The expansion pack I was waiting for

I was hoping for a "Pets" expansion pack for Sims 2 and it is certainly everything I had hoped for. The pets included are a guinea pig-like rodent, parrots, tropical fish, cats, and dogs. You can pick colors of all and the cats and dogs are very customizable. If you want to make a chihuahua, you can. If you want to make a bulldog, you can. If you want to make a turkish angora kitty, you can! You can even layer the fur so that not only do you get the texture right, but the colors are layered too for more realistic patterns.
The pet behaviours are simply right on the mark. One of the first pets I created was a mirror of my real life cat. I was stunned to see the Sims 2 cat doing many of the things my real life cat does at home. The way it twitched it's tail, the way it meowed. It was all very cute and even a little unsettling at times.
Interactions are wonderfully added as well. Your sims can play with the pets and many of the actions are hilarious. Watching my sims play "teaser" with the cat was captivating.
The pets will of course get into trouble as well, tearing up furniture and making messes on the carpet. But what fun would the sims be without some challenges, right?

This game is awesome. Your pets can have jobs...breed...and you can customize everything about them! So much fun!

Sims 2 Pets is a very nice game. It is my favorite Sims 2 Expansion Pack. You get to make pets (cats and dogs). The bad part is that they don't have a large selection of dog breeds (I was disappointed they didn't have a Yorkie)or cat breeds. They do have a lot of popular breeds though. Also, you unlock a new pet tab were you can buy dog houses, pet bowls, litter boxes, etc. You can buy hamsters and birds, too. Overall, this is a really, really FUN game and it is a nice addition to your expansion pack library.

To Sims and Sims2 lovers everywhere!!

Having multiple expansion packs for Sims2, I think this one blows every other one away. I also love pets, so that contributes to it, too. I can't wait to see what other things for Sims2 comes out!

I got this for christmas. Here's a hint for all of u with a slow sims 2 or sims 2 pets game. Buy more ram. we did and it helped a lot. It won't take 30 minutes to get to a neighborhood or a lot or downtown anymore. more like 1..if that long even. anyways this game is great. and the pets are adorable. when an old cat moved in to a lot she died in a few hours sim time. and it was sad cuz her son was sitting by her grave all the time. it made me wanna cry. anyways this is a great expansion. buy. but i strongly suggest buy more ram. this game takes up a lot of memory.

This game is the most super duper funnest game of all sims exspansion packs! But it really slows your computer... I was loading a family when it just hung there without going to the family still loading for like 30-45 min! I went to go watch 2 half an hour shows and I came back to check on it, and it was still loading!
I guess its so jam-packed with loads of fun, it took so long to load all that fun! I will admit, very fun but it just was too slow, you never even play the dang thing! I finally decided I would return it for the sims 2 nightlife! Nightlife isnt slow and its fun!
If you love the sims 2 pets like I did, and its not acting slow on your computer, then good for you because its fun, but I never got to play mine!
You can buy gear for your pets, adopt a pet, give a pet to adoption, go to the pet store, make a pet with your new family, move pets and people to occupied lots or houses, take your pet to the pet park, and even play with stray dogs.
It was fun for the first day that it lasted for me..

I bought it 2 days ago and reutrned it today for a full refund.I thought you could actually control the pet and make it do fun stuff.Actually you can't even command it to move.WHAT KIND OF PET IS THAT???!!!Only a small variety of breeds.The only lest bit fun of it is that you can custom design your pet.

Sims 2 pets is really fun. the dogs and cats are really realistic just like my dog or your dog would act. You can train your pets to do cool tricks like "roll over" or teach cats to use the toilet! Also your pets can have puppies from generation to generation. You can give your pet blue fur or two different colored eyes. The pets can have jobs in secruity or they can become a MOVIE STAR. if you pet becomes successful then there's a good chance their puppies will too!!! The sims 2 pets expanison pack is lots of fun for everyone especilay animal lovers like me!

it is a great outlet for me. I had a pet for 15 yrs, and I lose her. My son bought this game for me and I made me a house with Ms. Princess and myself in it and I spend my time playing with her. Now when my son calls me and if I am feeling low he tells me to go play the Sims. Smart Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
