This game was a waste of money. I brought the game because I thought it would be a lot of fun. It was a waste of time.

The description says this game is compatible with Windows 95, but in fact you need 98 or later and a pentium II 300 mhz processor.

If you're looking for a fun game, this is one of the top choices. Sometimes it takes a while to load, but it's very neat. You can build your own elevators, stores, and more. You can even create a movie theater! It teaches you to keep a budget. (Believe me, the money runs out FAST!)

Not as good as the others, but ok.

This game is good for fans of the tycoon games. I would not recommend this game to a person who has never played the tycoon games. If you are new to this genre of games, play Rollercoaster tycoon or Zoo tycoon first. This game is very confusing and there are some very annoying and confusing parts to it that I still don't get. The directions are very fuzzy and not at all specific. I still enjoy playing the game though, because it IS fun to make your own mall. If you have played a couple of tycoon games before, you should enjoy this one.

Last Christmas, I was going to get Zoo Tycoon, but when my mom went to the store, they didnt have any left so she bought this Mall Tycoon. It looked so cool on the cover that I installed it immediately. Turns out it looks nothing like it does on the cover. The walls are all weird red and pink colors and the floor is rainbow. It looks horrible! The people don't even look like they buy anything. In Roller Coaster Tycoon, when you see someone go up to a stall, they leave holding popcorn or a balloon! In Mall Tycoon, they held nothing! Even though it said they bought something. It's the worst game ever. I wouldn't even give it 1 star, but Amazon wouldn't let me. So please, save your money and buy some other tycoon game!

My sister got this game for me after she saw my addictive nature towards Roller Coaster Tycoon. I opened it up and thought the package had been mislabeled....well maybe not that bad but the graphics were antique and the basic functions of the game did not challenge you AT ALL!!! If you have a child 6-10 then maybe they would enjoy it but I doubt that it will hold their attention for long. The concept is full of holes. There is NO room for any creativity. I was very disappointed!

OK!(...) SEE I JUST GOT THIS GAME AND I HAVE NO CLUE ON WHAT TO DO!(...) I KNOW I NEED TO PICK UP TRASH, BUT HOW!(...) I BOUGHT THIS GAME A WALMART AND IT WAS JUST IN A CD CASE AND IT HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLAY IT ONLY HAD INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL AND UNINSTALLING IT!(...)I MEAN I'M SOO CONFUSED!(...) I've read all of these reviews from people who seem to be screaming mad over this game. Chill out, people! Yes, this game is not exactly up to par as far as graphics and play are concerned, but I'm an adult and I still had fun playing around with it. Will I spend all my free time playing? Probably not. But it kept me happy for a Saturday afternoon.

One of my biggest complaints about this game would be bugs. The websites for Mall Tycoon and Mall Tycoon 2 aren't loading at all, so I don't know if there are patches anywhere to be found. Besides the low-quality graphics (which honestly don't bother me that much), I have a problem with janitors and security getting stuck. Punks and robbers seem to be getting stuck, too. It's funny... I built a 2nd floor to my mall but didn't have enough money to put much up there... just flooring. Later on I went to build stores up there and there were like 10 robbers and 3 or 4 punks stuck up there!! No way to get rid of them, either...

If you're a big mall fan and don't mind a few little quirks, you might want to try this game out as a rental or find it on discount somewhere. I definitely wouldn't pay full price considering the quality... but like I said, I found it still somewhat enjoyable.

When I first go this game I didn't expect much. If you buy this game you shouldn't. I was having fun the first hour and a half aof play, then it just gets stupid. If you don't keep your mall clean, aliens come and take everyone out of your mall. And you need to maximize everything you can use to benifit your mall because you lose all of the money for upgrades and to pay employees. It is very cofusing and you don't get to set the prices of your limited stores. The graphics are horrible (the peoples faces are blocks) and you can only have two floors to your "mall". Most of the time, your mall is outside or has carpet floors. DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE COOL COVER LIKE ME! DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!!
