A lot of people will think that this game is just like the continuation of Need For Speed Underground 2. Well, it is somewhat true. However, this is just a "beating a rival" game so it is a pretty straight foward game. I personally think that it is not bad, but it could be a little bit dull. Well, if you have beaten the game of NFSU2 in PS2, you don't have problem playing this one. For the graphics, it is not bad but couldn't compare the graphics of NFSU2 in PS2 and Ridge Racer in PS2 and PSP. These game has some upper hand of those. But still, this is still a good game to recommend.
Great Game!

This game is really fun. It keeps you busy for a very long time while you try to beat the races (there are three trophies per race) and try to unlock all of the cars. I highly reccomend you buy this game it is really fun.

fity bucks for a ps2 game? i have a ds whick came with a FREE mario 64 ds which is like the n64 one but twice as long with different caracters batter graphics and only costs 30$!!!! over all, psp has the bells and whistles, but upon closer inspection, they are all expensive and the games are sub-par to the ds or even the ps2 and gamecube. don't waste you money, pass by the psp and go for the ds and better games.

I bought this game with my PSP because it was heavily discounted, and have mixed - mainly positive things to say about it. Firstly, to those who say the cars are too hard to control, blah blah blah I'm a novice at racers and had little problem controlling the stick (I got the hang after 15 minutes or so). It really depends on the cars, some are twitchy.
Other than that, this is a usual NFU underground game. Good range of tracks, good music.etc.etc. One criticism is no time trial mode - one of the most fun bits of a racing game is trying to beat your time/ghost. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to use the Wi-Fi.
Graphics are good for PSP - I'm still getting used to playing a 3D game on a handheld...but overall, I don't know if I should have got Ridge Racer cos I've already bought it so it doesn't matter. The next game I'm getting will be Lumines...supposedly very addictive. Anyway, get this if you like games where you can customise your car or like a street racer. This or Midnight Club 3 DUB version.
Not as good as Burnout but strong second

Burnout beats the rest of the deep field of racing games, but if you are a huge NFSU fan, this is a nice transition to the portable. I don't own a console version of this but I have played it at friends house. There is pretty much same customization (a few less colors for paint.) The game itself is stripped down from NFSU 2, but there is no extra driving around. Good graphics but again inferior to Burnout Legends on PSP. Overall a good game but I recommed Burnout.
