Looked good, but it failed miserably

Ugh. That's all I have to say. I have been awaiting this game with as much anticipation as the amazing totally recommended halo, but when i finally started to play it, ugh. The graphics looked great on the back of the case, and in many magazines, but in the game, they are just plain boring! Ships look like snapshots moving along the water, and there isn't anything cool that happens when you crash! They went out of their way to make this game's intercace hard to play, and i couldn't even figure out how to start a mission! The planes are just tubes with wings, and this title is not even worth a buck to me!

Don't expect a flight simulator - and don't waste your $

This game does have very nice graphics, but the flight "model" is pathetic. As another reviewer stated, you can't do barrel or aileron rolls, making it nearly impossible to get an advantage in dogfights. All you have are elevator and rudder control. Also, there is no real AI - it does appear the enemy does hte same thing every mission (once you get into a dogfight, the enemy will try to get into the best shooting position).
Knowing this, there is no way I would waste my money on this game - I got it as a gift. I can't believe some people here and on Ebay are paying big bucks for this game. Better to wait and hope someone comes out with something better.

If my advice redirects just one person's ($$$) to a more deserving software company, it will have been worth my time. Don't walk; RUN away from this title. It's pathetic and (I'm serious) ATARI-like. Shame on you, Konami. I spit on Air Force Delta Storm. My view may be a bit shaded after playing Ace Combat 4 (A truly excellent game), but trust me, you can do a whole lot better. If you really need a flight sim and don't have a PS2, wait for Namco or MS to bring decency to the XBOX in this genre.

Wow what a bad game. First of all the plot never begins to develop. You work for some Alliance of people who can eat and you fight against the people who cant. Second, the voice acting is simply dismal. Third, you never get shot down! It takes six missles to blow you up but only two to blow up the enemy. And despite what other reviewers have said this game has awful graphics. When you crash you dont explode you just disapear. The missions are practically the same thing everytime. Besides all that the very idea of the game makes no sense. You and your plane are at times up against five enemy planes and eight enemy boats. My god this game is a waste of money!

This game was an utter disappointment. The music is absolutely terrible (possibly the worst of any video game). And the graphics are retro looking. Come on, with the power that the Xbox has I thought the graphics would be better. The game is extremely difficult and is dull and lacks excitement. The missions are all basically the same as eachother, which is to eliminate the enemy planes. Don't run out and buy. Rent it if you feel like it's something you'd like, but don't buy it unless you've rented and liked it. I returned after the first day of having it. My suggestion would be to buy a game worth the money, like Halo or Max Payne or anything but this.

this game is the worst game game in the whole world.after playing for 15 minutes i got bored.don't let the pictures fool you.it's only one player so thats boring.and all the missions look the same

I had always wanted to try Air Force Delta Storm for Xbox. So I bought it and it was bad.

My friend watch me play it for two seconds and said it was the most graphically challenged game they had ever seen for Xbox. It actually did not look a whole lot better that the originally NES! Well maybe I am over doing it a bit.

Not only last, but airplanes are supposed to roll left/right when you want to turn. On this game you steer left/right like you were driving a car!

The only positive thing I have to say about this game is the sound was pretty tight. Using the surround sound and hearing the jets go by was pretty cool.

This game is a disgrace and a joke! I could not believe how lame it is! Ok... the graphics are not bad but how long can that keep your attention??? I have played better flight sims/games on a Coleco-Vision! Within 24 hours after I received it, I already had it up for auction on eBay (...). Do yourself a favor, get a different game.
