Greatest Game ever played

Hi, i'm Chris, i'm a huge fan of Starcraft. It's the greatest game i've ever played. Nothing can top it, axept the second one. It has cinamatics with amazing graphics, battle net and a campaighn editor. You can also play on network. Truly the greatest game ever made.

This game is so much fun, I think everybody should at least try it. I like looking at some Terrans being killed by one of my killer Lurkers burried in the ground. And then erasing all other creatures on the map is great! On the other hand it is very easy to be killed by the computer, but you can even have a friend with you playing another race, helping you...or get rid of you! As you like it. So come on and try it!!!!

This game is awesome. I got it several years ago and its great! I have been a previous Blizzard fan and have enjoyed Warcraft 1 and 2 a lot but this game blows them away! It supports both the Mac and PC and does not require an expensieve video card. The Price is awesome! Also if you like Starcraft, check out Brood War, the expansion pack. Both are quite reasonably priced. The Multipayer is good and the AI is quite good as well. You can also create your own maps and ply them online. BUY THIS GAME!
You'll love it.

Starcraft, or should I say "Warcraft in Space" is yet another dull attempt by Blizzard to make a Real Time Strategy game that can contend with the likes of Total Annihilation and Command and Conquer. I loved the Warcraft series mainly because it pushed the RTS genre to new heights, but regretfully Starcraft only hurts what Warcraft helped create. The graphics in Starcraft are nothing spectacular, especially compared to Total Annihilations 3D units and various landscapes. The music isn't much better. But the thing that annoyed me the most is the gameplay. Every stage you have to upgrade the same crap! Plus you can only control 12 units at a time. It's so annoying waging a war with squads of 12 units. Almost every other RTS game can hold an infinite number of soldiers. My next problem is the lack of units. There's maybe 20 units per race. 1 or 2 infantry units, a few vehicles, and 2 or 3 planes. Whereas Total Annihilation(I keep going back to TA mainly because this game came out almost a YEAR before Starcraft) has about 200 units per race with the option to download more from the internet. The storyline is also pretty bad. It's basically a brief conversation between each mission. The Command and Conquer and Warcraft series had incredibly enthralling stories that had me on the edge of my seat before each mission. All in all I can't recommend Starcraft to anyone, I know everyone else loves it, but I've played plenty of RTS games and this is truly not one of the better ones.

Starcraft is one of the most annoying games ive ever played. Sure, terran marines give u a little laugh now and then but the controls are frustrating. You have to right click(why not the usual left-click?) to select units and you cant deselect them. Building times are extremely long- and so are the units. Gameplay on my PC is overall boring and slow( on a Pentium II 400, voodoo3, 96mb RAM). I have only got up to the third terran mission then finally gave up. And whats up by only controlling 12 units at a time? The Command Conquer series lets you control all units you have on screen.Starcraft's ingame graphics aren't that good, FMV qualty is terrible and Battle.net gives you a pain in the a** because of its slow server and few options. Westwood online gives the player more options and is also faster. All in all, i say the command and conquer series is better - go play tiberian sun or red alert or any other C&C game - SC isnt worth your time or money.

Even the Big Guy Plays

And the Lord said, " Let there be Star Craft ". He saw that it was good and there was Zerg, Protoss and Terran on the sixth day. On the Seventh day, he did not rest, he was awake, kicking the crap out of some 15 year old from Oklahoma over his cable connection.

God sent forth his marines and firebats of enlightenment, and bestowed a wrath upon the child's Zerg renderring them molten masses of flesh. You see, no one does it better than the big guy, Blizzard.

Star Craft is the most addictive game to date. I have had this game for quite some time and just recently started playing online with brother and friends, WOW!

This is a very good strategy game. If you just LOVE StarCraft64 or the books then you WANT THIS!

All u people out there that don't think any simulation/action games are good. think again. with the expansion set with medics (thanx to god) and those pesky lurkers it is the BEST

When I first played this game, it was frustrating, but in a fun way: HOW CAN I DEFEAT THEM WHAT WILL THEY DO NEXT, kind of like a mind game or something. After u get the hang of it, its all fun! If MISSION OBJECTIVES arnt ur thing, then they have COSTOM GAME section, so u only need to destroy all the buildings. great game a mustHAVE for u "BIRDS EYE VIEW" kind of players.
