) and fight some medevil dedites. ok im not going to go to much further but bruce's voice is buck. if you like evil dead get this game the others for ps2 are ok but like i said this is pretty much exactly like the movies with its own twist.

This game brings to life the best movie series in the history of film. Evil Dead and its two subsequent films were monumentus occasions in the art of film making. Now with the films selling better that ever THQ finally brings every fan what they have waited for and deserve; Evil Dead: Hail to the king. Even the title brings chills. Set in the cabin Ash has returned again, for what reason? Well who cares that was never important in the movies why should it be here? With all of you favorite deadites present, along with a gran assortment of new ones. EDHTTK will keep you on the edge of your seat form beginning to end. If there is one! The frosting on the cake is that Ash himself is given life by nono othere that Bruce Campbell himself. If you were to ever want one game this should be it, and hey dont forget, "Shop smart, Shop S-mart"

I've been a fan of the ED series since the first movie and this game is a dream (nightmare?) come true. Okay, first off, yes, the Deadites come at you alot. But hey, they're Deadites; they don't know when to stop. But the rest of the game more than makes up for it. It has the creepy elements of the movies and, along with the great VO by Bruce, it really captures the feeling of them. The graphics are great and in my humble opinion, this game outshines RE (or any other survival horror clone) by a long shot. The gameplay is more original and the plot only serves to further the ED storyline. All in all, a great game and a must have for any true ED fan. Groovy

"Evil Dead: Hail To The King" is a well structured game from the opening credits Ash (Bruce Campbell) goes through the story so far with some very impressive graphics to make his nightmares come to life on the screen. The story starts with a superb cinemactic scene where Ash and his new girlfriend Jenny go to the old cabin where all hell breaks lose. This is where Ash's quest begins.

The gameplay and graphics do have room for improvement, but the game has a black comedy/horror atmosphere to it and and at times sways between the two. The over the top gore, classic one-liners from Ash, nice puzzles and cinematic/cut-scenes. I feel add interest and comedy to the game. The surroundings within the game are very much what you see in the "Evil Dead" movies. This also adds interest. Overall a well done, stylistic, gory and at times just simply funny game.(With a little pinch of creepiness) makes this an excellent game that in many rises above itself. Also on top that I thought the cinemactic/cut-scenes where suberb for a PSone game.

This game is a must have for evil dead fans now i heard complaints about controls but there pretty easy for me and the respwaning enemies though sometimes annoying keep the game fun (it is a action game) so though like all game it has its problems give it a try at least rent it

This Game Rocks! The graphics are great, but the backgrounds are spectacular! The controls are frustrating at first but you get used to them.Plus it stays to true to the movies its pratically Evil Dead 4.But Don't rent you can't beat it that fast.

First time I saw the evil dead,is in my bedroom ina pc magazine with this title.And it effected me so deeply that ? found myself watching the trilogy and reading a book wich a b movie actor tells about his life.Oh,back to the game,some guys sez' that deadities are more of a respawning,but isn't it what you called unlimited action.well,maybe the controls could be better(like devil may cry&onimusha(hallellujah))but et least when you get hang of it,it won't disturb you more.And the graphics,i can't blame you guys,if you want more,you're absolutely right.

but it is not suck!And if you will play through the end of the game,it will worth it.

This game is a lot of fun. I am not really a video game player, but i bought it because i love Evil Dead. The Bruce Campbell voice over is hilarious and the Sam Raimi type camera angles are excellent. I definately recommend this game to any Evil Dead or Bruce Campbell fans.
