It usually takes me weeks to finish a game, but I devoured this one in a day. Soon after finishing it,I started it again and enjoyed it just as much as before. I have now completed the game six times and aiming for seven. It is easy to play without being simplistic and entertaining while not too complicated. As I have said, the plot is somewhat thin,so don't be to dissapointed by this aspect. Overall, this is a fun game that can played quickly but can be enjoyed many times.

OVERALL SCORE:86/100

One of the first games I ever beat was Kirby's Dreamland on my original old gray Gameboy. In fact, it might have been second after Super Mario Land. I loved it, and play it to this day mostly to see how quickly I can beat it.

The "new" Gameboy Advance game, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is a remake of the NES Kirby game from 1993. It's pretty much a straight forward port of the original game, with some extra mini-games thrown in. Now, I never had an NES and although I've played Kirby on some emulators, I never beat it. So imagine my disappointment when I bought Nightmare in Dreamland Thursday afternoon, and by the next night had beaten it completely. It took about an hour and a half.

All the regular Kirby functions are there, his famous suck the enemies in and spit them out or absorb their abilities, etc, but there's nothing new and the game is far too easy and straight forward. I only died a few times before the final boss, and each time was out of pure laziness. The enemies present no real challenge, and the bosses are easy to figure out.

The graphics and sound of the game are nice and fun and what one expects from Kirby, and on the outside it seems like it would be a longer game. But it's not-the levels are very short, and I didn't find the mini-games interesting enough to play them very much. There are some levels where you can practically float through the entire thing without ever fighting an enemy.

The game itself is enjoyable, and very much fun to play, but once you've beat it there's really no point in playing it again. There is nothing new to find, really unless you feel like unlocking all the mini-games, and your big reward for beating the whole thing is yet another unlocked mini-game. It's still a Kirby game, and has all the charm of a Kirby game, but if you've played either of the Gameboy games or the original NES there is not a real reason to pick up Nightmare in Dreamland.

This really couldn't be more fun

Ok, Kirby is just about the best thing I've ever seen. He's cute and pink and he inhales his enemies. The best part is that when he inhales them he can swallow and become them.

This is just an amazingly cute and fun game. I love the Mario series for it's cute, dreamlike worlds. This has that, plus an arguably more fun hero.

I could continue raving here.

Easy but fun.

I got this game yesternday and i have already finished it. Since Kirby's tilt and tumble have been waiting for a good kirby game. This is really one of the best GBA out there. Let's start with the bad:

CONS:
This game is EASY!! 4 - 8 hours of gameplay should finish it for most gamers.
Not a new game just a remake of a older NES Kirby game.
It's short.

PROS:
The final boss is challenging.
The Graphincs are great. Unlike other games *cough cough* Pokemon *cough cough*, Nightmare lives up to the powers of the GBA.
Looks great on the GBA SP.
Fun to replay.
After "beating" the game the first time it open up a harder mode.
It's Kirby!!!
From start to finish the game play is rewarding and fun.

AWESOME!!

I am a middle school guy, and my little sister of 8 bought this game two months ago. She wanted to buy Mario Kart: Super Circuit, but I stopped her and suggested Kirby. I had a good feeling about this game. So she bought it, and whenever she would have trouble, I would beat a boss or something for her. I eventually became addicted to it and found myself swiping her GameBoy SP and playing until about midnight. It's such a fun game, and despite his sissy pink girly look, Kirby is a tough little fighting puffball. I'm at the very last boss, but I still can't beat it! It's really fun, and great for all ages! All the abilities are so fun and exciting, and I'm still discovering new ones!

Our favorite pink guy is back!

If you like adventure then here is a game for you. Kirby nightmare in dreamland is about a girl embarking on an adventure to defeat kingdedede and bring peaceful dreams among dreamland. If you would like to play this game you could find it at Wal-Mart in the videogame section.
The most important part of this game is the character variety. There are a wide variety of characters to choose from. A few of these characters are spark, fire, UFO, wheel, hammer, etc. These characters can easily defeat kingdedede's henchman.
Also this game has many levels of difficulty. When you are playing Kirby you will succeed in levels, and as you succeed your difficulty will increase. So what I mean is the higher the level the higher the risk of getting killed.
Although this game has good difficulty and characters it doesn't have many system requirements. All you need is 2aa batteries and a game boy advance. So I believe the system requirements are great.
While this game has great character, difficulty, and system requirements, it also has wonderful configuration. All you need to know for this game is how to move, jump, and suck in to swallow evil guys. So basically there are only 3 buttons.
I would recommend this game to anyone who knows how to work a game boy. I think any age group would like to play Kirby because it is fun and easy enough for anyone to play. So if you're ready for an adventure then go and buy this game TODAY.

Lots of Fun!

Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is a cute, colorful game with exciting levels and fun activities. Many of your enemies (including some bosses) can be sucked up and copied, making for interesting abilities and adorable costumes! Once you've become used to using Kirby and know his basic attacks and such, most of the bosses are pretty easy to beat, even the final boss. Lives are easy to earn, considering that you can earn them through mini-games, and by pressing "A" at the end of each level when Kirby is getting ready to shoot off of the trampoline. Extra points can also be earned by doing this. The mini games consist of a race, a "hot potato" type game, and a "who can press the button fastest?" game. Little fun parts in levels include swimming, braving strong winds, and doing special things to get MORE extra lives, such as copying a fire enemy and lighting a fuse that blows you from a cannon to a special place. Maximum Tomatoes can also be easily earned by beating a boss in the stadium.

Overall, a fun game that, unlike many other games, never makes you too frusterated. Definately a favorite Game Boy game of mine, now. I only hope they keep making Kirby games for a long time. Also, there is a level in this game that looks similar to the levels in the old, colorless Kirby games...which is kind of cool if you've played one. And, there's also a new Kirby game out now called The Magic Mirror, that is pretty cool. Go, Kirby!

Fun!

A blast to play! So much fun I thought about buying it again when I got to the last boss and then lost my darn cartridge in the sofa. Those things are tiny!
Easy to play, challenging bosses, generally fun game.
I recommend it.

I am a 13 year old and I love the kirby series. This is a remake of the NES game Kirby Adventure. This is a must have for any Kirby fan and for any one who is looking for a big adventure on the gameboy advance.
