I can only think of one word to describe this game. Horrible!! The first one was much better. The storyline is the probably the most poorest story line on any Xbox game! This game deserves -5 stars! I'm not at all surprised that dozens of gamers or already putting their copy of Halo 2 up for sale. Overall, this game is quite stupid. I would post the voting buttons, but I have no clue how to do that. www.bn.com is a lot easier to post a review.

Halo 2 is no Killzone.

Without this game there would be no more X-Box. Microsofts superior game machine would have gone the way of Dreamcast and that would have been to bad. But all I have to ask is WHY? I think this is one of the most over rated, under whelming, over hyped games ever. period.

The Level design is awful...There is a radar but no map, I spent half my time back tracking and trying to decide what identical hallway to walk down only to realise I'd been there before. The mission objectives are vague and unintersting.

The character design and mythology of Halo is at best the sort of thing a 13 year old high school art student would doodle on the back of his note books in Algebra. I mean gorillas with ARMOR?!! Everything is so colorful, it feels like I should be hopping on Yoshi's back and shooting koopas and shy guys. And the story line reminds me of some throw away Sci Fi channel series starring a washed up 80 TV icon. All the dialog is this awful self referential "humor", if you didn't LOVE halo 1 then you either wont get or wont care about all the constant idiotic banter. I assume it's supposed to make you feel like a bad ass for getting all the inside jokiness, but it just felt like an excuse for bob odenkirk and dave cross to get a chance to play an early build of halo. And the ending, jesus. It is such a marketing ploy. there is no game here...it's like the matrix...they are laughing at us...they know they could put anything in this game and fan boys would love it. but it doesn't go anywhere it just ends. it says we know you will buy halo 3 suckers...and we will put as much half assed effort into that game.

The only redeeming factor is the multiplayer, which is GREAT. totally fun. mindless fun. But that doesn't make up for paying 50 bucks...they should have just re released halo 1 with X-Box live support becasue that's really all this game is. and online expansion pack.

Half Life 2 is an amazing life chaning FPS. Consoles still suck wind when it comes to FPS gaming. halo 2 is fast and smooth but it only shine in multiplayer...and even then its just more of the same. In a time when Half Life 2 is leading the way with outstanding interaction and gripping story telling, Halo 2's weak sauce story and lame, lame, lame gorrilas with helmets just don't cut it.

If you want to have a frag fest with your drinking buddies halo 2 is a good game. but I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Halo 2 is a dime a dozen sci fi yawn-a-thon.

Its just not THAT good. its good---but not the best. AFter all the hype and delays---its good. NOT great like everyone stated. For all the hard core dorks out there that like story lines your going to be dissapointed. Intro to HALO 3 so they can all rape you of your money again

Boring After One Week

Unless you want some fun for only a week, avoid this disappointing sequel to the truly great game: Halo.

Microsoft has done it again: create a great product and follow it up with no substance. There are 1,000 reasons that this game now stinks and you can find them all over the Internet.

If you are good with Halo, Halo 2 will be sure to disappoint you. If you have never played before, either one will do, but better players are migrating back to the original.

False advertising......

I will quote them on saying, "On november 9 earth will never be the same." They also say on the case of the game that earth gets invaded and you have to fight off the covenant to defend earth. Don't get your hopes up because earth is invaded in only one level. Half of the footage you've seen in the trailers isn't even in the game it's self. That pissed me off, but if you didn't want to fight on earth and like a game that's full of surprises then this is the game for you. Multiplayer is awsome.

As I mentioned this game is truly amazing.

There is not any other game that can come close to this game.

I thought Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas is great. This makes Grand theft feel inferior.

Truly superb in every sense.

10/10 for graphics, gameplay, value, entertainment and replayability

This game sucked! I am probably the only one who feels this way. If you like playing the original Halo, then just keep playing it. The differences in the two games are minimal. And Halo 2 has what is possibly the worst story EVER! The whole game was just an advertisement for Halo 3. Which will probably only be available on the next generation of consoles. 10 out of 10 my eye! Just because it is a sequal to a great game, does not mean it's a great game. So if you like a big let down of a story with hardly any changes between games then get this game. Or you could play the original, and avoid the suck.

first off, i am not a kid, its just easier this way
Now on with the review As you can see from my title, I am a fan of this game. It's campain is amazing and well thought out. I find myself really interested in the story every time i am playing through the campaign. The multiplayer never gets old. I do not have xbox live, but splitscreen and system link are pretty much perfect. I cannot recommend this game enough. If you want a list of xbox games to get they are: Halo 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, ESPN NFL 2k5, and Burnout 3.

I have had the game for ever now and I am astounded by the content this game offers. The graphics and sound design are astonishing. Music comes in whenever it is needed and when there isn't music there is well done gun sounds. The absents of music at these times can really make you look back and think about what you have accomplished. coupled with the amazing graphics this games presentation value is fantastic. besides all of that the gun play fanominal and never leaves you wanting more. the epic story really draws you in always making you want to see what happens next. splitscreen multiplayer is addictive and incrediblally fun with the system link. the online gameplay is included this time around. Which leaves you playing late into the night and gets really indepth with the clans. It took me so long to get to writing this review becuase I have been busy writing reviews for other games. The multiplayer map pack adds hundreds upon hundreds of hours of gameplay. also included is story missions playing as the arbitor, Wich allows you to see more on the covenent side in this conflict. There is a lot of biyist people who love the clasics and don't enjoy these new games becuase they love the good old days of video games. So don't listen to the reviews that gave Halo 2 a low score. Most of what these people say is fake. They say they own it but you can tell that they have never played it because they say false information. Don't listen to these reviews.I would write more about the game but I am a little short on time. Bottom Line- Pick this game up cheap if you own a Xbox or get it later if you are looking to get a Xbox 360 and you don't have the original Xbox. Get the new maps and let the days fly by until Halo 3 comes out. hope you enjoy Halo 2 as much as I did and still am.
