It's really a solid game, it just get's old fast...

You know those games that the magazines all say is cool and your friends tell you about and it's the talk of the year, and when you buy it it's great, but your playing something else in a week. I think Tekken 3 is one of those games. I'll be honest, the game itself is fun, but repetative. You'll soon find that all of the characters and levels never change, and the Tekken Force mode does very little to improve. It, just like the game, gets old. I guarantee you will play the game all the way through just to unlock all the player videos though. If you can get the game used and VERY cheap, buy it. It's a fine game for a while, but nothing you'll play for years.

This is a superb game. It made the Greatest Hits, and it rightfully deserves the title. This game has pushed Playstation to the limit, and then some. Gameplay, graphics and sound have been mingled and merged into this sweet fighting game.

The cast of characters are very well done. It starts out with several realistic fighters, with different styles. Then, as the the cast grows larger, its a close encounter with the third kind (in the good way).

Graphics are astounding. Each character is incredibly detailed and their movements are very real. The thing I admire about this game is that there are no cheap fireballs or "fatalities" (however, True Ogre and Gon have a fire-breath move). Almost attacks are true hand-to-hand combat and look very impressive. The FMVs are very cool, especially the endings.

Sound and music flows perfectly with the the graphics and gameplay. Fists, kicks, screams, and even crunches- its all very satisfying. Music is very well executed. I'm a big fan of game music and I have certainly been impressed. I love that guitar in the background for the hidden characters. How about Heihachi's loud, fast-paced theme? Can't forget that electric guitar in Jin's place. Tekken 3 has the best tunes in a fighting game since Killer Instinct.

Gameplay is probably the best part of the game. It is so addictive to master all the moves. Each character fights in a different style, so no one truly has an advantage over another. The 1-player mode, which smoothly transfers from the arcades, is challenging enough. Tekken Force mode adds to the challenge, though it gets frustrating to do it 4 times just to get a useless old man anyway. Practice Mode features a myriad of options so that you can get familiar with a character. There are a variety of moves to master and its always exciting to execute them on your friends.

This is hands down the best fighting game out there. Its one of the most top-rated games, too. Highly reccommended.

Tekken 3 was the best of the Tekken series until 5, so I'd say this game is basic classic Tekken greatness... Pick it up if you love great oldschool fighting.

Okay this game is cool and has more moves and characters. It is cool becuase it has a diffrent background for each person and the graphics aren't bad either.

Sorry Tekken fans, good graphics, cool characters, but lacking personality. Yes, I know it's stupid to take off one star for personalities, but hey, I paid for this game!!! If you liked Tekken 2 without the personalities too, I recommend buying this with Tekken 2.

Fun arcade game, Good to play with friends. graphics are typical psx, don't expect too much. takes a couple hours per character to learn their special moves. Fun. over all 4 stars.
