If you thought the Megaman X series would end..well its justs keeps going! It gets better every time. So this game features the use of X and Zero. YOu get 3 different types of armor for X. My personal favorite is the Shadow armor which can make you slice the saber really fast and stick to ceilings. This is one of the many great things in this game. So this is the game to get for all you Megaman fans.
Megaman X6 ROCKS!

This was my first megaman x game, after playing it for a while,
I thought, Gawd, this is easy, but then one the Nightmares touched a reploid and turned him into a crazed, zombie-like killing machine! This game is a step up in difficulty from X5,
relying a lot on your speed and reflexes. You can still play as zero when you find him, though, and his new moves kick @ss!
Overall: Buy this game if you have a knack at Megaman X Games.
If you do, the enter this code at the main screen and start a new game... left. left. left. right.

K. Here's the deal with X6: it's hard. Mostly, though, it's not the hard as in, needs skill and timing and practice, but hard as in, "they" fill the screen with as much [stuff] as they can, and you just have to try and survive... When I first played the game, I was so infuriated at the lameness that I couldn't play it for a week. But I'm glad I started again. Once you take the time to learn the levels, it's a really fun game. Plot kinda remind's me o' X3, and Zero needs to STAY DEAD,... But it's fun.
Also, the levels arn't "randomly generated" as much as they're randomly altered...
OH MY GOD

This game is the best megaman EVER! The nightmare adds a toughness to this game never before seen. In the old MM games you could just memorise the level, but not now. with the randonizing affect of the nightmare adds difficulty to the game.
The only problem i have is with the flea dude HE IS ... HARD AND SO IS HIS LEVEL OMG AND SO IS THE TURTLE GUY! BUt hey every game has is hard spots.
Okay for a Megaman fix

I've been a fan of Megaman since I was nine (wow, back in the day of the Nintendo... I think mine still works.), and fondly remember my fandom for Megaman grow as I play MMIV, V, MMX, and Megaman X4. More recently I've played the 3D Legends series and LOVE the fact it's so lighthearted, but I LOVED the melodrama of X4! To return to the X series, I bought X6.
Ack! To my dismay, there was ZERO (as in NONE) animated cutscenes! Only still screens of characters and Japanese Dialogue (which I actually prayed for over the horrible US voice overs in X4), with scrolling English. How sad!!! Plus the fact I found zero withtin an hour sort of poured cold water on my expectations of a plotline... He used to be the COOL guy I wanted to play through the entire game in X4, but now he needs X to find all his powerups for him before he can even survive. :p
Let's talk upgrades: I don't like the fact I have to find EVERY part of an armour to use it. I find 6 pieces, but guess what? I'm still missing one from each. Not to mention when I go back to revisit levels to find the missing pieces, the "Nightmare Effects" system annoys me even more. Sure, it's fun (and almost surreal) to see nightmare Zero chasing you. But it's just isn't challenging (it's ANNOYING) when they turn out the lights, making it impossible to see during certain levels (well, you can stand there long enough and wait for enemies to hit you first...) Now I find myself having to restart the ENTIRE game because I didn't play the levels in the "correct" order since w/o boots for better jumps, I can't advance.. and yet with the Nightmare system on, I can't get the upgrades due to a) a big sliver block blocking my way to the capsule b)icy blocks impossible to advance unless I have a longer air dash ability c)I can't see a thing in the dark!
Fans of the X series: play X4 again and wait for the next one. This one is pure dissapointment.
The best X game I've ever seen!!!

THis game was said to be one of the worst of the series, but once I got used to it, it was the greatest game. The Nightmare Phenomenon, returning from MegaMan X1, makes a great addition. The armors in this game are stunnig, and the play control is beautiful. I espescially like the introduction. It's music and animation from JPop is wonderful! This is a game for all people, even those who are not familiar with MegaMan!
Why is it the same?

Well, it's an ok game. But technically, it's been the same thing for years. 2d. Why can't Capcom make it 3d for once? The really good game is MMX4 because they actually have some movies in there. MMX5&6 are almost the exact same think, except the story line. I am a major MMX fan, but Capcom needs to add a little variety. Know what I mean??
MegaMan x6 is the bomb!!!!

Ultimately the best Megaman game since X4. I know everyone was excited when X4 was the first X game to be released for psx and we were all a little dissapointed with X5(except for the armors) but X6 brings all the other X games to shame. This game has very few flaws unlike X5, the gameplay is superb and the armors are awsome! I can only find a few things wrong with this game. Unfortunately Zero's Black armor is no longer accesible and but X's Ultimate armor is still fully functional. The new armors are great but of course like every armor ever assembeled by the designers at capcom they both have one fatal flaw each.
Shadow Armor: This I find is much like the Gaea armor but much faster. But this armor is lacking the ability to do a mid-air dash.
Blade Armor: They have finally brought back the concept of air-dashing up and side to side. But Although it is called the blade armor, to access the charged blade you must press up while releasing the button unlike the Shadow which is automatically charged.
All in all this is the most challenging X game since, well, ever!
If you want the perfect X game with all the Perfect elements a game will ever need(Those being great gameplay, storyline, graphics, and options) Then X6 is your dream come true! Can't wait till "Megaman & Zero"(The latest X game in progress)!
