Great game but the fun doesn't last long

First off I would like to say that this is an execellent game with great graphics, funny dialouge, and a great new innovate look on ammo and first-person shooter and third-person action. The graphics look execellent especially in the cutscenes and the backrounds are very well made. The comebacks and the live ammo will have you pausing the game sometimes because you are laughing to hard to continue( just like all the other Oddworld games). The ammo system is nothing less than genius the people at Oddworld Inhabitants really struck gold with this idea. The first-person shooting aspects were good but not anything like your Halo 2's or Doom 3's but it is still fun nonetheless the third person action was alright it was nothing special. The thing that really pulled me in was the storyline I couldn't help but want to know what happened to Stranger. There is a big twist in the end. It is a good game but it is to short I beat in about 8-9 hours catching the bosses alive so it is more of a rental game than a good buy.

Graphics- Great cutscenes, nice backgrounds, and good lighting

Audio and Dialouge- funny as hell comebacks, Stranger has a couple good lines, and good voice acting by the live ammo

Storyline- Great story that pulls you in

Gameplay- great controls and easy swith between 1st and 3rd person

Lenght and Replay- 8-9 hours definitely a rental, not much replay

Overall-8.5 out of 10

The game is awesome! What else do you need? Talking ammo, bounty hunters,a great secret, and one of the coolest characters ever to hit the video game industry. It's a free roaming world which is really cool and very funny humor. You can talk to anyone and kill everyone which is awesome. You get to fight a lot of cool bosses and overall the game is incredible.

Coming out from the series from all odds the game reaches and goes over all my expectations, the history is well done, excellent mix with the kick but graphics. It's the kind of games that once you start is hard to stop plying. The AMMO is a innovation, making and giving the game his own personality. Not willing to accept the game at the beginning due the fact I'm not a big fan of the shooters, the good reviews save to make a mistake and leave the game out my collection, this facts came to create a instant classic.

Pros.
1.Great graphics.
2.Live ammo Kicks but
3.Speed and awareness required in some stages of the game awesome.
4.Fun looking but not a toddler's game.
5.Makes me feel the desire to play previous odd games again.

Cons.
1.First missions really simply and slow.
2.Is far from the traditional line of previous games of the odd series.
3.The screen control can be really hard to get in the desired angle.
4.The speech is repetitive in all the character making the interaction with the and the main character incredibly boring.

Ive always liked the oddworld series. I started with Abes Oddesey on the ps1 and was hooked--

It is without a doubt that the demise of this company had something to do with not ever making it available to the fans of the first two games on PS2. I touted them to everyone I knew, and was rebuffed when the XBox only deal was cut; 'that technologically this could only be developed on the XBox platform (right after Microsoft bought in). Thanks for being an early adopter, but PS2 is a deadend.' Could it be that sales not being as huge affected the confidence? Beautiful game, but exclusivity has its price, especially when you thumb your nose at the fans who helped you to get your genius recognized in the first place. It would be nice to see all of these games released one day on PS3 as a package, but it is doubtful. The Redmond chokehold on Lorne that makes his eyes bug out like Abe's so it is not likely to be released any time soon. We can only hope the movie business is kinder to old Abe and more people will be able to enter this incredible creation of Oddworld through that portal. Let's hope so, because Hollywood can tear you apart faster than the graveyard shift at Rupture farms.

Hey,
I have a PS2 and I wish this game would come out on PS2 but they said it would take to long. If any one else knows how I fell send a review and put on the subject I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL so maybe someone impotant will see this and maybe make it on PS2.

The game is awsom!He has a diffrent kind of live ammo.More like woodland creachers!But in the game somwere,you get a BIG surprise at the end.

ME i have xbox and PS2 but this game would be the best if it hit PS2.Most sells its a 100% chance I hope some one responds to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! another mad gamer!
