989 just can't get it right...

Yuck! This game is NOT fun at all. All new cars, except they are all very l***. They still don't understand that bigger levels are not better! Some levels are so huge, that it takes 7 hours just to Finnish everyone off, plus they are ultra boring (The Maze is just plain miserable), atleast TM3 had some fun levels. Plus there is a ton of "wall driving". And the car movement is not as fun as any of the past 3 TMs. Avoid, unless your a HUGE TM fan!

For die hard fans of the genre

This game is below average and a discrace to the twisted metal genre. I mean people who are die hard fans might get a kick out of this, but for you other people might want to rent it first.
With the clunky controls and clunky combat system and new cars that make you crash into the wall every single time you use every single car. THe soundtrack is good but this game is a huge dissapointment. If you want to try this game, rent it at blockbuster.

This game is so fun. I love it. The graphics are not the best, but the game itself is awesome. If you haven't played it, You should.

Twisted Metal 1: good
Twisted Metal 2: great
Twisted Metal 3: good
Twisted Metal 4: bad

As a fan of the series I couldn't stand this game for more than 10 minutes.

Well, looks like Sony had to add another TM game to the never ending series (probably to make up for Twisted Metal 3-yuck). This is a very good game, but it just falls short from Twisted Metal 2. Everything is better than TM2; Sony's made some good improvements (secret places, etc.), but the levels are not designed as well. That's the drawback. The levels have TONS of secret places in them, way more than TM2, but they just aren't has fun, and get boring after awhile. That's why I give this game 4 stars.

But...for the price, it's a great game. And if your in the mood for blowing up cars, add this game to your collection!

ok i have all of the twisted metal games and 4 is by far the best.it has sweet graphics and the new cars are sweet.the levels are the coolest.there is a bedrom,oilrig,amazonia 3000bc,and much more.this is also the bast series play station has 2 offer.

In this game the object is to blow up other cars. You do this by picking up items like bombs. Each car has different armor, speed, and power. I think the best thing about this game is you can create your own cars. I also like you can play up to 4 players.

This can be a very confusing game. The levels especially Minions Maze are. There are many cheat codes to enter, but graphics are good and levels interesting. If I can say one thing rent this before you buy it.

This game rocks!1 thing I like about this game is that it has alot of new characters than the rest.heres some more reasons this game rocks,there are better special weapons,and more weapons to use,and alot more bosses that are alot better,and the best part is you could be the bosses when you win the game ,people thought Twisted Metal 2 was good ,well this is two times better!

I purchased this game not too long ago thinking that it would be like the first two Twisted Metals. However, it is nothing like them. In this version there is no storyline to be found. It is also near impossible to kill your opponent since both of your are trying to attack each other at high speeds. Playing this game seems like some blurry vision with a lot of explosions. It can also be too complicated at times. For being such a recently developed game, the graphics did not live up to my expectations.

The reason I decided to give this game two stars was because of the game music: Rob Zombie, Cirrus, Cypress Hill, Skold, Ghoulspoon, and One Minute Silence.

In conclusion, save yourself the money and stick with the first two Twisted Metals. I would recommend buying Twisted Metal 2: World Tour.
