This game is the most addictive game i've ever played. And the only game that I ever completed. I would recommend this game to everybody that owns a system that has this title. Definite five stars! out

The title says it all - it's like being in an arcade of human bad guys with your pick of weapons to take them down. It's not easy - for sure - but it makes for some great game time. Once you get started, you don't want to stop, just to go to the head. Now, food is a different subject! A fun game. I'm looking for a "Max Payne - Part II".
At 56, I'm not a youngster, but I'm enjoying the hell out of this game. Have always been into the computer stuff, but this is using up all my extra time and it's FUN!

Oh yeah, this definitely had a storyline, blood and great action. I had a great time playing this game. Then I increased the difficulty and am having a harder time winning, which makes the game more fun since it does not simply end after winnning the first time. The stop-motion, slow-time action is quite revolutionary in games and was a needed game for the XBox, since many others games lacked this action so early in XBox's life. This game is far better and much more fun than HALO, except here you do not get to drive a car around, but that is why we are given drivers license, not semio-automatic weaponry.

this game while visualy stunning and fun to play becomes to easy if you've beaten it. linear. bullet time is the greates feture. good storyline.
i bought this game, enjoyed, played it but after the second time id beaten it. A must play. yet you must be very enthusiastic to buy it

I'll keep this short.Bullet time the best feture avalible in any game. The story line is great and easy to follow. A huge selection of weapons maltave cocktails shotgun pistal and about ten more. The are many leavels in the game its hard to stop playing once you start. There is only one bad thing Max's face expresion. This is a must buy game.

Well, well. I finally got Max Payne today, and I must tell you, with much regret, this game blows big time. It DOES NOT live up to the hype. Blood, guts and gore it indeed has, but is MAX PAYNE ground breaking? In one area, I must say yes, the slow motion feature demonstrates a natural progression that future third person shooters will indeed follow, but that's all. This game, at least for me, became repetitive and irritating after only a few minutes of game play... THIS IS NO HALO! If you want to experiment with the slow motion effect buy the game used or even better, rent it...

While this game is no "Halo", it is still one of the top games for the Xbox. The slow motion Matrix effect is excellent, and the graphics are top notch.
One of the few complaints I have with this game is the lack of a consistent "feel" - there are so many stops for the comic-book like dialogue, you can't ever really get in the groove of the game. I hope there is a sequel.

Max Payne has a good twist in video games with the slow-mo and the plot. It is good for older kids like 13 or 14 put if smaller kids under stand it, it is okay.
