Great game

This game is awesome. I love playing it an I never get tired of it. I've had it for a long time now. But it recently stopped working, and now does what Sim Theme Park does; Starts and then crashes to the desktop. But other than that it's terrific.

Great, but what about the advisor?

Great game, like Sim Theme Park! But the advisor was too annoying! She said, "your bathrooms are FILTHY AND THEY'RE MAKING PEOPLE SICK!-" and groans.

Sim Theme Park had a great advisor. Less picky about the rides about to break down, the Sim Theme Park advisor was good unless you never set your employee's patrol areas. He even made me laugh saying: "We're talking major pockets of cultural depravation!" Ha ha!

Sim Coaster advisor built 1 ride (not a roller coaster) and 2 (or 3) features. No sideshows, shops, staff rooms, trash cans, or bathrooms.

Another thing that annoys me are gardeners. If you set the gardener's patrol area in the plant, they never come. If you call a gardener to the plant, they never come.

But the game is pretty good! Not a waste of money.

It's Okay

Simcoaster is pretty much the same as Sim Theme Park, but I don't think it's as good. It seems like you have to worry about stinkbombs, fire lightings, and many behavior problems. This game focuses too much on all the business elements of running a theme park. It doesn't really have to do as much with creating a beatiful theme park that you want to design. It's not like Roller Coaster Tycoon where you mainly focus on building rides and creating a park. It gets overwhelming. You open up new areas of the park and while you try and build new things you have to worry about the old areas of your park, behavior, and staff wages/happiness. At least you get the camcorder view, that's pretty cool, and you have adults and old people who don't enjoy the exciting rides as much, but plants and less exciting things. I'd still play this game, but it's just too overwhelming with all the focus on the less exciting parts of the game. I do like that you have to move up a business ladder and have tasks to accomplish to earn promotions and open up new parks, but alot of them are business-like things.

bought this, and come not in the originality pack of it, so it depends on who you buy from i guess, because the one i got the case is not the original case and broke, eventhough it said new, anyway, the password just come in the piece of paper rather than original casing in the back of it, very dissapointed the way they handle it, not pro, and after you got it, takes along time before it open, i guess because i have older version computer, than they said read manual, which i couldn't find it anywhere, so that's almost the story of it, besides it totally not like roller coaster it just like cartoon, not real.

Thrilling

I am a great fan of Sims, Zoo Tycoon, and games of that nature. I recently bought this, and just started playing. It is totally awesome! You can build/design rides in three different areas, and a challenge or something will always come up so you're never bored. I would reccommend it to all kids and pre-teens who like games like this! (it is also addictive! :-D heehee)

Works fine for me

I have Windows XP and this game works fine. However, the graphics engine is still sort of slow and slightly jerky, even if you have a good graphics card and a 2-ghz processor. If you like making theme parks, then I would get it. This is not, however, what I would consider to be a good roller coaster building game. In that sense, the name is very misleading. The coasters aren't that realistic and riding them only makes you feel bad about your hardware, no matter how good it really is. If you're looking for something to build coasters and have an enjoyable ride, I would suggest Ultimate Ride or Hyper Rails. Hyper Rails is pretty complicated, though, compared to Ultimate Ride, but Hyper Rails is more involved with the theme park aspect while giving more coaster options. Ultimate Ride has a few theme park type options, like "props," but you can't shape the environment as much.
