This game is sweet. It has over 125 cars from the 60's to the present. It even has awsome cars like the new Ford GT40 and the super exotic GT90. I have seen several movies of this game and it shows realistic lighting and highly detailed cars. The best part of the game is the GT mode where you buy a car and race to win money so you can upgrade your ride or buy a new ride. All I have to say is watch out Gran Turismo 3!

What can you say about this game? The first few hours I played this game I didn't really love it. The cars in quick battle tend to understeer and the racetracks are not as beautiful as seen in Grantourismo 3 on PS2 (Seattle Circuit...). But when you're playing Sega GT2002 mode...this game is highly addictive. The first car you can buy is a Fiat, go to your first races start tuning and saving for new cars. Here the pros and cons:

+nice looking cars
+fine sound
+motivating career mode
+nice enemy AI
+pay for your mistakes
+good (tuned) car handling
+2d animated spectators
+blurring air at higher speeds
+tune your car and let your opponents breathe dust
-I'd like more tuning options
-I've seen better trees and landscapes
-I'd like more tracks
-drag races vs cpu in split screen only
-stupid replay studio
-no rain, fog...
-only one type of sport tires
-no calibration for analog controller/racing wheels

That's a lot of "-", but this one is well worth your purchase and comes with my unqualified recommendation.

If you liked Tokyo EXtreme Racer:Zero and Project Gotham Racing than you'll love this game. With over 120 cars and over 200 car parts to choose from what else would you want? Choosing cars from the 60's up to the near future will never limit you from your posibilities.

... i took some time, and gave Sega GT 2002 another try, and all right guess what? I LIKE IT!!!!!
I like it a lot!!! it has good controls, and very nice crisp graphics. That along with the addition of a custom soundtrack that the player provides. hey whats not to like?? The license tests ala Gran Turismo are very challenging, but so far have not hindered my enjoyment of the game. I have to say that this is a good game, and well worth the purchase price. XBOX hits a home run with this one!!!!! i am a true XBOX convert.

I know many of you are familiar with the Gran Turismo series on PSX and PS2, especially the great GT3 on PS2. Sega GT 2002 is Sega's XBOX version of that game, but it is better than GT3. Unlike GT3, you can't just pick up the controller and expect to win all the time (I found myself winning race after race on Gran Turismo 3 without ever losing the first time I ever played it!), but instead you will be challenged at first and the controls are hard to master. But after a while you get more and more used to the controls and you get better as you play more often. My favorite part of the game is what the main focus of Sega was on. You are given $10,000 to start with and are given a large variety of cars to choose form to buy. After you buy a car you are able to enter races. For every place taken during the race there is a prize given, anywhere form $50 for 6th place up to a great prize of $4,000 for 1st place. But, you better be careful! You are charged money for damage done on your car. But the cool thing is, if your car had no damage during any one race you are given a nice bonus amount of money along with your regular prize for your place in the race. As you get really far into the game there are some races that you can win great cars such as Dodge Viper's. You can use all the money you have saves up to get new parts for your car, make repairs to your car or buy great new or used cars from the car shop. You can get many excellent cars including Toyota Supras and Toyota Celica's and many, many more. If you are looking for a racing title for your XBOX, look no further, Sega GT 2002 is the ultimate racing game!

This game is cool if u dont like it because it is 2 hard just play it some more and u will like it the graphics on zee cars are amazing u can use old race cars and new cars all kind of cars old and new and u can upgrade the cars i think is da best feature of this game to be able to upgrade your cars and it is realistic it is a great game da only thing bad about it is that it is not xbox live compatible but they are bringing sega gt online out that should fix that problem

This game is one of the best games. It is fun and it has one of the best varieties in history. It is a wonderfull game.

The gameplay is excellent. The different tracks and cars available make this a 'BUYER', not a 'RENTER'. You start out with a set amount of cash to get a car, and some add-ons, then you have to race your way up to earn more $. Good concept. My only true knock at the game is the graphics. Project Gotham has better graphics. MotoGP has some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a game. Why couldn't SegaGT's graphics be a bit better??? Overall, graphics don't make the entire gaming experience, but they do add to the realism and 'suspension of disbelief' that all games strive to achieve.

I'd still give this one a 5 out of 5.

This game is th bast racing game i have ever played on XBOX. of it doesnt top gran turismo but what does. this game is just like it. you can buy and tune your cars and drag race too. when you drag race you can uy nitrous oxide to put in your car. there is also random wear and tear on ur vehicle like the engine wears down and u have to fix it. best game on XBOX.
