Yu-Gi-Oh is much better then pokemon.The monsters are tougher then little pikachu. Dueling with much more monsters.

the reason i gave tis game five stars is becuase i lived in japan for six years and played and owned the game in the japanes version and the graphics are great the story line is the best card game that ever came out i have requiered the english verson of fobbiden memories and it was great but the row was short and the three-d was ok but it stinked a bit but after wating for the american version for ps2 came out over hear i saw the prevuois drawings and pitures i was excitead to see them so i decidead to pre order the game on the internet and thas my reason i gave it five stars i now this my not be much but this what i think.

From what i heard this game is better than forbidden memories,and if it is you know that it's a good yugioh game for the PS2.The only thing that upsets me is that it comes out way down in Feburary,but i don't have to worry because i already rserved it.

It is a good game. I love Yu-Gi-Oh and this is good for poeple who do. The grafics are great and it is so real. I think it is one of the best games yet that they have made for yu-gi-oh and if you love yugioh or even like it this is the game for you.

The only thing that's weird and stupid about this awsome game is that your deck level has to be less than that of your oponent which realy [is bad]. But the oponents are easy to beat execpt for Seto Kaiba. But other than that this game is cool.

This is not a direct dis to Yu-gi-oh!, lord knows I love watching the tv show. I have a Dark Duel Stories for my
GBA(game boy). That game was Pretty hard at first but I managed
to get through it. It turned out to be really fun to play. This game on the other hand, Duelists of the Roses, upset me. I saw an ad for it in a game magizne. It seem real cool and all since it was on the PS2, that didn't help it though. This game was a huge disapointment and a learning experience...I wanted this game to be right from the cartoon series, where you would get to walk around a town, find shops, duels, trade cards with other characters, that would have been a great game and it would look be-yu-ti-ful!especially on the PS2. Duelists of the Roses does not have to be akward... but it is,
Duelists of the Roses could be closer to the cartoon series.. but it isn't. You see this game is like playing chess with cards.
You move around a bored and play your cards that the computer makes you chose in the beginning of the game. There are three decks to choose from, THEY ALL [smell]!. Your first opponent is Weevile or Rex Raptor who all have cards that are over
1000 atk points. While you on the other hand have maybe one card with 1000 atk points. This game is not challenging it is
AG-RA-VA-TING 10 TIMES. If you really want to play this game do so with a stratagy guide, please... Go Yu-Gi-Oh!

This game is good but one thing. The fusion card can barely be used you should be able to use it whenever you want to. That's all about the bad side of this game

The graphics of Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist of the Roses were great. "I'll give it that." But the way of dueling was horible. In order to attack your opponent's monsters you have to move the card on to the space to attack. Also magic and trap cards can be attacked by monsters. When in regular card games magic and trap cards can only be destroyed by other magic or trap cards. I only give this game one star and thats for the graphics.

First off this game is ridiculously complex for children. I orginaly purchased it for my 4 and 6 year old as they are big fans of the show, and there is no way that they could play this.

Second the story line is horrid. I mean you expect it to follow the show to some extent. Instead your taking a side in the British war of the roses. I mean how many kids that would be playing this game even know what the war of the roses is.

Third the difficulty is very high. You start out with two set opponents and right from the start they have monsters who are much stronger than anything you have. Only by blind luck can you win enough to gain more cards.

Don't bother, too much blah, blah, not enough action.

I was very dissapointed in this version and would not recomend this game, especially for young players under 12. It takes much too long with senseless dialouge and finally when you do get to the action, is not user freindly. The Playstation 1 version is much better and easier in addition to being ... cheaper.

PS: Toys R Us does not provide refunds for any opened games, save yourself fifty dollars and pass on this game. I wish I had!
