This is to clear up every thing aboot geting hitched and dating
NO maridge is NOT one of the endings and you can NOT date the girls AT ALL in this gamer they are JUST characters like all the other characters. theres NO dating no maridge AT ALL Clear? GOOD
P.S. OTHER VERSIONS MUCH BETTER

Although this DOES look very cool because of the interactive stuff and more crops etc, I disagree with many of the reviews. It DOES lose the cute animation style! I don't like the new guy much at all, or the other people's design either. I want to keep the other cutesy characters! If you look at the pictures they've drawn of the people, they either look
a. Sad
b. Mad
c. Over-happy!
Who cares if it isn't life like? The fact that nothing is really complicated as far as looks go is (one) of my favorite aspects! Everything isn't as suny and nice anymore, it always looks gray! Even though I don't own it, as far as I know I wouldn't want to as much as HM:BTN (which I hope to get- soon!)

Those who reviewed this game highly, well you can say what the will, but I have a totally different feeling. Most of witch is negative. Being a Harvest Moon fan from the beginning I have played every version of the console and most of the Game Boy games and previously even had a very successful web site on the series. Needless to say even though this series has no violence these games can be very fun however, this game is the one exception. This game is different from the other versions, besides the fact that it is cel shaded. In general this game is just not very fun. In many ways it seems as if the series has actually gone backwards. Less animals, worse interactivity, and not being able to get married are just some of these examples. If you really want to experience Harvest Moon I suggest the N64 version or preferably the Playstation 1 version. In general stay clear of this swing and miss by Natsume. I can only hope that the new Harvest Moon for Gamecube can put the series back in the right direction.

This game itself is amusing, and can be a bit addictive, but if you are a true Harvest Moon fan, you will get bored of this game fast. Unlike virtually all of the other HM games, you cannot get married, nor do you start out with a dog or horse. The gametime only lasts one year, in which you must pick a track. You can still have crops, and there are cows, no sheep. You must work to get a dog to like you, and become friends with the other farmers so they will give you a horse.

This game is a bit harder than the other HM games, and I would reccomend you try Back to Nature in place of this game, which I find is more engrosing.

Being a great harvest moon fan with her brand new PS2, I wanted a harvest moon game. I had played Back to Nature, 64, harvest moon 2, and so on. I brought the game for 10 bucks down at the mall. I couldn't wait to try it out! The first few days I played it were fun, don't get me wrong, but I was more looking forward to a game like Harvest moon 64. A free-form game that yes, would have a side-quest or two. I was in for a BIG surprise. The game is mainly character interaction. The only two animals you needed were your dog and horse.
Pro's
1. Good graphics
2.You have multiple choices of horse color.
3. Some of the quests are kinda fun
Con's
1.Not really a con...but do you see the way they sit on the horse? talk about uncomfortable o.O
2. The only two buyable animals you can get are cows and chickens, no not even sheep.
3. You only get 4 game months of time to do stuff.

As some of you know in my review of this game i stated that it was unclear if you could not get married, well i have found out is that you can't get married, but marriage may be 1 of the 9 endings. Just so you know, the game came out on Sunday it is just a matter of descision of the stores to decide when they want to sell the game. I got my copy of the USA/CANADA version on Sunday and have benn playing non-stop

This game was alright but it wasn;t nearly as good as ANY of the other Harvest Moon games. Personally I hated it, and I'v been a Harvest Moon fan for quite some time. This game only gives you a sertain amount of time to complete. and then u start over again, with the same stuff u had... i'v "saved the homeland" as many times as you could and it didn;t seem to be/get any more interesting.

This is a weird addition of Harvest Moon. It's kind of weird, but it gets away from your farm and to your homelands. There multiple endings for this game, but here's my review.

Concept- Harvest Moon on PS2 = Weird

Graphics- am I playing Dark Cloud Or Harvest Moon?

Sound- The Catchy music makes this one the Harvest Moon game with the best score

Playability- Easy as pie

Entertainment- Enjoyable from begining to end, but it feels a little Wierd

Replay- Moderate-High

Alex- 8.25/10

Overall I find this game awesome....

Although I do not own this game I have played it for many hours at my friends house. I find this to have it's ups and then it's downs. Although I am no Harvest Moon expert, I think this game is awesome.

Pros:
9 different endings
better graphics
fun gameplay

Cons:
It is very easy to get lost when starting out
No marriage this time
Less animals

I can say that this game is easy to love and easy to hate, so I advise that you to rent first. On happy note I have bought this game for Christmas, and I am planing to buy Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. A little hint: buttering up to the characters will help you in the long run. ;) I hope this review helped.
