Creators need to lay off funny tasing water...

Creators need to lay off that funny tasing water (not tasting).Evidently in my view they decided to try to made this look good for some green.i Bet im not making any sense......

)(to the point)(

This game is way to short,I finished it in just 2 days times (during the weekend). The campaign can also be very boring and it get very tiring intercepting mostly light mechs and it gets hard to get heavy mechs except the ones that become available about every 3 missions.
Too many new mechs and not many of the old ones...Dont know how they could leave out the Nova Cat...Needs a little work yet.Unlike other games such as Force commander and Ages of Empire and MechCommander now when theres a lag spike and u click somwhere when that lag spike is over it doesnt count your click...The light mechs need more room for more weapons i know they are light mechs but they need more than only like 3 lasers and 1 lrm.
)(to the good things)(
Over all the game completely blows in single player. However, the multiplayer allows very active play and all mechs more availabilitys more maps.Mostly all the good there is.Very good 3D graphics and the Artillary is ok too...

)(few more bad things)(
I would be so much happier if this game had a instant action. This is one of those games that are made for instant action but this has none.Kinda untalented...Almost all the games from the Mech Warrior series have had a instant action.Really strange that this one doesnt...
)(the end im off to play MechCommander and MechWarrior4 and MW3...
Far away from the good rating of a must buy.
Dont buy!

This game is an excellent game, it's just that it's graphics are so good, they slow down your computer.

Ok...I don't know what you are all talking about but i have a CELERON 600 with 128 ram and a 64 meg video card and i have not had any slow down. It ran perfectly well on my computer and i don't see why it dosen't on other people's.
All in all it is a good game and sice you can make your own missions the short campaign is not really an issue.

I don't have it and i love it!

I had heard some stuff about this game but I only knew it existed. Soon after the holadays my firend showed it to me. I loved it. I had always loved the Mw games and this was perfect. You get to lead up to 16 mechs into battel and anilate everything. I love to fix up slain mech for my own purpases and then capture a repar bay. Great game and a must buy. (Also really cheep!)

A better Force Commander!!

First off, if you liked Force Commander, MechCommander, or any MechWarrior, just go out and buy this game. If not, read this review. This game is very fun and easy to play. The teaching levels teach you the basics and the manual fills in the rest. The campaign is very engrossing and the missions are fun and a good difficult. You even get upset if you lose a good pilot. You can't compare this game to Age of Empires since in the genre it is like comparing apples and oranges. So if you like what you hear, buy this game.

This is a great game with great graphics etc.

The only bad thing about this game is that it runs !!**EXTREMELY**!! SLOW !!**EXTREMELY**!! on all but the fastest of computers (you need about a 1.7 GHz 1GB of ram computer, and a 64 MB graphics card to run this without it being slow) Also 50-75% of the time when you click a button it does not register the clicks (i'm talking the menu buttons, not the in-mission buttons)

Mech Commander 2 Review From Vet MC Commander

I have been playing Mechwarrior and Mech Commander games for 5 years now. This game literly tore apart all the other Mech games. If you have a 700mhz computer then this is a great game. Any lower and the game lags and jumps. Plus, if you keep the graphic settings all on then the game does some serious lagging. That is the only bad part I can find. Overall it is the best game I have played (and thats a lot of games).

I have read many reviews were everyone hates low Drop Weight. I have no Problem with low Drop Weight. 450tons = 6 Timber Wolves (Madcats), now who has a problem with 6 Timber Wolves? The average DW limit is 320tons. Any expirienced person knows that 320 is more than enough. I use a mix of usually 1-2 Light Mechs, 1 Medium Mech, 3 Heavy Mechs. It is an able combination and makes drop weight problems low. Also the Slavage Craft helps with inmission reinforcements, there by making a low drop weight a low problem.

Slavage is pleniful thanks to the Slavage Craft. See Enemy Mech, Want Enemy Mech, Take Enemy Mech, Use Enemy-Now-Yours Mech to blow up enemy base. That is how you use the Salvage Craft.

The Solo Campain does go by sorta fast though. I was at the last Mission before I knew it.

It can be jumpy because of the Graphics, then again a small problem easily overlooked by the games play, control, feel, new options and fun. For any New or Veteran Commander, I highly reccomend this game.

Pretty good effort

The graphics are good, the resources system is adequate, the interface is intuitive, the mech lab functions are great. The campaign that comes with the game is too short, but the game comes with a mission editor that allows players to create their own missions and even campaigns. You can download tons of additional fan-created campaigns from fan sites on the web. These additional campaigns essentially make this game many, many times more valuable.

If you like the battletech universe, buy this game.
