this game has its moments, but dont expect 007 gameplay

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 15 / 16

This game was released after the mega-hit, Golden Eye 007. It fails to meet the standards that 007 set. The second level is fun, but the rest of the game feels like it belongs on the SNES. The graphics are good, and the sounds ok, but the makers of MI were trying too hard to make the game realistic, and they forgot that it is a game. If Rare was involved it would have been an instant classic. My advice; either go for GoldenEye or wait for Perfect Dark, they both put this game to shame.

This mission really is impossible

Wow, when I bought this game I thought it would be cool to be a secret agent in a video game. Boy was I wrong on this one. First of all, this game really is impossible. I luckily got to the second mission but I didn't get any further than that. And now this game is collecting dust on the shelf. This one is only for truly diehard fans of the series. And good luck!

Blast into the Spy Game of the Future

This game is great for people that love playing as a spy with high tech gadgetry. It is really good. Some of the levels are quite hard, but there worth playing. Play though twenty impossible missions as a real spy unlike James Bond where you just walk around and blow everybody away. Some of these levels are awsome. I especially like the Station, the Trian Car, and the Trian Rooftop. The game has a few glitchs, but the rest is just great. DEFINITALY BUY THIS GAME.

Patience is a Virtue

If your looking for a Goldeneye clone, than this game is not for you. The graphics and sound effects are sub par, but the gameplay and missions are quite clever. I was slightly let down when I first started playing, but with a bit of patience and a few levels in, it started to grab me. I think the biggest mistake of the game is trying too hard to follow the plot of the movie rather than creating interesting levels.

There are two game selections; Possible and Impossible aka Easy and Hard. I found the Possible to be too easy and completed the game in about a day.

With no multiplayer functions, MI quickly loses it's interest and lifespan.

The little dialouge quips of Mr Hunt are quite funny, and he even provides some comic relief throughout the game.

I recommend you try before you buy...

P.S. The finish off the game/credit sequence is quite clever allowing Mr Hunt too intereact with the creators of the game.

Most Challenging Game; not for kiddies

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 6 / 6

This game is tough and unforgiving but well worth the challenge if you are up to it.

Unlike Goldeneye, you won't be able to take multiple gunshots to the chest and keep walking, you'll be dead.

MI at times is so realistic at times it is scary, yes, tedious at times. Don't expect to blast your way out of trouble much.

Because of the required skill, the reviews of the game and its popularity have suffered.

Perhaps this game separates the real gamers from the ones from the wannabees.

still playing it

I am still playing this game after 6 months. I've gotten through the possible level and to the train on the impossible level. I don't think you have to be a diehard MI fan to play this. I find the most difficult section is trying to get to the computer hanging on the wire, mainly because of trying to dodge the lasers without losing too much life. As for the graphics, the only strange part is that some of the baddies come partway through a closed door, but that just clues you in to them being there and you can get ready to blast them to oatmeal. GOOD GAME!

Fun but Hard

unbelievable.....this game i thought would be one of the greatest games that i would encounter...so i immaediately bought the game...i was so ashamed of the game i returned it within four days...the graphics are terrible and made me not even want to look at the game... i figured that i had better get rid of this game before one of my friends see it, play it and laugh at me...i was satisfied to get 25 dollars for this fifty or sixty dollar game...it was so boring...i don't even remember if it had sound effects...the story just makes me sigh and shake my head in pity...the nerve someone had to make such a mockery of a game...its bringing back bad memories to even think of the game....DEFINITELY RENT BEFORE PURCHASING.

Its a good game, but it really could have been better.

The graphics and audio in this game really leave more to be desired, but the overall gameplay is loads of fun. Mission objectives and dificuly are good although you won't find yourself in a lot of full-blown shoot outs. Nevertheless, it is a good game and I definitely would reccomend it.

Worst N64 Game Ever

... In more ways then one, it trys to match the style and fun of Goldeneye, but fails miserably. Considering this game was made after Goldeneye, you would think it would at least have quality graphics, but no. Gameplay and control is horrible and frustrating, where it offers only one controller set up and one camera angle where you are stuck behind the character. The missions are vrey booring too. This game is very hard even on the "possible" setting and has glitches where you loose the missions at the end after doing everything your supposed to.
Do yourself a favor and never play this horrible game.
