This game is great to play. It has lots of challenging levels and it's great that they used the voices from the animated series. The only problem is that it's very easy to get stuck on a level.

An Excellent Video Game

This game, is as I said in the title, excellent. But I wouldn`t rate it a five, since it is a confusing game. I don`t know why it is rated Teen. Maybe for the very small ammount of violence in it. The game is good for all ages under 10 and I really enjoyed playing it. It has PS1 graphics which make it a bad addition to PS2. But still the game is fun to play once you ge the hang of the moves and how to use weapons. In conclusion,it`s an awesome game for ages under 10.

Not just for kids!

Batman:Vengeance starts off with the simple plot of a kidnapping by The Joker. But the plot thickens as The Joker falls off a bridge to his death and all of a sudden Joker imposters show up, ready to destroy Batman.

THAT'S ALL I'M TELLIN' ABOUT THE PLOT...don't wanna ruin it for ya. Now, as I said, this game isn't just for little kids. 1 reason is you don't even have to like the show, comics, or movies to like this! (I don't.) The 2nd reason is it's a fun adventure game that would really appeal to everyone. The 3rd is it's challinging, unlike...ummm, a Spider Man game. And the 4th and final:it's rated T!

However; There is a problem, and that would be the controls. You'll have to retry the same mission over and over, which sometimes makes you want to break the control.(And we've all exprienced that peticular feeling.) But, if you can hold in your anger, this will be an enjoyable game.

BAMM!! POW!! Frustrating at first, OK if you don't give up

I didn't really expect a lot from this game. I figured it would probably have a decent story, with humor; like is usually found in the cartoon, and also some fast-moving gameplay between the scripted scenes. Opening scene uninspired... with a typical explosion...Ok; maybe it will get better. Next half hour I go through a training session... maybe now the fun will start. Next hour, fight a few clowns and try to save the girl. As you keep jumping from ledge to ledge you will experience the frustration of falling to your death and having to start over. The next two hours and still stuck in the same scene. Jump #1 (made it barely), #2...made it #3 fall to your death; and start from the beginning. Repeated this process at least 20more times over the course of 2hrs with a headache from hearing the same music over and over. Almost broke my controller when I threw it on the floor. Contemplated returning it, a few days later gave it one last shot and was able to get through the level. I then found it fairly entertaining. The graphics are amazing, and the game does become addictive. If you've ever been a fan of the cartoon, I think it's worth it, but expect at least in the beginning to contemplate smashing the disc into bits.

Good and bad

The game is beautiful. The character rendering, the plot, and the sheer fighting ability of Batman are all first rate.

The game is misguided. The load time seems excessive but I could look past that if the designers gave me more people to fight. The few people you actually battle in the game are the only spots of enjoyment. The car and jet scenes are poorly conceived and tedious.

Batman is back with a vengeance.

This is a GOOD game. I loved it as soon as I saw the main menu. Definetly one of my favorite games. Being a batman fan since I was 2, I rented it as soon as I saw it. You control Batman as he fights crime and solves mysterys. (...) If you want a challenging, great, unbelieveable graphics game, buy this one! P.S. to beat the joker when you fight him in hand to hand combat, keep doing your special combo while he is firing his weapons.

Too easy, but great graphics

I like Batman's Vengance but I was a little dissapointed on how easy the game was. The graphics and plot make up for the simplicticness. I rented it on a Friday, and beat it on Saturday. Of course I didn't buy it, but if the price was lowered I might buy it because I love Batman.

True to the series, but only so-so as a video game.

I got my copy of Batman right after release day.. I've finished the game, but not after almost throwing my PS2 out the window.

The premise for the game itself is confusing - there are 5-6 separate story lines that are supposed to be drawn together by the cinematic sequences between levels. But they bounce back and forth with no explanation.

My second beef is with some of the levels - namely "Gasworks" .. WHAT a pain. I'm all for games that challenge skill level, but jeez.. I spent hours and hours trying to get through this one, and I'm hardly a novice to tough games. This level highlights the fact that the game developers really didn't seem to be going for any type of continuity or intuitive basis for their work.

The game looks great, though, and I hope that they'll continue to develop the series with stuff a little more exciting. It look, felt, and played like Spiderman did for the PS1... we'll see how they do with the next installment.

Batman's graphics are lovely, sound nice, story good. On the down side though, Batman's movements are stiff. He falls off of things to his death, often. I find that frustrating considering todays, new gaming technology. Batman's weapons are imaginative but slow to utilize. The batgrappler is sometimes difficult to target. I love the Batmobile and Batplane. They're fast and exciting to play with.

Don't bother

I wasn't expecting this game to be good. The gameplay is indeed very mediocre. But I thought I would get enjoyment out of hearing the same voice actors from the show. But I was wrong, it's not nice hearing the same voice actors when they're delivering these kinds of lines in a crappy storyline.
