This game is one of the best games to be released ever! You start off in the game when you are sent to prison for murdering you're family. When you're in prison all hell breakes loose. You see a shadow behind the inmate infront of you and not scared you watch him die. Then you start to play the game. Everyone's dieng left and right infront of you. When you get to a cop who teams up with you go into the bathroom he was in and open the door. You're insanity will turn up and you're skin will slightly tear. Then kill the cop and you will see a bathtub with blood in it. after that go down stairs into the control room. Turn on the electricity and look in to the secerity camras. You will see someone behind you. Then kill one beast and you will tansform into a moster. It's not just a cowincidence that you're in prison there's a reson you're in there. The monsters will stop at nothing intill you turn into the monser PERMENITLY. This game is going to come out March 8.

Its about time somebody updated the horror genre. This game delivers a creepy, action pack experience not seen in traditional horror games like Silent Hill 2 or Res Evil. If you want puzzles you will not like this game. Its all about immersion, feeling like you are in this horrific environment. The world is very interactive unlike other survival horror games. You can use or destroy almost everything in the environment.

This game is much more like Half Life or Max PAyne than Silent Hill.

The graphics are good, but the shooting is awesome. And wait until you see Rage Mode, its incredible!
Overall, this gets my vote as one of the best games of the year!

Awesome Game

This game is going to rock. I am so sick of the slow gameplay of Res Evil and Silent Hill series. Not that I dont think they are great franchises but its about time somebody updated the genre.

The main character looks like a serious tough dude. And I like the fact that he isnt your typical white lead character. Being ethnic in origin its nice to be able to identify with a player character that isn't just your run of the mill action hero type.

The combat looks cool and intense.

I look forward to buying this game the second it comes out.

One Word: WHOA!!! This game is scary. I just got this game when it came out and have been playing it ever since. The graphics are great, the sound is very real, and it gives me the creeps when I play.

The story is completely original and really gets your nerves going. Do not play this game at night. You will have nightmares.

Be Very Afraid

Wow!! I knew this game was going to be scary. But this game gives me the chills every time I play it. It's amazing!

Right from the start of the game you know this game is going to be crazy. I only play this game at night, so maybe I'm crazy. The game has such a realistic feel to it. The control is very similar to Halo when it comes to moving and looking around. Both control sticks are used - one for movement and the other for looking around.

The graphics are really cool. Everything looks very realistic. But the best part about this game is the sound. I think the sound is the most gripping part of the game. The sound and the visuals are very gripping. Just picture one of those really scary movies that had your heart pounding every time you heard a little sound. There's nothing like a good scare. Especially when it comes from a videogame.

This game is also very gory with lots of blood - just the way I like it. For the best gaming experience, I recommend playing this game at night, in the dark. It will scare the Hell Out Of You!!

Runaway Bus Part

Well it's been months since I typed my last review and I'm still stumped on this part. What's so frusrating is that I'm so close to the end and I'm stuck on an easy part like this. The guide book says to walk right up to the gap in the road and I approach the gap as close as I can and nothing happens. I've tried shooting the truck, jumping across, etc. The infernas keep killing me after a while becuase they keep coming and I run out of ammunition. Either I'm an idiot for doing something wrong, or is my game messed up ? People keep talking about the boss at the end being somewhat tough. I wish I could make it to that part and finish it off but for some reason I can't beat this part. Somebody please help me out. I'm usually not stumped at videogames but man I'm stumped here. As for the game itself, it's pretty good, the graphics are great, the images, the controls take a little bit getting used to but you get the hand of it. It is not a game for people who don't like bad language or scary images but if you want a horror game, try this one out. I just wish they wouldn't make things so hard to figure what to do or where to go. I would rather be stuck at a tough boss then this. At least then you know what to do.

Perfect Balance

First of all, to help our friend out who got stuck at the chasm, you have to kill all the infernas PLUS shoot their ash piles when they collapse. Otherwise, they keep regenerating, and you'll just die. Once you kill them all and destroy their ashes, walk to the edge and the bus will come barreling down the street, so get out of the way! This game is genuinely terrifying. My pulse raced on a regular basis as I was playing it. Disturbing images throughout as well. And the boss at the end is spectacular. I found the ending to be anti-climactic, but it doesn't detract from the game very much. By the time you get to the boss, you've seen it all anyway, so what else do you expect, right? I found it to be a perfect balance of story, gameplay, and puzzle solving. The profanity was very excessive, however, and that's why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I know it's prison, but come on, game designers. Kids are playing these games whether the Mature rating is on there or not. We all know what cursing sounds like, and I really don't need to hear the "f" word and the "c" word over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (I'm not exaggerating here, dear reader. The profanity is a constant stream throughout the game. It never lets up. I found it extremely juvenile of the designers to include so much of it. It reminds me of a bunch of junior high boys who have just started getting bold enough to cuss around their friends.) If you can tolerate the language, this is a truly terrifying experience.

One of my Favorites

The game itself hasn't gotten the positive reviews it's deserved over the years.. It absolutely ROCKS! You are Torque, a man convicted for slaughtering his wife and children where, in prison, he discovers that things aren't quite what they appeared to be. The controls (XBOX) are a bit tricky getting fluent with at first, but, when they become your second gaming nature (which doesn't take too long), watch out... hours of creepy fun. And, one of the best qualities that The Suffering offers is that you can choose to be good or evil with your gameplay, what you choose will effect the conclusion, and, the side you chose to be on in The Suffering part 1 can be automatically read and transfered over into the Suffering part 2- Ties That Bind (being if you kept the saved data from The Suffering part 1 in your counsel). This is a staple for Horror/Survival genre gamers and a good ol' scary time for everyone. Now, buy the game, load it up, turn the lights off and prepare for something your won't forget anytime soon.
