GREAT GAME!!!

Most think that this game sucks, but I think you just got upset 'cuz it wasn't easy. THQ made a game for us that didn't allow you to bend it over your knee and spank the hell out of it. This game is better than Resident Evil 'cuz those games take me about a week to beat, this took me a couple months, and I still had to look online to see how. I play it occasionally, but I got A Fistful of Boomstick now, and I play that most of the time now. Every time I play Hail to the King, I get murdered, and that's what I like. A game that you can't beat easily. I may be a huge fan of the movies, but even if I wasn't this game would be great. Stop bad mouthing it and play it without whining. When you play this game it should take time to master it unlike the games like GTA 3, Vice City, Max Payne, and all the Resident Evil games. Please SHUT THE HELL UP!

this game contains 2 cds i hope this wasn't a spoiler,the main person is ASH. the Dead,Ghost,Ghouls,talking trees kidnap your girl.thats not groovy. your weapons are the Axe?your boom stick? pistol?oh yeah and the chainsaw,but the bad thing is the chainsaw keeps running out of gas,don't worry Gas GRows in the woods in this game? DON'T ASK! the controls are weak but you can get use to it. its like Resident Evil with a chainsaw,the music is annoying [...],but When Ash speaks his mind you better listen,the best thing about this game is the beginning when you don't hit start.

If you're a fan of the Evil Dead movies you'll likely love this game. The spooky setting, graphics and Ash's comments make for a totally enjoyable game. It can be very frustrating at first to fight the unending number of deadites,but once you figure out when to stand and when to run you'll find you're rhythmn. Definitely for mature audiences, but a great, scary addition to the horror genre! I did'nt want it to end.

If you loved the movies, I don't know if you'll like this

Im a big fan of the Evil Dead movies but i must say this game is not fun... It's cool to travel in the rooms of the cabin, but this game is sad because the monsters are never over, if you stop, kill a hundred deadites, they'll still attack you... Graphics are OK to be a PSone game... Hint: run, run and run!!

Buy this if you are a BIG fan of the movies or if you like horror games...

This has to be the king of horror games!
But definately all round 13+ game. Not just
because of the violence but because this is
the toughest horror game yet! I have beaten
Silent Hill, Res Evil 1,2,3 very easily! But
this I got it at christmas and clocked it the
other day! (Any help needed e-mail me) Thats
why some people hate it, because they are not
up for the challenge. It is really in the spirit
of evil dead with a little bit of suspense, horror,
humour and of course love! You will laugh when
you make Ash shout a one-liner and see a zombie
run away! Plenty to do, lots of weapons, great
graphics, Ash, Deadites roll it up....What do
we have?....An incredible game!

Well i must say, that in these times of games getting way to hard to figure out, like the final fantasy series, it is great to have a game like evil dead: hail to the king finally come out. Granted the game isn't easy, but it isn't so damn frustrationg that you throw the controller at the wall either. The game is fantastic and bruce campbell is the crown jewel. During the whole game i was saying to myself " why couldn't this have been a movie?" The story is that good. My wife and i waited a long time for a fourth installment of the ed franchise to come to the movies, but since that won't be happening, we are more than thrilled with the game. Oh yeah the controls are not that hard to figure out, if you can figure out the fatalities in mortal kombat, you can handle this game! Thanks bruce and heavy iron studios oh and thQ!

If you want to buy an Evil Dead game you sould buy Evil dead Fistful of Boomstick. This game is too hard, you die lots of times in a little time.

the graphics are sandy, but they look good. The characters are modeled well. Bruce moves odd. His face blurs a bit. Deadites respawn a bit too fast. And boss battles often end up with melee combat. But its good. I like it. One of my Favorite movies made into a Resident evilish game with chainsaws and shotguns.

The story devolpes well. And i have nearly mastered the game. Its a bit difficult but all and all its okay.

I love the films, I think the game set up is great, familular and fun. I think the graphics are okay by PS standards, but...

The Control is AWFUL!!!

The came is set up like a keyboard game for PC, up, back and... spin??? Yes, left and right spin the Ash!!! You have to spin him, then press up for forward, spin, press up, spin, press up.

Walking left...? SPIN, PRESS UP!!!

Walking right...? SPIN, PRESS UP!!!

Want to fight???

Too bad, your behind a tree, a wall, a rock and can't see your self to... are you ready??? Spin, then press up...

Did they play it before they released it? I can't believe they did.

Love the movies, hate the game.

Buy Fistful of Boomstick! Still too hard a game, but it plays correctly and that matters alot.

Now, if they would just make a real game they might learn there's a real market out there.

First off, I'm Chrisanot and I'm actually thirteen. Anyway, I thought this game was certainly interesting. I guess you could call me an Evil Dead fan (though I've only seen Army of Darkness)and after reading the strategy guide at Best Buy I decided I must have it. when I brought it home and popped it into my PS2 I found out that it was insanely difficult. I found my self killed at my first deadite incounter. The controls take some getting used to, and being able to say a one liner at the push of a button was a surprise to me. One very usefull tip I have is read the instruction manual very thuroughly first(I didn't find out I could run until I was almost at disc 2). Also(I shouldn't have to tell this to fans of survival horror), don't use weapons or ammo as soon as you get it, save it up for disk 2 and bosses. Overall buy/rent this if you are a fan of survival horror, you want a good challenge, or you are just collecting stuff related to evil dead.
