The best damn game ever played

There are injuries from 1 play to 1 season that is so cool. I like when the players get injured because they show the bone crack. I play this game everyday at home it is one of the best games of all time.

I think that Blitz the Leaque is a pretty good game. One reson why I like it is because of the gameplay and graphics. One thing that i don't really like about it is that it reminds me of NFL street.

FIRST.. let me say that the majority of Madden fans are not going to like this.

SECOND.. This is not, i repeat, not a Football game.

and THIRD.. this review is based on the PS2 Version

This is my honest opinion, this game is just a fancier version of NFL Blitz. Blitz the League is all about one thing, the bone-breaking hits. Stratergy don't matter. Lets talk about the PS2 Version... Load times, not only impossibly long, you aren't really sure if it is doing anything. Also once you made a decision to look at a feature, it doesnt give you a chance to back out. You have to wait until the feature load, and then you can back out, which also takes a bit to load. It also takes a long while for the game to save to your memory card.

And now for the game features..
If you want to play as one of the good teams, the only way you can do that is in quick game. You cannot choose one of the previous made team (like the nightmares) and play a season with them. Personally this part of the game sucks. The only option is to create a non-existing team. Once the team is created (drafting, uniform choices, stadium choices, coaches), then you can start playing. The teams you go up against are superstars. They constantly go into the unleash mode and almost impossible to take them down.

Speaking of going into the unleash mode, it is difficult to pull of, as you have to hold down L2 and hit X.. and many times it does nothing.

Overall I can imagine the game being fun only in the head to head mode with a human, but as far as single mode playing, it wears thin quickly. Its just that their isn't anything special about it. I also would find that younger players would have a lot of fun with this, but the user of language makes this impossible to give this as a gift to anyone under 17. Also, I think anyone over 18 will find the game, kinda boring. Personally, I was over this game after about 90 minutes of game play. It's going to be a dust gatherer, unless i have company over and we want a good laugh, then we may put in blitz the league. Not as fun as being advertised.

We may need Terminix on this one..............

I would sincerely love to tell you how much I liked and/or disliked this game; the problem is that I cant get it to play on playstation2 for longer than 1:47 into the first quarter without it crashing..over and over and over again....and no my playstation2 is fine if thats what youre thinking. This game has obviously not been properly tested (before they unleashed it onto the gaming market), for bugs and programming problems. I have NEVER played a playstation2 game that has crashed as consistently or as often as this piece of garbage, and it seems to me that they spent a hell of alot more cash marketing this turd, than actually making sure the game played smoothly and without problems. To me that sucks big time and it pisses me off a great deal. I think it may have had the potential to be a great football game, had it not been for their rush to get it out without proper testing. Its just a good thing these clowns arent making cars (or parachutes). Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend it, unless you want to wait for the first waive of recalls, and maybe pick it up after they get it to work. The game IS very good for listening to gangsta rap while you wait for the graphic engine to start running again (during yet another crash), that is if the audio doesnt start skipping indefinitely first. I think whoever made this game should have stuck to writing code for "Zork" on the Commodore 64, because PS2 is obviously out of their league, and I for one am getting my money back. If you want to get really aggravated and ruin your night, this is a must buy!! I award Lawrence Taylor no points..and may god have mercy on his soul....

LOAD TIME...be prepaired to wait! Other then that it's a fun game that keeps you playing.

ok, this game is fun, especially the dirty hits to break some bones, ok cons are: well the load times are outrageously long and the magicall powers the computer can magically dish out are not that great either you can use clash and the computer some how magically flys over the whole feild and tackles you into a fumble. other times you can land thousands of dirty hits on one guy with thousands of different men all in the same play and he magically still has the energy to evade EVERY SINGLE TACKLE/ DIRTY HIT YOU DO! Still a very fun game offense is incredibly easy but not nearly as fun as defense yes theres cussing but its rated m whatd u expect but as i said earlier about the computer being able to evade everything and still have a ton of energy u can use clash and stiff arm the guy and make him fall but he somehow never hits the ground no matter how hard the stiff arm the guy and he gets right back up and breaks your guys neck. all in all this is a fun game and id recomend it to anyone who arent fans of "realistic" football.

Fun, if you can deal with waiting 12 minutes to start the game

The title says it all, this game takes 12 minutes to load and get to the point where you can play one player campaign mode. Havent timed the two player mode load time yet, but i expect it to be very close.
