roller coaster tycoon is really cool.you can choose places to start from the beginning an turn into parks, or choose a park that is already good and build more thrilling, bone chilling rides.there are also lots of paths you can use. you can even make paths underground! if i were you, i would get one for myself really soon.

I will begin by saying that I love most (if not all) sim games, but they do get boring after a while. Most, anyway, but not this one. I have had this game since it first came out (was it early spring of '99? I don't remember) and still enjoy it. I have both expansions, which are also good, but the original game has the most rides, shops, themes, etc. The add-ons just have more features. I have played other theme park sims, and they are more complicated and boring. This one, however, is easy to use and has many more options. You must build your theme park with shops, bathrooms, and rides, and you must have a variety of rides to become succesful (carousels and car rides for the young or not-so brave guests, scramblers and pirate ships for intermediate guests, roller coasters and space shots for thrill-seekers.) It's not like SIM Theme Park where guests will be just as attracted to ferris wheels as roller coasters. Also, roller coasters will be rated depending on their layout--too many sharp curves and inversions may make them too nauseating for the general public! This is definitely the best sim game... no... the best game PERIOD that there is. *Get the add-ons! They're worth it!*

This is an Awesome game! it's really hard to stop playing. The game gets so addicting you'll find yourself playing it for hours on end. It's also a challenge, it's hard to make everyone satisfied in your park. I would definitley reccommend it. Here's a tip, if you have someone who's so mad their face turns red, pick them up and drop them in the water, they'll drown and you won't have to worry!! I love doing that!! see ya, i have to go work on Rainbow valley!

This game is awsome! I can't believe I had this game for almost a year and never used it. I was missing the best computer game EVER, this is SO much fun and the disc card really is true it IS ADDICTIVE. I can play this for hours at a time and never get bored. It's even better if you have te add-on's :)

This is what computer gaming is all about...I have never had so much fun playing a computer game in my 29 years on this planet as I have with Rollercoaster Tycoon...It's incredibly in-depth, yet ridiculously simple to learn and use..I was building coasters and theme-parks within the first 10 minutes, and now, 4 weeks, and MANY hours of gaming later, I am still learning little nuances and techniques to build a better coaster! I recommend this game for anyone...one play, and you'll be hooked!

This is the best roller coaster game but for more fun you should try roller coaster tycoon loopy landscapes.

This game is one of the better sim games made in recent times. Save your money and get this game instead of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, because both are the same thing, the sequel having only few modifications over the first.

The construction of rollercoasters is slightly cumbersome, which makes it a bit difficult to make just the right coaster, but with a little practice its good.

While house sitting I stumbled upon this game. Out of my childly interest I popped it in the harddrive to give it a whirl. Wow! Oh! Wow! Was this game fun! I started it and couldn't stop! I played and played! Build you own theme park, and play around a little. I have never gotten board yet, and I only hope that the people I am house sitting for will let me use it just a tiny bit longer, because it is the funnest game I have ever played! I guess now that I am hooked, I will have to buy my own! I recommend it to everyone! Play and enjoy...

Rollercoaster Tycoon Kicks!

The minds over at Microprose (I think that's them) have overcome the powers that be at Maxis by developing and producing this game (with a little help from Hasbro) "Rollercoaster Tycoon." Maxis' SIM lineup, year after year, has been overshadowing Microprose games such as "Transport Tycoon" and "Railroad Tycoon" with programs such as "SIM Town" or "SIM Park." But, after Maxis produced "SIM Theme Park," many children received what they had finally sought: you get to make your own theme park! It served its purpose until Microprose, with a REAL rollercoaster designer, made "Rollercoaster Tycoon." Kids looked at SIM Theme Park and Rollercoaster Tycoon and came up with a conclusion: "SIM Theme Park sucks." Rollercoaster Tycoon lets you control Marketing Campaign to jacking up how much it costs it goes to the bathroom, and even what color the Ice Cream booth should be, and all in between. With loads of scenarios and rides, this should be on everyone's list of top computer games. Sorry Maxis, Microprose created a monster and brainwashed it to do it's bidding. And added bonus to this game is that you can expand it instead of buying a completely different game. If you don't have this game, you're out of luck. If you have a crappy Macintosh, you can't play this. You're stuck with "SIM Coaster."

Roller Coaster Tycoon is an awesome game. You may have seen or played sim theme park but this is 10 times as good. With rides there is a varity of things to do like color the ride and cars, pick the kind of cars and the price. You can build custom roller coasters and see what the guests are thinking. Name your rides anything from Lame-O to Terminator. Mant different parks some started other from scratch. This game has it all. If you like theme parks this is for you.
