GREAT IDEA - HORRIBLE GAME

When I first saw this game, I was VERY excited. The idea of creating my own mall was like a dream come true. Once I got it, it turned into a nightmare. The graphics are horrible. You can't do anything with the people like you can in Roller Coaster Tycoon. The options are very limited and I can think of a better way to spend [my money]. ... Save your money!!!!!

Okay, I don't have this game. But! I went over to a friend's house, and she had just gotten it. So she started to play it, and I watched her. Well, just from watching her playing it, here's my opinion about it....

Pros: You can run a mall
You can make your mall to be 3 stories tall

Cons: It runs extremely slow
You can zoom out, but then when you zoom back in, you must wait for all of the stores to regenerate their pictures
Graphics are bad (The people don't walk, they have Barbie Feet!(Barbie Feet meaning that the legs don't open and close, the just skim across the floor))

Don't waste your money

This is one of the most disappointing games ever. The graphics are terrible, it's like something out of the early 80s when people didn't really know how to make great computer games yet. Don't waste your money or your time. I love tycoon games, and this one was awful.

This game was not good at all.
First of, the tools for building the mall were very difficult to use.
Second, the graphics were horrible, the walls were paper thin, and it was kind-of pixelated
Third, It got really boring because you can only put so much into the mall
And Fourth, it didn't explain how to hire workers for the mall or anything.
If you are thinking about buying this game. I suggest you download the demo first before you waste your money like I did. Just go to a search engine, type in the name to find a demo, and download. I doubt that you'll end up buying it though.

An embarrassment to the other Tycoons

My wife and kids have each enjoyed many hours creating their own amusements with both Rollercoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon, two games whose endless creative interactive possibilities can hold their attention for hours on end without fail. So when I ran across the similar-looking Mall Tycoon, the thought of a similar game with a shopping mall environment sounded right up their alley, inspired by all the engaging mall layouts pictured all over the box.

Well, it sounded like a good idea at the time.

Mall Tycoon's starting interface -- a big empty lot and a bland panel of cryptic controls for selecting and building walls and floors and such -- did not strike any of us as being remotely intuitive or easy to use. After spending a couple of stubborn hours stumbling about these controls, we were unable to figure out how to accomplish more than throwing up a few random-looking walls with odd paint jobs and a couple of arbitrary stores. How one could go from that clumsy mess to what was pictured on the box seemed unfathomable. If there is a way to do so, it was (1) not remotely obvious, and (2) clearly going to take far more forehead-banging *work* to figure out than any *game* (i.e. fun) should, so... back into the box it went.

My kids are still huge fans of the Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon games, and still have big hopes for some of the other Tycoon creations. But Mall Tycoon was clearly a waste of our money and time.

Mall Tycoon is the ultimate simulation for your mall shoppers everywhere!!!! If you Like Shopping this game is just right for you.I love this game. Be carful if your mall gets to trashy Zombies will invade your mall.They can turn your shoppers in to Zombies too!!!There are punks too so hire cops.You can Build up to 3stories.You can alsoDoReserch.I reccomend this game for ages 9 and up.If you want to find out more about this game visit [the website]

Ok...so i bought this game and i was so excited and I wanted to play this game right away. But as time went on, i noticed how corny the graphics were and how the people in the stores are totally different from the people on the outside and how they do the same thing!!!! This game is trash!!! If you want real fun, get zoo tycoon, the sims series, or rollercoaster tycoon. DONT BUY THIS GAME!!!!

I love simulation type games where one can make money and expand to build a mega mall but I was quite disappointed with this game. The graphics are cheap and there is nothing much of interest to look at while you wait to go bankrupt or spend hours changing the shop fees to actually make money. Nothing to write home about. Not worth the money.

A great game to play when you are bored with nothing else to do.

I used the cheats on this game also. That was the only way I could come close to enjoying this game.
If you can purchase this game at fifty cent's or less, it's a good deal. Don't pay anything over that price. It's not worth it.

If you loved Roller coaster Tycoon this is a must.

If your a roller coaster tycoon fan buy this game. It is the same thing as roller coaster tycoon but you build a mall. You can get security, janitor, and merry go rounds in your mall. Also you can get a roller coaster in your mall because every tycoon must have a roller coaster.This game is the best.
