this game was by far the best out of the series by far it was super fun and so detailed to even scrathes on the board the more you rode it and you even got bloodier as you crashed over and over again, i once even played foR an hour just to see how bloody i could get!I would definetly recomend this game to anyone who liked the other games in the series or even if you didnt like the others this one is definetly worth a shot!i loved this game and couldnt stop playing it until my mom had to get out a crowbar and ply the controller out of my hands so i could go to school!...

For those who say that this series is getting old, please keep in mind that THPS4 on the Xbox is LIVE compatable, allowing you to compete with others all over the world! this is defenitely a new twist on the THPS series, and on all games.

If you buy this game don't make any plans this weekend because I gurantee you'll be playing it for days. I just bought it and I must say that I am really impressed with how challenging the levels are which makes the game all the more fun. The graphics are great and the soundtrack is awesome. If you are a skater (or former skater like me) or if you are into really fun and challenging games then this will not disappoint.

Tony Hawk 4 is a great game but c'mon honestly the series is old. It still brings all the fun of bustin huge air with ultra-realistic graphics. The new free roam environment is great and the levels are getting great. This is the best skateing game and is fun but i was dissapointed by the multiplayer and lack of online for x-box. All in all the game is great and seems to be ageing well. If you like this genre then buy this not the copy-cats out there. Also Ollie the bum has the funniest phrases in the world and his voice is great!! good game so if you want buy it.

This game is the funniest game ever if you havent bought it yet by it NOW!!!!!You can olley over a hobo and he makes these moning noises.You can be a kid,or be in matrix mode where you flote in the air.The best part is if you earn 15,000 dollars you can by a level.They are a white trash carnival and Chicago from Matt hoffman 2.If you like ladies or are a womam with a sense of humor you can unlock a woman.Or you can unlock a starwars guy or a zombie.But dont worry parents this game is allright for youir kids.It has one cussword out of the whole soundtrack.

Alot better format than last years.

You have to be able to manual though, it begins to seem like every other goal you have to manual so start practicing.

People are saying that this line of games is ending its streak at the top, I have to disagree.

Also seen it on playstation2 and it [stinks] compared to the xbox, they really pumped the graphics up for us xbox users.

Pros:
- The levels are much bigger, brighter with alot of added (and much needed) detail (the 1:1 scale Alcatraz level is graphically stunning to say the least).
- Skating/Combo lines are plentiful to keep the tricks coming.
- Objectives are fun and fresh, progressive, not all at once.
- No stage time limit
- MANY UNLOCKABLES & MINI-GAMES!

Cons:
- Stupid hard! (this game is definately not aimed for beginners or newbies to the THPS series.)
- All the objectives are timed (this is not totally a con, but the time limits are VERY restraining for some objectives)
- If you've played them before, there's not too much new to see other than a couple of added tricks, levels, and movies.

Okay, I will do this quickly so you don't have to be reading this for a long time. It's graphics rule!The modes rule! The gameplay rules! But most important, it totally beats Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
