A Whole Lotta Game Packed Into One Little Disc

Syphon Filter is a masterpiece. The graphics, the design, the sound, the voice acting (wow!) and the animated cut-scenes (double wow!) are equal to anything that you will find on PS2. Most importantly, it's FUN!!! I've had the game now for two weeks and I've played it straight-through four or five times and I continue to be amazed. This is not some mindless shoot-em-up, no. This is a game that requires you to think, strategize and be alert--in other words, it redefines everything that you've come to expect from games. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

Ah, the PS1 era, where we didn't notice the crpaulent 3D graphics and actually thought that they looked... good. Well, the game has aged poorly from a graphical standpoint, but as a game, still as fun as it was the first time around. Although i fist passed it off as a poor man's Metal Gear, the game is actually quite different, interplaying both stealth and gunplay quite well. I reccomend very much.

This was the first game i bought when i bought my playstaion. I didnt know if it was gonna be good or not, but it was well worth the money i spent on it. If u like Goldeneye on N64, you HAVE TO GET THIS GAME! Syphon Filter is BETTER than Goldeneye 64. syphon filter is also better than any shoot-em-and-kill-em game. BUT IT TODAY!

well, to start of, it's really one of the greatest games, if not the best, to be ever made for the PS1!!! it's gonna be tough at first but as you progresses and be able to get used to the game, you'll enjoy it more than you expected. it's not enough to describe the action and enjoyment you'll have w/ this game unless you yourself have tried it!!! so what are you waiting for? go out and buy yourself a real treat that you'll surely love and glad to have!!! syphon filter series is the best collection you'll ever had 'coz STONE COLD said so!!!

I went to the store wanting to pick up a game but not sure what I should get. The clerk suggested this one. I had never heard of it but I got it anyway. Great choice!! I know many say this is nothing more than a well done clone of Metal Gear Solid, but this is not true. They play completely Differently. SF is so much more fun to play. There really is no comparision. I would rate MGS a 31/2 stars compared to SF's 5 across the board.

The best action game I have ever seen for Play Station.

This is a must have for any Play Station owner. The graphics are amazing, the game is almost endless, and the situations are original and incredibly challenging. This is definitely an adult game - and that's the thing I like most about it.

Metal Gear Solid Lite

And I really don't mean that as a bad thing at all. This game captures much of the feel of Metal Gear Solid without some of the complexity of the plot, and yes, some of the neat gameplay features.

Overall, this game gives more of a shoot-to-kill impression. Take your pistol, go for the head shots, then grab up those automatic HKs that the gaurds drop. In each levels the enemies get progressively harder (from impossibly bad shots in the first level, to flak-vest clad automatic-weapon toting trios in the later levels), making that head shot all the more important as time goes on.

The gameplay is great and the levels impressive. My personal favorite is one where two different forces are caught up in a small scale war, and you need to dodge the gunfire to accomplish your mission. It's fun to get caught up in the mass melee, if a bit unproductive.

All in all, this is a great game for the Playstation console.

This is the most funnest game I've ever played. It really puts yourself in the position of actually being an FBI Agent, defending Washington D.C. from the Syphon Filter Virus. The graphics are superb, the gameplay is so realistic, because you have no imaginary weapons, like DOOM, and Quake's alien blasters. This game is a must have, also the movie play it has, it's very understandable for all of the slow learners, and it's not a waste of time. My favorite part was shooting the yellow guys at the beginning of the game, and running on stealth. Like I said before, this game is a MUST HAVE!

This is one of my all time favorites! The control is exellent. The graphics are cool.....and in my opinion its better than metal gear solid. Dont get me wrong metal gear was cool....but i like syphon filter better. The game isnt too long and it isnt to short. Also it isnt to hard and it isn't to easy. BUY THIS GAME Right now its only $20 here on amazom.com! GREAT GAME GREAT PRICE!
