(2 and a half stars)This game is pretty lousy. I'm not really sure why I bought it, but I did. At first it may seem like a pretty cool game. The control is ok, it has a South Park feel, and the weapons are pretty creative. However, once the novelties wear off the game begins to get more and more boring. The levels become the same exact thing: run around, kill enemies, run around some more, kill even more enemies, level over. After a few sessions, you will not want to play this game any more. The multiplayer is not bad, but you'd be much better off with a game like Goldeneye 007. If you are an absolute South Park fanatic you will enjoy this game, but don't expect the enjoyment to last long. I reccomend skipping this game and picking up a game with a little replay value.

The idea of a first person Shoot-em-up based on the south park licence and Turok 2 engine must have seemed a good idea at the time but the road to gaming hell is paved with the blood of good ideas that have been messed up and, sadly, this is no exception. The whole game stinks of being a rush job and the programmers seem to have made presentation there priority over the gameplay. The graphics and sound are, admittidly, fantastic. It looks and sounds just like the TV show and for a while the stupid humour and colourful visuals distract you from the shallow gameplay. But it doesen't last. The levels are very repetitive and you find yourself getting bored quickly. Even worse, Acclaim have somehow made the already dodgy controls of Turok even worse and prescision movment/firing is all but impossible making a dull game very fustrating as well. The games multiplayer mode does give it some lasting appeal but is afflicted with the same terrible controls which does spoil it somewhat. Rent it, Laugh at the humour for a couple of hours and then take it back and praise god that you didn't spend your money on buying it.
Multi-player version is "sweeeet!"

The single-player version of this game gets monotonous after a while--there's only so many times you can throw snowballs at a bunch of crazed turkeys before it's just not that much fun any more.
BUT--as a party game, the multi-player version of this is great! Up to four people can play, depending on how many spare controllers you feel like shelling out money for. Then, select your favorite South Park character, and let the pummeling begin! Try and get the cow gun if you can, the cow never seems to miss landing bottom-first on its target. And the characters' reactions will keep you laughing for hours!
Like the TV show, this game is *not* recommended for children, but for adults who want to act like kids, it's a blast.
Buy it!

Although most people think the show is better than this game, I have to say differently. i used to watch the show a lot, but after a while i thought "o my god they killed kenny" was getting really lame. so i went out and spent 60 bcks on the game cause i heard it was real good. i agree. i was a huge fan of goldeneye and turok, and if you like those games, you'll love this one because its the same but funnier. the graphics are better than the construction paper 2d graphics on the show. i hav to admit that the single player mode kinda dissapointed me because you fight the same enemies all the time. when you play story mode (1 player) pick cartman, he's definetly the funniest. the multyplayer totally rocks. as you progress in single player, you get additional multiplayer characters such as mr. mackey, chef and big gay al, which is even better. after i bought the game i started watching the show again. my advice is go get this game!

I only gave this game 2 stars because if you're die-hard South Park fan, it's possible that you might enjoy this game... but I like South Park, and I HATED it. The controls are IMPOSSIBLE to use (you have to use the C buttons most of the time), the gameplay is repetitive and boring (all you do is walk around throwing snowballs at turkeys), and the multiplayer part is boring too. One pro is that the guns are pretty original & the South Park kids say some funny things, but the novelty wears off after a while. I bought this game when it first came out, for ..., and I sold it for $5 at a stoop sale... I just wanted to get rid of it, it's really that bad. If you really have to get it, at least rent it first.

This game was very poorly made...it's really boring, because all you do is walk around and throw stuff at things. All the enemies are exactly the same, there's never any health, and 100 health points aren't enough, because the health goes down too fast. The sight of range is ridiculous because half the screen is nothing but fog, and it all just draws in as you walk ahead, making it hard to see enemies. I do like seeing the familiar South Park characters in 3D, the game is very funny, and the weapons are hilarious! But still, I wouldn't buy it. Rent at most.

this game has the best non-gun multiplayer mode you can find. i dont know why its rated M when it should be K-A the bleep out all the bad words.other than that the multiplayer is fast paced and exciting with these histarical characters and perfect for a party.it loses points for having only around ten weapons or so and the story mode is okay for the first week. then it just gets old.so to rent or buy i would wai until it gets cheap and then buy it.

Only buy this is you are a hardcore south park fan, like video games a lot, or have a magnitude of friends to play this game with and the code BIRDBOY or something like that. That is the real purpose of the game (multiplayer mode). Otherwise this game would have tanked like the virtuaboy did.
Great show for an average game..just...average

This N64 title was exclusive for N64 at one point but that doesn't really matter. South Park 64 looked really promising at first and it truly was with it's shocking yet really great graphics some what game play. And I was looking forward to one of the things South Park is best at. Stupid Funny plot. It kina had one but ends up failing AND I LOVE SOUTH PARK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS OUT THERE. But for a game it's just..AVERAGE. Nothing new just run and gun but I liked the whole senario stories like the visitors and the Turkey episodes. Those were great. The game starts off really well as you battle your way through vicious Turkeys but once you beat the Turkey boss it just drags on with the same ol run n' gun and then fight the boss with nothing New. It's just the same ol' same ol.
Graphics are really good and one of the best on the N64. It really shows what the N64 can do. One of the best parts are the bosses cause there 3d animation is sooooo good. But that is just it...Graphics... Now lets get to the problem
Gameplay gets really boring after awhile. Really...It's just the same ol same ol but the game is great for Die Hard SouthPark Fans. I thought the game could have bin better but hey It wasn't But They still try to do a good job. But still...Gameplay is just a lil boring..
Sound is perfect...Trey Parker and Matt Stone do a great job as teh voices of those crazy boys. Sound is great ok!
Pros
Graphics
Sound
Voices
Cons
Gameplay is just way to boring and a bit tedious
Seems like playing the first Episode over again
The ending is sooo crappy I was really expecting something big and cool but just same lame ending...Then again it's just a game based on a show but seriously.
Over all I give it ....a
3.2 out of 5 stars
Get this game at your own risk but I recomend Chef's lUv shack...Much much betta and fun mini games.
