This game is going to be great! I've seen the in game screenshots and read the reviews. Rag doll graphics and intense game play will make game a sure #1. It's going to be just as great as halo with doom 3 graphics. I cant wait for this game to come out. I've defiantly got this game on my wish list. If you have not seen the photos of this game I urge you to do so. After reading about the part where you are stuck in the old prison under ground, and hundreds of mutant cannibal prisoners attacking you in the pitch black, I told every one I know, who equally shared my enthusiasm. Get this game and you will be pleased. It will defiantly make the wait for halo 2 much more bearable.

A friend of mine went to E3 last week and he said the game was totally amazing. This game will be the second best game this year after Halo 2. Did you guys read that the game got nominated as the best game in four categories at E3, that says about everything. I'll preorder this game at once. You do too!

Ok first id like to say this review is after playing a demo version. 10/10 Graphics- Bar none the best graphics ive ever seen on a console system and 80% of PC games. It will blow away any ps2 game that is out and will be out trust me on that. After playing this ull really b able to see why you bought your xbox in the 1st place. Vin deseal looks identical in this game.
Gamplay 9/10 gamplay is str8 up awesome. even with the enhensed graphics i see and feel no slow down at all in the frame rate. The whole game centers on you trying to escape from a prison. You can sneak up behind enemies and snap there necks. blow out lights to consele you approach. One complain i have abt that is i thought his character can see in the dark. So i wasnt able to really use this feature. Maybe you get that later since this was a demo.
AI is really good unlike most shooters where you can kill some1 really easy this you cant unless you are a wimp and have it on the easiest setting. If thats the case go buy a ps2 cause i dont think your ready for an xbox yet.
One thing i will say that some people wont like( hence parents of yourger kids) is the stong language like gta except i dont think they ever used the word motherf---ker
so basically i cant wait till this game drops in june even tho its like a week away. Its gonna be bad if you got the cash you should jump on this tyitle you wont regret it.
if your not a tough guy - you will feel like one after this

Well despite what review websites are saying about this title, I believe Riddick to be an excellent game. If you were to compare this game to another game (which most do) then this game is a play between Deus Ex and Breakdown. I'll stop with the comparison there because if you've played either you'll know right away what I'm talking about.
First off, when do you ever see a game with voice acting that is good or isn't cheesy? It's pretty rare and this game is definitely a benchmark as far as that goes for games. Speaking of benchmarks - how bout those graphics? Wow. I've read up on how normal mapping works and blah blah blah, technical stuff...graphics are extremely nice (maybe some of the best) and the game doesn't slow down ever. Characters look life like and move like they should. AI is pretty good with the exception of the mech looking guards that can't aim up at you even if you're one crate off of the ground. There aren't too many weapons to get your hands on but that's ok. The ones present are really nice (once you've got your DNA in...) and do the right amount of damage. Hand to hand combat is easy to get the hang of and you'll be using it often early on. Story is usually something overlooked in a game but it seems that this games story keeps you always wanting to get to the next level or checkpoint.
Note to parents and I'm not sure I've ever heard this - This game swears a lot. Not just normal swearing, they frequently use the F word. Be warned. Other than that, it's your normal mature rated shooter/action title.
Overall this game will keep you busy with your Box even if only for a few hours, as the game is rated to last b/w 8-10 hours. A tad short for my liking but any FPS fan or action fan or Vin fan should pick this title up. You'll never regret doing so.
Oops here comes another while we wait for Doom3/Halo2

If you have alot of money to spend and have to play a game now then go for it. I would reccomend Full Spectrum Warrior (same release date.) FPS games are so common now that you should try something new and wait for the REALLY good FPS games that are coming: Doom 3, Halo2, Half-Life 2....yadayadayada. The game is also to short to constitute $50.

Played the Demo version.
Graphics is off the hook!
Very fun to play. Feels open, there is no set path. Fighting/shooting engine is nicely done. AI will ambush you like a dog. Played for 10 minutes, I was cornered and had to climb on bunch of boxes so that I can spray enemy with the lead and don't hit their body armor.
This is what I expect Doom 3 to look/play like.
Highly recommended.
A new era in movie tie in game design

First off I have to say that Riddick is amazing! I got this game on release and I am really impressed with the amount of polish displayed in the design of the game. The intro to the game is setup like a movie and the first thing that you will notice is how amazingly detailed the world and the characters are. In addition, the story line seems very cool from what I've been able to experience so far. If the ending of the game is anything like the beginning then I can't wait to bust out of jail. Not only are the graphics in this game incredible, but the sound is really well done. All the characters that you meet are very well voice acted and really make you feel like your new home for life is a prison. The game play also deserves to be recognized because this is the best fps on a console since the mighty Halo. The controls feel real good when shooting and also when handing out knuckle sandwiches to your new "neighbors". I was surprised how good the hand to hand combat in the game is. Throwing punch combos and pulling off neck breaking stealth kills is a snap and really cool to experience. The music also deserves recognition since its very moody when it needs to be and also picks up, dynamically, with the action. Overall, the music in the game is very well done and so are the sound effects. The only problem that I have with the game is the lack of multiplayer but I can't fault the developers too much for that because what they were able to accomplish is so much better than a slapped on multiplayer mode. Besides, just because a game is played from the first person perspective it doesn't have to be multiplayer. This game is not just a first person shooter, its more of a first person shooter, rpg, adventure, and stealth game; Riddick definitely pulls off that mix with style. The rpg elements in the game are pretty cool. For example, you might get a request from some inmate to kill this dude for a reward if you decide to do it then you can get some money, info, or smokes. The game uses cigarettes as a way to unlock extra material like movie screenshots or concept art and such. Not only that, collecting the cigarettes is pretty cool on their own since the warning labels on them are pretty funny to read. Overall, I have to say that Riddick is definitely a huge surprise. I never expected that this game would be this cool and be based of a movie franchise at that. If you're into action games and are looking for something to start off your summer with a bang or a snap definitely pick up Riddick. Aight, gotta go back to try to bust out of the joint. (...)
Dark Brutal Game Experience

Let's just get to the gist of what this game has; probably the best graphics to date I've seen in an XBOX game, excellent use of light and shadow for stealth, very good enemy A.I., brutal language, sound, and imagery (exactly the type of stuff you'd expect in a vicious prison environment), and an involving storyline. There were a few graphical anomalies here and there (e.g. "seams" visible in some character models, mouth movement not very articulated in some scenes) and load times can be a little annoying, but these really take nothing away from the overall presentation and game play elements. Using shadows as a means of ambushing an approaching sentry is one of my favorite game play elements so far.
I'm only about an hour into the game, but thus far, Butcher Bay has been an incredibly visceral and exciting experience. This game is easy to recommend to anyone who's into the action and/or stealth genres (think Splinter Cell meets Halo for a general idea).
