This game is undoubtedly a great sequel to the first Commandos. It has a great learning curve, and the AI is pretty good. There are many different ways to beat the levels, and each one brings new challenges. The levels in the game are incredible, and the missions aren't totally unbelieveable. It's possible that an Underground group could have carried them out.

The training missions make sure that you get to know the basic controls and actions with the game before you get into the larger missions. The operatives you're given to carry out your mission each have their own specific properties that they add to the mission, and every one of them is vital to your completing the mission.
All in all, Eidos has made another great game. I can't wait for a third Commandos, though I don't know what the setting for it would be!

Did you like the old Lee Marvin flick The Dirty Dozen? How would you like to BE IN THE DIRTY DOZEN? Sweating it out hiding in a dark corner of a shipyard trying to figure out how to distract the Nazi guard long enough to get on board a ship -- maybe if you left a pack of cigarettes at the other end of the alley he'd leave his post long enough for you to get in. Maybe next you'll have to throw a knife into a Japanese soldier's back before he hits the alarm. Use a sniper rifle to pick off guards so you can reach your target. Blow up bridges, steal intelligence, commando-crawl across telephone wires and sneak up on unsuspecting soldiers dressed as the enemy to accomplish your goals.

We're talking about gut-wrenching, dear Lord I hope they don't catch us tension, your mind working like a rat in a maze trying to accomplish the goals set out in about a dozen mission scenarios, each completely open-ended. Kill or incapacitate. Be sneaky or make some noise. It's all up to you, but everyone's got to come back alive. You've got a number of characters, including a sniper, a dog (!), a thief with a pet rat, a femme fatale, and others. The equipment? Tripwires, bear-traps, sleeping pills, the usual assortment of arms, and more. The squad-based tactics in the Commandos series is only improved by this latest iteration, and are like nothing else anywhere in computer games.

I knock a star off for a bit of instability in the game -- some crashes, but if you're smart you save often anyway. If you like WWII and/or tactical strategy games ala Rainbow Six, this is truly your cup of tea.

Good game, but very difficult in the beggining.

I bought this game after reading great reviews online and in magazines. But after playing and failing at the first two training levels that you have to beat in order to start a game, I put the game away in frustration. I bought this game for 40.00 dollars and i only got to play 1/16 of it.

Commandos 2 is a great WW2 combat/stratagy game where you can control up to 5 out of 9 playable characters, a sniper, Green Beret, demolitions expert, spy, diver, driver, seductress, dog, and many others. If you like stupid games this isn't for you. I'm a devoted gamer and the Target: Burma mission took me 8 hours. This game is all strategy. The graphics are amazing. A definite MUST BUY,especially for the holidays.

Yes, the graphics and the music are great, but what about the game play? Aside from the fact that the controls are not easy to learn, this game features an absolutely ridiculous line of site and AI. Even the graphics do not satisfy when you consider that only 4 camera angles and only 1 camera height is available. This game is a waste of time. If you want to see great visual effects, go to the movies or buy the new Medal Of Honor. If you want a real strategy game with amazing realism and inexhaustibly fun game play, get Combat Mission.

Yep, like every one else - I loved the game and i haven't even played it yet. Simply amazing. each night i close my eyes and imagine the little computer figures caring out secret missions. I truly love playing this game and hope that you will all be able to afford this game.

Commandos 2 men of courage is a great game because it takes you a lot of time to beat this game. But when you get the hang of it, it becomes easier and then you can beat the game with no problem. If you beat normal mode you should try hard mode and than you can get better at that game. In very hard mode is a difficult level to pass but if you try harder you might beat that level. When I was playing in the beginning of the game it gets pretty bored cause it gets harder. When I was in this level that was soo hard. So one day I went to play and was passing the levels until I got stuck In a level. It was easy but then in the map it didn't show to close. So then I went to that level and then beat the game. Than I tried hard level and very hard level. It was difficult but I did it. I mostly like this types of games that are hard to pass but some day you got to pass it and believe me it would be so cool!!!!!!!!!!
