Good for any Kirby fan!

I've been a Kirby fan scince the Anime came out. I loved it, and after I saw it I wanted to get all the games. That's when I noticed that Kirby's Adventure was for NES, and my brothers sold the one I had years ago. When I heard this game was a remake of that one, I was VERY exited! I got it for Christmas eve, and beat Nightmare on Christmas morning. After playing for a while, I got 100%, and unlocked Extra. Normal was easy, but EXTRA... You only have 3 HP! It took me over two hours to beat Nightmare! I'm not telling you what I got after beating that, but let me tell you this: IT WAS WORTH IT! I say EVERY Kirby fan should own a copy of this game!

I had played one on Game Boy way back and the one on N64 but I couldn't remember if I enjoyed them or not. BUt I got this game anyway based on the back of the box. And boy I am not dissapointed because this game is great.

Concept: You play as Kirby, a pink blob with arms which can suck up the powers of enemies. It is extremely fun even if it doesn't sound all that engaging.

Story: King DeDeDe was taking a bath in the Fountain of Dreams and apparently he took the Star Rod(the source of power for the Fountain of Dreams). He then broke it into pieces and gave a piece to each of his underlings. Now Kirby has to get all the pieces and restore peaceful naptimes to the residents of Dream Land.

Graphics: Simple, charming, and appealing. Bright colors perk up the background and character models.

Sounds: Catchy sounds and fun music.

Gameplay: Very simple. Down-Duck, A-Jump, & Left or Right- Walk. Double tap Left or Right-Run. Tapping A more than once and Kirby floats. B-suck enemies and after you suck one tap Down then you obtain their power. That about all there is too it.

Overall: Very simple yet entertaining enough to keep playing. Trying to get 100%, fun mini-games, half-life mode, and the ability to play as meta-knight give this game great replay value.

This is sooooo fun!!!!!

The game may have a new name, but its a remake of the NES classic. The game has updated graphics and a few more mini games. However, the game is NOT from the roots of SUPERSTAR for the SNES. SUPERSTAR is from the roots of KIRBY'S ADVENTURE on the NES. NIGHTMARE IN DREAM LAND is the same game as KIRBY'S ADVENTURE with updated graphics and new minigames. The minigames include the classic the two classic minigames from KIRBY'S ADVENTURE, Quick Draw and Boss Endurance. In Quick Draw, you face off with increasingly faster quick-drawing Clint Eastwood wanna-be's. In Boss Endurance, you try to beat all the bosses without dying. Four-player action for some of the games adds to the fun. But when little (childs name here) comes running up and says "I want KIRBY: NIGHTMARE IN DREAM LAND for my GameBoy Advance! It's this great new game... You tell (her) him that it was a classic in 1995.

Kirby all the way!

I am a big fan of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards and I'm still having a hard time accepting the changes in Kirby. (IE: K64 Fire Kirby: Reg. Kirby that turns into a fireball) but I still think this is a good game. The only thing that pains me is that Meta Knight is the 7th boss, and he's my favorite character! (Oops! For those who AREN'T there, I foreshadowed. Not that I'm there...I have Nintendo Power Mag.) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But all & all, it's another good game in the Kirby collection.

Okay, this is the same kid who said that he was getting Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland for Christmas from his grandma... This is a really good game. It was fun since level one(hey, that rhymes). Anyhow, Kirby ruled the NES and he rules the GBA. Minigames, challenging bosses, action-packed stages, over 24 powers to absorb from other enemies to complete each level completely and get 100% to unlock an extra mode and a new minigame!!!... Here's my main review:
Graphics: 10
Sound: 10
Gameplay: 10
Replay Value: 10
Wow! Another perfect 10! Just like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for GBA-oops. I mean, you have to search VERY hard for my other reviews.

Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Rated by a HG (Heavy Gamer)

I think this game is very fun, and much better than the classic version. There are more transformations for Kirby to use. The gameplay is great, considering the more sophisticated games I play. Though if you play this game a lot, it feels really short (I finished in in about 3 days :P). The bosses at the end of each world start out easy, but they get really really REALLY hard. This game has mini-games too. They are fun, and there are 3 plus one called ???? ?????????. Well, I won't give you the name of it, BUY THE GAME TO FIND OUT!!!

For a gamer like me, TOO SHORT

Since the SNES days, I have been a tremendous fan of Kirby. The little pink fluff ball can easily addict you to play, so I picked this game up from a local store. On the box it seemed pretty cool, but what glitters isn't gold. My family was going on a trip, so I brought the game along. It appeared after one and a half hours I was bored with nothing to do. I was very disappointed with this game.

Graphics: (3/5) The graphics are SNES quality, not so great. The backrounds aren't detailed at all and could use more work. Also, the enemies are poorly animated and are the exact size as our main hero Kirby, but don't put up a fight. Not great.

Storyline (3/5) I guess this is a strong point of the game, but still very weak. These nightmares have been attacking the dream fountain, and King Dedede stole the star wand. Its up to Kirby to save Dream Land before the nightmares take over. Not much detail or drama, at all. Meh.

Gameplay (2/5) Ok, sure new morphs were added in (they are sooooo cool!), but the gameplay is really bad. The levels can take as much as a minute and a half to complete for a novice gamer, and there are only five levels and a boss per world. Since there are seven worlds that have five levels in them, that is only about an hour and fifteen minutes worth of gameplay. Then on level eight, the final boss, there are tons of forms so it takes around 10-15 minutes to kill. I could point out about a thousand new morph and level ideas to make this game longer.

Controls: (3/5) The controls are really simple (THANKFULLY), but I dont think there is a use for the L and R buttons - I forget, I haven't played the game in ages- which is minus two points. And there are no combo's or anything combining two buttons. That makes the game bland and standard.

Replay Value (2/5) The replay value stinks as well. There is only one secret if you beat the game with 100%, and I do not find it worth playing. I'm not sure about you, but I wouldn't want to play those easy levels again. Not good.

Overall:(2.7/5) We'll just call that three stars. The game isn't a horrible one for ages 4-7, but aside from that, it's a piece of cake. This game does have really bad points, but it has some good ones too. I love the mini-games and arena fights. That just brings back the memories of playing the classic Kirby. I wouldn't recommend buying this game at all, but instead you should go rent it. Overall the game will satisfy you anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days.

Kirby is back for some Memories

Kirby is by far thee most popular character in my book.
Kirby has come back on a new system, the Gameboy Advance.

The graphics are beautiful with it's cell shaded animation and vivid backgrounds that make the game a cute experience. If you liked Yoshi's Island, then this game is for you.

The gameplay goes back to it's roots from the Super Nintendo adventure of Kirby Superstar for the Super Nintendo. Nintendo knows how to port games, and this port is full of new suprises.

Goodjob! and Enjoy!
