Driver 2 on PS2

I was hopeful in renting this game to try on my PS2 that the newer console would improve some of the graphics issues discussed in the other reviews. The bad news is that the graphics are just as bad on the PS2. The good news is that the control might be just a tad better. I did not notice any substantial control differences compared to the original Driver (which I also own and could do side by side comparisons to). My personal jury is still out on buying this one, but the experience was not as bad as the PS-based reviewers suggest. On PS2, the game still isn't pretty, but it doesn't make me want to throw the controller at the screen.

Driver 2 is a fun game but, it's pretty hard to beat. It's like life with the mob, with out the danger. The game is a little to expensive I saw it at wallmart for $9.95.

hey...i'd just like to say that the two-star review isn't very good. I'm already on driver 2's second cd and I have to say that it's great. The curved roads, new cars, and especially he GTA component in this game make it really fun.

This game is really cool, you can drive around and do what ever you want.The missions are funner than the first and more exciting.It is almost completely different than the first too.You can find cool cheats like fly a helicopter around Rio de Janiero, or invincability, or immunity.If you like games where you have a lot of freedom and racing games you will definitly like this one.

this game was awesome. you get to steal cars and all that junk. its ...awesome. this is taners biggest hit yet well in tell driver 3 comes out for ps2. info grames did agreat job making this game i mean i am 14 and i thought it was better than grand theft auto 1 2 and 3.

I do not own this game but my buddy brought it over and we played forever. it is an awesome game. the graphics are pretty much the same as the first(which i have). The 2player just makes you want to buy it more. it is terrible!! the view is from your car!! if you like that than fine but i dont! A real good storyline. THE VERY BEST PART OF THE WHOLE GAME IS BEING ABLE TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR!!! Its sooooooooooo fun. you can get in school buses fire trucks, etc etc. you can evn get out of your car while your jumping over a bridge. Really good game!!! A must buy

I think the game is awesome from the graphics to the realisticness and I think whoever has the chance to buy it should well ... GET IT!!

Driver2 is honestly the best game I've evr played for any system. It has a great selection of cars and you can find hidden cars in Rio and Chicago. The high speed cop chase is a great part of the game also! Also in Driver2 you are allowed to leave your vehicle and steal other vehicles. I highly recomend this game! I'd buy it while you can!!

I love this game it's so fun the way you get to steal cars and the two player games, free rides and the missions I haven't played the first one but what I'v herd this one is way better

Although better than the first driver, I think this game was a total let down. First of all, I thought you would be able to have a gun. This, like many other of my beliefs,was wrong. Although you were able to get out of your car and steel other cars, there was no point of doing this, because there were almost no other cars to steel. A third of the cars were the EXACT same car that you were. Another third was the same car as you, except a different color. The last third of the cars were a little bit different, for example most of them had really long and ugly fenders. I thought there would be better cars, as in porsches and ferraris. Finally there was two CDs. The second one, which may have been ok, was inaccessible unless you beat the first CD, which was IMPOSSIBLE. Not even supermen could complete the missions given to you, because the missions were really hard, and when you were about to beat them, the game would freeze. The only reason why I gave this game 1 star was because it was better than the last one, and the last one I gave 0 stars.
