How about an expansion pack

Despite being an old game, this game is soo good that I wish someone would make an expansion pack for it (instead they came out with commando 3 which bombed).
This game takes time to learn, but its not too bad and once you get the hang of it, its the most fun ever! I liked its gameplay over other RTS games like Panzer and company of heroes, as it is more personal and enjoyable. There is an element of stealth needed rather than just fire power that some of the new RTS focus on. Overall I would encourage anyone who hasnt tried it to give it a shot, at current prices its a steal!

i really enjoyed this game. it was hard to start but once you get into it, it is very fun. the graphics are also awesome in this game. overall its a very good game.

I had played the original Commandos and wanted to play this one too. I must say that this game is real fun. It is a little hard but if you like challenges and you are a hardcore gamer, you will master the techniques quickly. Can't remain a n00b for a long time with this. You need to understand which commando is suited best for which action, although there are a lot of specialist activities which only one of them can perform.

The main upgrade or improvement I would think is that you can see inside closed doors, peep through key-holes, change the angles of viewing (this may have been there in the previous version too, can't remember). Wonderful gameplay, wonderful music, good graphics and very good missions.

Overall a very good game. :)

An incredibly well-crafted game. Be forewarned though...this game is not for beginners. I was warned before I got it, but I was enticed by the challenge. If you're up to it, you'll be well rewarded. You'll know you'll get a big bang out of this game if you can finesse your way through the 2 difficult tutorial missions.

There are many things to accomplish in each mission. This is not a game to rush through. Many missions require that you find the weakest link in a chain of tough defenses. I've completed 3 missions so far, but by taking my time and studying my maneuvers, I already got 2 bonus secret missions out of it - JACKPOT!

My only disappointment, if you can call it that: You can't easily adjust the game to make it even harder without going through the previous missions again at the harder level. Small detail for such a magnificent work. Put all your other trivial games away and make room for this one - a REAL man's game.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage is a really fun and challenging game. I emphasize the word challenging. By the third level, I was spending hours trying to figure out how to beat it. I finally had to result to a guide to show me how to beat the level. Once I did, the next was even more hard. I gave it a try, but decided it was too hard. If you like really challenging games, and are willing to sit for hours to beat one level, then this game's for you.

If you haven't spent precious hours of your life playing Commandos 1, you can't fully appreciate this game. My only disappointment is that the authors should have spent more time in making the missions a little bit more difficult. If you played the first Commandos you will find that your team is much more capable of winning and by consequence missions are much easier. The use of the rifle is a big gift given to players. In my opinion you shoot too much instead of looking for more "strategic" and silent way to beat the enemies.
We give credits to the authors for the beautiful settings and the atmosphere of the game.

I was used to play shoot-em-up games only, now I've changed my mind a bit. Funny and realistic. N°1 is the green beret, N°2 is the sniper.
Just one thing: the saving and loading operations are too long...

The best strategy game of this year!!

If you know the previous versions of Commandos, you know that these games are fun and difficult. Also this game has these qualities, but now, also the graphics are beautiful.
The aim of the missions is about the same as in the previous commandos games: completing objectives and killing as much Germans as you can. This is fun!
All the missions are difficult, but you have more possibilities now: your men can exchange items and all your men can swim and drive cars to give a few of the many examples. This makes the game more realistic than its predecessors.
If you liked the previous games I would highly recommend this one. I can tell you it results in hours of fun!!

Hard Yet Fun

If you buy/rent this game and try the first mission you will think it is quite difficult. Commanods 2 is an action game but has a special quality to it. It requires gamers to use their brains. Yes that organ in your head that is mostly inactive with most action games. If you are having trouble (like I used to with this game) take this advice.
1. Think for any logical way to accomplish a task without being seen or heard.
2. Don't think of a logical way to accomplish a task and shoot every enemy around. (Not a good idea on certain missions)
3. Don't think your in Half Life or Rouge Spear and can do someting totaly moronic like running out and... well... getting yourself killed.
Remember this game is hard but can be really fun if you know what you're doing.
