Lego Star Wars Rocks

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

This is a fun game! If you are a Star Wars fan, and love Lego toys, then this game is for you. There are a lot of adventures and places to go before you can say you've done it all. You can even change your character in the middle of a battle to get different abilities. You can even change to be the same as the bad guys, and they stop shooting you, but you still shoot them! When you play in 2 player mode, you both are on the same screen, so it takes some cooperation to go anywhere, since the game forces you to have both players on the same screen.
Good fun for all.

My sons 6-11 love it

I haven't played the game, but I got it for my Star Wars fan son when it first came out. All of my sons like this game and keep returning to it. They are figuring out how to unlock the 4th episode level. If you have a young one and they like Legos and Star Wars, I guess you have a winner here.

The Best Star Wars Game ever

To some people this game may sound kiddish or dumb because it is made from legos but this game is for everyone who loves star wars. This is probably the best game I have ever played than Harry Potter Quidditch world cup (you can read my review on that for xbox). In this game you can play in Episodes 1, 2, and 3. There are 50 are more characters to unlock. This really follows the story plot and can get hard. When you die you just come back there are no real lives but you lose lego studs (Money). After you beat all three episodes get all the minikits and full Jedi in every level a mystery door next to the three episode doors is unlocked. In this you get to play as Darth Vader and a clones trooper in the first part of Episode four (4). This stuff may sound confusing but you will understand it when you play the game or read the manual. Hk

Lego star wars. I know what your thinking, "What the hell?!?!" No way! I was expecting a piece of crap considering how bad ALL of the previous lego games were. GOOD GAME. I would highly recommend this. The good stuff is the fun puzzles and collecting the "minikits" and filling up your "jedi meter" to get to the "?" level. The puzzles are fun, the lego characters are funny and inovative, free play mode with a bunch of SW characters is fun, and the hack 'n slash gameply is over all playable.
What is bad? Ok, if you die, you lose 1000 studs, or money, and respawn in the same room. Too easy. Also, the game can be beaten in a measly 6 or 7 hours. Thats about it. Buy the game! I'm a tough critic! I gave Halo 2 a 4! I'm tough as nails! get the game damnit!

Nicely done!

I'm a fan of parodies, from Weird Al, to Thumb Wars. This has to be the best one I've seen in a while.
The sequences between playable levels are really funny & well done, using the original music & sound effects from John WIlliams & Lucasfilm.

I'm also a fan of all the Star Wars games, which I've began plaing on the old arcade game which was a simple vector-lines based game, to the Nintendo, SNintendo, Nintendo64, and XBOX systems. The playability is very good, especially considering the simple controls. It's nice to be able to have 2 player co-op as well.

WELL DONE!

Your kid won't be able to get through this game alone.

Unless your kid is a gaming genius, they won't be able to get through this game themselves. I had to jump in and help my 12 year old many times, and was finally able to find a write up on how to get through the game online, so we could get through the game. Alot of the levels are fun and easy, but some are really hard. You don't get check points soon enough in some areas, such as the Podrace on Episode 1, the chase scene on Episode 2, and 2 levels are particularly hard on Episode 3, Level 1 and Level 6. You manage to get through some really difficult challenge only to find the next one even harder and if you don't make it through, you go back to the beginning. If your child gets frustrated easily and can't keep repeating the same actions over and over again, don't get this game for them, unless you plan on taking over and playing it for them.
I know alot of gamers are now probably going to blast me, but for the Average Joe who is looking for an easy game that you will enjoy, this one is not it. Your child will have fun and be able to get through many levels by themselves, but it will not easy getting through the whole thing by themselves. The saving grace on this game is that you can't be killed completely. Even if you lose all your lives and points, you can still keep trying to get through a level without having to go back to the beginning.
In addition, there are mini kit pieces to find in each level, and you have to find all kit pieces to fully create the ship. You won't be able to get all of the kit pieces the first time through in story version and you have to go back through with different characters and get the kit pieces. Even then, you will probably need a walk-through and have tremendously good jumping skills and a profound amount of patience to get them all.
We rented the game for 2 weeks and will buy it when the price comes down, because we want to eventually achieve Jedi status and unlock the secret level, and earn all the kit pieces.

The first few seconds i played this game, and i was hooked. Its title may make people think its a poser video game, but i say its the real deal. its also fun to beat up your partner, giving them less limbs and stuff. i rate it a 11 out of 10 because its just that good!
Also, here are a few cheats to use at dexters diner
~Ki Adi Mundi = DP55MV
~Padm`e = 92UJ7D
P.S. all the codes require lego Studs.

Finally, an awesome title for kids and parents

This game is a great game for parents to play with their kids or even kids of varying levels to play togethor. The price may be on the high side but games that are so well tuned to kids play yet still fun for grownups don't come along very often.

The purpose of this game is to find and collect things as you work your way through the level. Once you complete a level you can go back and play it any number of times in free play mode. This is important as you won't be able to find and unlock everything in story mode.

Individual lego peices constitue money and the money can be spent on unlocking additional characters or game enhancements (mustaches, purple lightsabers, invincibility). Canisters contain pieces to little lego ships that get built and live in the parking lot. Special blue sparkly lego pieces constitute 'jedi ability' and gain you pieces to an additional special lego ship.

It is not easy to find all the canisters and sparkly blue things and will require a couple trips through a given level. In freeplay mode you can play any unlocked character and switch between them. This becomes crucial to solving puzzles to obtain 'stuff'.

'Killing' an enemey means breaking them into little lego bits. The significant majority of the enemy are 'robots' of some form or another. As the parent of sensitive 4 and 6 year olds this is very good.

Each player has unlimited lives. You get four hearts per life although new hearts are usually readily availalble. Losing a life means losing some of the points that you had collected so far in the level. You never lose canisters or sparkly blue things. That means that having your little one play along with you adds no stress since they can't impede overall progress. That in itself is just awesome. The ability for either player to pop in or out at any point adds to the low stress inclusion factor.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the camera isn't controllable and that sometimes that makes for akward play as somethings you can't see your characters or the stuff they need to do.

There is a ton of stuff to unlock in this game all of which are fun. Seeing the little lego people duke it out is fun, as is seeing the in game lego creations. Star wars fans will especially love this as the various levels cover scenes from all three movies.

I just wish I could get my wife to play this...

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game might be one of the greatest games of ALL the Star Wars games!!!!!! (besides REpublic Commando) You get to play as all of the Star Wrs characters at all of the imporant scenes of Ep. 1-3 (plus a bit of 4 if you fill up the yellow bar at the top of the screen in every mission) after you beat a mission you get to do Free-Play, where you can choose one of your (purchased)
characters and the computer randomly selects different people with different powers. You can replay the Darth Maul level and shove Jar Jar over the edge into nothingness!!! The only downside is that you can only do one attack, But that's made up for in the awesomness of this game. You can also get cheat codes offline that will get you: Invincibility, Moustaches, Brushes, Teacups, Purple Lightsabers, Silouhettes, and so on. You can buy all of these things but their expensiive. This game has great replay value!!!!! No level ever gets old! (except for some of Ep.1) YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!! But you could get it for cheaper at Game Crazy though.
