Remember the series Playmakers on ESPN? That's pretty much what they modeled this game after. They kept some of the WWE stlyed hits (Powerbomb, bulldogs ect)
The game play is ok, it takes way to long to load though. The editing players feature is kind of nice although limited.
I don't care for some of the music/language in this game, and the "blood" at times seems to be a bit uncalled for. I still would have bought it, but I'll probably trade it in as soon as I beat it.

I mean the songs no one has ever heard of them. And one of the stupid songs says I don't hemmy h*ll what. And another song is football players singing and the chearleaders going ooie ooie in a high pitch voice and they play it every 5 seconds. Then its time to talk about the computers god powers. In campaign mode you start with a team that are all c's and d's for the player's rankings. Oh the sh*t keeps rolling because all the other teams you play in the game are all A+'s as the player's rankings. But the Sh*t keeps rolling because every pass you throw is tipped in the air an makes this annoying sound like zoink and when it is always intercepted unless you happen to get lucky and you catch the ball then they hit you so damn hard that you fumble the ball and it breaks your player's spine which brings out the worst in your team because after they injur a few people you will be stuck with your 4th and 5th string players. That's when the god powers come into play because they run so much faster than all the other players that it takes 3 pretty good hits then they just stumble to the ground or sometimes they will just keep going ignoring the hard hit you just put on them. If you happen to hit them hard which never happens then they won't fumble and they won't get injured. I hit a quarterback 5 times in a row an 2 hits was an unleash and he kept going with no injuries. If you don't get them on the first hit they use god like powers to run super fast and push over your players and sometimes they will jump 14 feet over your defense and run for a touchdown. If you are a true gamer and you have a gameshark there is no cheats for this game. So if you lose to many times in campaign it start forcing you to play the same team until you beat them. Most games at that point will take you 4 tries to beat the team. The drugs take 3 games until they make you better then it doesn't even make you that much better. Overall I just played this game because I rented it an wanted to beat it to prove that I could beat the game even with all the god powers.

This game is OK but I really think it is just a copy off of NFL street just a bit more for teens and adults. really over all the game stinks and NFL street is way better.
Good with one major flaw

This game is really good, but i don't think they tested it enough to figure out that the loading times are way too long. So if you do not have a lot of patience, good luck with this game :)
Good, but needs second edition

I loved the game but when there was no second making (next season) I immediately sold it off. No need to own a game that when you see something cool, it will never be there again.
fun for a time

well i bought this game shortly after it came out and for the first few months i loved it the dirty hits the injuries i thought it was all great the load times were horribly long and after working to beat the story line for a bit it was a huge let down once i beat the game i hoped it would go on to maybe another division since they kept saying that the league was three tier all logic told me you would go through all tiers ...nope all in all its a fun game to play with others and its fun to play every now and then still even though ive had it a while but after the first couple of months i found myself really wanting to play something more realistic with some rules
Do you want to feel the pain?

If you do, buy this game. I have not played in any other mode besides campaign mode; however, in campaign mode the computer has super-human powers. Someone could have a monster lead in this game and the computer would find a way to come back in the fourth quarter. For example, several times I've had good-sized leads against the computer and several times the computer has ended up winning because something unrealistic will happen, like you will fumble the ball on every possesion or the ball will get tipped and the defense will intercept it--on every possesion towards the end of the game. The only reason I rated the game better than I rated the fun of the game is because the graphics of the game are good. In addition, I think that clash mode is a terrible idea. It works more to the computers benefit than it does yours. Yes, you can execute dirty hits but it's much harder for you to perform them than it is for the computer to execute them. In other words, prepare to fumble the ball alot and have alot of injuries because the computer is going to hit you more than you're going to hit it's players. I purchased this game because I thought it would be a updated version of the old arcade stlye blitz--which I really liked as a kid. If you're expecting that prepared to be disappointed.
