Not a lot to really say. The game adds new cultures, wonders and special units They really add to the game. If you dig Civ 4...then you really need this expansion. The addition of the Great Generals to the Great Persons catagories is really cool to.

This expansion pack adds new dimensions to the orginal game in the form of new military units, wonders, buildings and leaders. More attributes are ascribed to the leaders as well. There is a shift of emphasis toward military action lacking in the core Civ IV game.
Very good expansion to great game

If you enjoy Civ 4 you will love the improvements the expansion disk brings. More civs, more leaders and traits, new great person addition, new units and new scenarios. The games AI has also been very much improved with the newest patch for the expansion disk.
The addition of new traits for leaders and realigning the previous leaders traits with the new has really improved the leader choices and strategies of the original game.
The new scenarios are all very good. Especially the challenging Chinese Unification and Genghis Khan scenarios.
Good add-on

Civ IV is one of the more addictive games I've played. The add-on provides some new wrinkles: I especially like each civilization having a unique building in addition to unique characters. I would give it higher rating, but the price is a bit much for an add-on. (That being said, I bought it within the first week it was available!)

I love this game. I have always been a big CIV dork but this pack really takes the cake. The new options and civs are wonderful. The melting of world history and a video game has been done masterfuly

Should have been part of Civ 4 from the beggining.
Bugs spoil the expansion and no patches available yet.

The best part about this expansion pack is the scenarios. Having played them all, I can say that they generally are fun, although a couple of them (like the Settling of America) fall flat. Most fun is either the Genghis Khan scenario or Barbarians. The Warlord unit is useful, but perhaps not as powerful as i would have expected. Overall, a good buy.

This is your typical expansion: added more content in regards to civlizations, leaders, scenarios, units, wonders and the such. I think there is alot of small little things that got added in that don't stick out like some of the more noticable items (ie leaders) Over all a good addition to the game. Not what I would call a supberb expansion but by no means do I think it was a bad on. More like average. Still it adds to the game and increases our enjoyability of the game - which really what expansion should do.

I have enjoyed Sid's games for years. This expansion has had mixed reviews as the beyond the sword expansion is rated higher. Over all i picked up this title to round out the Civ 4 series. It adds wrinkles to the game that if you don't pick up beyond the sword, will add bosses and other features that will improve the basic game.
