Good game.... but could have been ELCELENT

I recently bought this game after buying Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit a couple of years ago. NFS3 was a GREAT game!!! The graphics might not have been the best but it had great replays (you could choose what camera you wanted to use, or let the computer select views), and the Hot Pursuit Mode blew me away... is was sooo fun, especially being the cop. However this game was a pretty good game, but it didn't live up to what I thought it would be.
First I'll point out the good points of this game. This game has EXCELLENT graphics, cars, and tracks. There are two regular single player modes... Championship (w/ out cops), and Hot Pursuit (w/ cops). Hot Pursuit in this game is pretty good... the best part of being chased by cops is when you are doing so good they call in "Air Support," and suddenly a helicopter begins dropping EXPLOSIVE BARRELS in front of you. If you are just playing around it is really fun to purposely run into them. But my other favorite part of this game are the 360 Slow Motion cameras that circle your car in slow motion, or pan across as you fly by in slow motion when ever you catch air, hit an explosive barrel, or run through a road block.
This game did have some bad and VERY annoying parts to it though. The first thing that I noticed is that this game has HORRIBLE replays, they are just exactly what you saw, except you can change the speed. That means that besides the Slow Motion cameras, and looking behind your car, you never see the front of your car. Also even more annoying is when you have to be the cop (in NFS3 being the cop was really fun, you would have to strategically stop the other car by cutting it of, running it into a tree, etc...), you just ram the car as hard as you can. Now that may be more simple, but unless you hit him hard, it doesn't do ANYTHING. So you go as fast as you can, and try and hit him. The annoying part is when you pass him, slow down, look behind you, suddenly he speeds past you (acceleration much faster they you can), and you have to catch him again.

Thi game is a great game.I reccomend this game to any who likes racing.There is basically everything good about this game.The racing, the tracks, and especially the cars.It' kind of hard when you first get it, but it gets better as you play it more.This an awesome and if you like racing games, definately get this one.

cop chases, nice cars, sound good already

i only had this game for three days and from what a played let me tell you it's good. fast ferraris, mclarens and much more then i want to write. want some fun, get the game and be on the run........

I have read all the negative reviews on this game and I cant belive it with the exception of cars driving on the wrong side of the roade this game is excellent a must buy.

If you are looking for an Action packed racing game this the one! This game has real cars not made up ones and the cops are smart and they have spike strips and so on this game is great. But after a while you can easily beat the cops but more levels you go through the better the with the better car you find better cops.

Fast and Furious

This is a great game on the Xbox and will keep you coming back for more. The tracks and graphics are fantastic along with the lighting. The cops are very, very difficult to outrun and even outsmart. About the only downside to this game is the the replay mode which basically just plays your race back from the same perspective that you raced it in (i.e. trail car, cockpit etc). I guess I was hoping for more of a Project Gotham Racing replay feature where it gives you different perspectives through out the race.

Cool game definitely for people who have played NFS anytime back. The one for XBOX is definitely better with great graphics and lighting though not that real life. Amazing selection of cars to race with insane speeds. The one I liked was the McLauren F1 Crazy is the word to describe this car. I like the way that you have to earn points to unlock the tracks as well as the cars. Well these are the good points about this game.

Now the downfalls or places where it could be improved. Graphics and lighting, Make it more lifelike. Chip off the places where when you go in to a bridge wall you can see the front portion of the car appear for a moment. Dirt tracks could be more life like. Water physics could be made better. Also there should be a way to have random environment elements like night, day, Rain etc which would make this game more cool and also add to the excitement. Also why not add sound that is almost as real. These are the suggestions which would do good if found in the next game.

But apart from all these problems this game is great if you want pure adrenaline fun. One more reason to buy this game well the learning curve for this game is really low. you pop in the cd and you are good to go.

Worth it for the price.

I have played all the Hot Pursuits over the years, and this one was pretty good. One of the things I like about this series as opposed to other racing games is that you can also play as the cop.
I also enjoy the fact that they do give you the option of choosing multiple paths to the end to try to cut off the competition.
I think there are better, more robust racing games out there, but for the price I'd say that this one is worth the money.

This is THE GREATEST!!!! Well maybe in some ways. my espectations for this game were pretty high and still it surprised me how cool this game is. the game modes are addicting (mostly hot pursuit) and it's fun to buy the cars.the graphics are great and the detail on the cars is amazing. the music in this game stinks but you can put your own tracks on it. The only draw back is that it could use more Lambos or Ferraris... anyway GET THIS GAME!!!!
