Nice game but has some frustrating points.

Ok first off I think the first Capitalism title had a much better AI. In this title my computer opponents seem to flounder. Their stock price remains in the 10$ range while mine skyrockets to the 3000$ range. I leave plenty of options open to the computer but it does not take advantage of them.

Fire disastors are a pain in the neck. You will be informed that one of your buildings has been gutted by fire and will tell you what city. There seems to be no way to tell what you had going on in that building or even where in the city the building was. You are forced to check the entire map for a paved over spot and then guess what you used to do there.

Research is also annoying. If you hire someone to oversee your research they will often change what you are researching after it has finished its' alloted time. This would not be all bad except it changes what you get informed when the research is complete. For instance, say I am researching Cakes for 5 years and my scientist decides when it is done I will research Car. When the research is done I will get a message that, " Your research in Car is complete." It should be telling me that my Cake research is done.

Research also does not always work for me. Sometimes when the research has completed its' alloted time I will see no improvement whatsoever.

There is also an extreme lack of scenarios. Only 5 I believe. Global Domination is not one of them either.

The graphics were not all that great but that is not what I focus on the most in a strategy game.

I give the game 3 stars. The local competitors do make the game slightly challenging and I can overcome some other problems by painstakingly writing down on a pad of paper.

I have played the game since the first version of Capitalism.
And I continue playing the sequel (Capitalism Plus) which is
better than previous version.
This third version's told to have many improvements in AI,
features, complexity, and of course the graphic quality which
I think is the only weakness of this remarkable game.
(I haven't played Capitalism 2 yet, but according to the quality
of the 2 previous versions, I am convinced that this sequel
would be much better than the previous ones).

Capitalism is so real, you can even feel that you are really
a tycoon of a business empire.

* But beware : you will have many sleepless nights!

Thanks to Trevor Chan and UbiSoft for delivering such great game.
I'll give 7 STARS for the game if allowed.

For those of you that like tycoon games for the business side of the game, this games for you! Cap and Capplus had some problems and awful graphics, but were still very fun to play because of the financial engine. With 6 yeas past since the release of Capplus, capitalism 2 should be great! A must have for all "tycoon" fans

Move over Sim City!!!!!!!!

I got the oppurtuinity fof playing this game before it came out it is sooooooooo cool!!!!!! So much better than Sim City!!!! Graphics are cool!

As a fan of the original capitalism, I enjoy the greater scope of the sequel. I've played the game on a limited basis, but I've noticed more of the options.

Don't let a cheap price and plain package fool you. This game is one of my favorite games, beating out some of those $50 games that I have. I wasn't thinking much of it only paying $10 for it (about 4yrs ago), but it was just what I was looking for. That is a game that takes skill and thinking to master, is easy to learn, but also has a lot of depth to it. I could go on, but why, just get the game!

This is a very strong game, but the only problem is that it is only for certain people. This game is for people who like business games or money games. Also many empire building people would like this game. The game has strong graphics and easy to understand menus.

The only problem with the game is that many of the cities look the same and there is really no difference between the products you sale and make or the products the other people make.

Really this is a very good game and an over looked game by many. The main problem that seemed to happen to me is that if you set the game to easy or if you don't venture out into new fields the game gets old. Beside that though a great game for people who love business games.

I am not a game pro just an average player of games. I found that I get bored quick, but so far this game has kept my attention. The game has a tutorial which is great, but on the other hand I haven't found a way to not play without the tutorial for the entrepreneur's campaign. The music get very annoying quickly that I had to turn it off to play. The graphic reminds me of sim type games, and is very challenging. I do enjoy the custom game the best over the campaigns. When I get better I will play the campaigns. The book that comes with the game is great. It has all you need in it. I try to play without the book at first, but found out that I had to read the whole book to understand the game better. All in all the game is fun. My husband and I fight over who going to get on the computer to play it, and for how long. If my husband who is only interested in fighting, and sports game enjoy this game then I am sure you will.

Capatilism 2 allows you do do a lot of the stuff. It's competion can be extreamly high. Unlike most sim games, you get to do research and it acsually makes you fell as if it were real. I'd buy this game even if it were $100!

Boy am I dissapointed in this game. The manual is very poor, and the game is pretty complicated and FAR from intuitive. The graphics are nice, but who cares? I've tried three times to get into it, but it just plain [is bad]. Spend your money elsewhere. My version will make a better coaster than a game. Don't buy into the hype of the other reviews like I did.
