Fun game but it just doesnt give you a BREAK!

in this game you can pause the game sort of speak to slow it down like the matrix. That is very cool, but all the time the game will pause and give comic plot line to the game. It is soooooooooooooooo annoying. You start playing and after like every scene the game pauses and it shows a skit. Rent before buying!

This game was Awesome. The control options were great the weapons were cool (love the double guns) and the graphics were great I heard some bad things about the playstation version of this game but decided to buy the x-box version anyways. Never regretted it. I can say the only bad thing was the lack of options in the pause mode. To start a new game you have to turn off the whole x-box.

its a very fun game, i suggest not using the cheats or it will ruin the game (until youve beat it that is). the matrix-esque style and storyline is great, but the game is very short, and it leaves you feeling just that , short. for [the money] you might want to get eldeer scrolls 3: morrowind which has virtually hundreds of hours of gameplay, or UFC: tapout.... this game gets a 1 out of 5 stars for replayability. i beat it once and havent been back since.... it would have been cheaper to go to the arcade and spend ... bucks anbd i would have got more fun out of that. my advice, look at the other great games for xbox and skip this one... (the graphics kind of [are bad] as well, as this game was intended for PS2 and doesnt take advantage of the xbox's full power)

This is one of the best tomb raider/Metal Gear/Duke Nukem type of games ever. The only thing is once you beat it theres not much more to do with it. Its only one player and the only way to get something barely even different is to play it in one of the harder modes. I would and did rent it, beat it, and then took it back after I beat it to blockbuster. You may have to pay a late fee depending your skill at the game but its still cheaper than buying it and being stuck with it after you beat it.

Max Payne is great game. At times the story mode w/ the horrible voice acting can get annoying, but the suspense and horror while playing the game, all make up for it. The worst part about the game though, is that it is way to short. The best part of the game would easily be the awesome control of bullet time and how your allowed to dodge bullets. With all that said, the pros are more overwhelming than the cons, so I believe for any teenage or older gamer this is a great and rewarding buy.

If you've never played a game with slow mo dives, get this then Enter the Matrix. There's a good story line was well. The problem with this is the faces don't look rite.

Max Payne is definitly one of the best action games out there
Pros:
Sweet graphics
A huge aresonal of weapons
Bullet time puts enemies at your mercy
Short but sweet
Nice graphic Novel Cutseenes
Quick save is tite(Don't need to start all the way over like in the PS2 version)
Just a pure action-Shoot em up game
Cons:
Horrible voice acting
Plot starts good, but later on, it makes no sence
Not much replay value

Max Payne definitly brought Hong Kong shootout action films to life on consoles with propper justice. Altho the dialoge is just plain out horrible, the gameplay is what matters, and the gameplay is all action. If you ever wanted a pure action game, get this; if you ever wanted to be Chow-Yun Fat, this is as close as you get; if you want a lengthy game, rent this first, cause it's not that long.

Great game. No joke, a truly great game. I was skeptical at first before I bought it, but was not sorry after. Great plot, very interactive. Very realistic. Excellent graphics. Will hook you in and not want to stop playing. Very fun. Excellent, user friendly weapons and several levels to keep your interest. Only problem was the language and screaming was a little too graphic in some parts, but otherwise, great game. I can't wait for the sequel coming out next year. The only game I have played of its type as good as Halo. I would not sell back this game.

The gameplay and graphics are good, but the game is too short and too easy. I finished the game in two days!
Other than being short, everything else was great.
