this game... is six years old...
the interface in the begining... the.. interaction in the middle.... why couldnt they have voice overs.. its.. BORING to READ..
why couldnt they make a new yu-gi-oh for ps2 only??
they just add on the old game with some "3d" graphics and calling this a ps2 game....
i am very disappointed...

This game is great for kids and adults too! I gave it to my son the day it came out and he loved it!!! I remember getting him Forbidden Memories for Playstation and he was not as excited. 3 exclusive cards even come with it! I would recommend this game to any parent who's kid likes Yu-Gi-Oh and has a Playstation2.
mix between fun and boring

The battles in this game are the only thing that is good about this game. The battle style is horrible, one can only place one CARD on the field at a time (you play a magic, you can not put down any more monsters), the effects for the monsters are all messed up. However the deck leader adds an interesting twist and you can go on either Yugi's side or Seto's

I think this is the single-handedly worst game I have ever played. The gameplay was horrific. The graphics looked like something off of Sega Genesis rather than a PS2. And what's with that 30 minute intro??? Let's through all the cards on the table this game stunk.
Too long in beginning

I'm the type of person that will play just about any enjoyable game whether it be Rugrats or Def Jam Vendetta. If the game is fun, I will play it for the game itself and not for the hype surrounding it or the title of the game and what it means outside of video games such as Yu-gi-oh duelist of roses. Don't get confused, I hate this game not because it's yu-gi-oh and I'm 15 yrs old, because I would play Rugrats if I'm bored. This game is simply way too long in the beginning and thats a huge downfall if that's how the game is going to start everytime unless you buy a memory card to save. Do not buy it, I guarantee you. Listen to this, my younger brother is in love with yu-gi-oh the card series, but when he played this game once after he got it for x-mas, he hasn't even looked at it ever since. So it's not just me criticizing the game. Trust me, ...and dont buy this game.

I found that the game has several flaws in it. Like that the computer has so many good cards and you have like 2 good cards. It doesnt even resemble duel monsters and you have to move the card to be able to attack. and the computer always has his field advantage. these are just some of the bad things

My 7 year old wanted this for his birthday so I got it for him. He does Yu-Gi-Oh cards everyday and knows just about everything there is to know about the cards. He was bored with this game in less than 5 minutes. It had just to much talking between the charactors and nothing to tell you how to use them. I took this game back the very next day..
This game is worthy of the title Yugioh

I'll be honest, this game is short. Some sites even offer a code that will wreck the fun for sure, by allowing you to aquire all cards. I have played almost all of the games created and I really think that if you stink at the cards and can't confound your little brother at dice or chess, take a wack at this! The game's graphics are top notch, they really capture the feeling that these monsters could exist! The lighting and graphics go hand in hand. I don't know what others say, but the battle sequences can rise up to a mythical level, and really don't take that long to load. I, the greatest monster lover of all time, give this game a well presented, well played 4 out of 5.
