This game was worth the wait. I bought it yesterday. The graphics are AMAZING. Not to mention the sound, lighting, music, and voices. This game doesn't get boring. So much detail. How all games should be.

Forget for a moment its 2 years behind schedule...forget its an adaptation of a WB TV series. THIS GAME ROCKS! The graphics are top notch...the storyline draws in even the most non-Buffy fan.

Take the time to learn the special moves...it makes a world of difference.

I have seen lots of games in my days, but this one takes the cake. You can save anywhere, you have great graphics, great plot, and best of all you get to kick a little demon butt. I loved every inch of this game. My husband loved every second of it too. This is one of the 2 best games ever released for XBOX. Even if you are not a fan of the now off the air TV show you will LOVE this game. Try it...you won't be dissapointed.

The game starts out with a traning bored thats not to bad the dilogue is good but gets a little repetitve the action is great the plot is preety good and the fighting arenas are awesome and you can have a friend fight you and olso once you enter a fighting arena your friend can become pepole in the game witch is not to good but still fun and the game is fun even if you already beat it the only real problom is that buffy says some lines over and over but over all it is a great buy and I highly recomand it

I love the show, and this game really does it justice. Even to the corny one liners!

Even though it's pretty hard to beat (especially with that snake vampire) I recommend it to Buffy fans, action fans, supernatural fans and butt kicking fans.

The wait for this game was not fun.

Buffy was originally going to come out in the fall of 2000. It was going to debut on the Dreamcast, the Playstation, and PC. I (A die-hard Buffy fan) waited patiently and ran to the store on the original release date to find nothing. I looked the game up on-line and I learned it would come out in January of 2001 so I ran out again to find nothing. I learned that July that Buffy was going to come out on the X-box so I bought the system two or three months after it (the system) came out. I went to the stores in may of 2002 (the release date) only to learn that it was once again pushed back until August.

I have to say that the day the game came out was a huge pay-off.

Buffy came out two years after the original release date but it was well worth it. What a great game! The controls were good the graphics were excellent and the story was good. This game is like a lost episode of the series. I would give this game five stars if the last couple of puzzle levels weren't so hard. This game can be really hard at times but it's worth the price and it's worth your time if you give it a chance.

I just bought an XBOX on Sunday because I was dying to play this game. It was definentley worth it! The graphics are so amazing and everybody looks good, except Willow, I do not know what they were thinking. The levels are a bit shorter than the second game, but some are harder, especially the Maze level! CONFUSING! Everyone does their voices except for Buffy, but Giselle Loren sounds almost exactly like her. Much more than the second game. The levels are very fun. I love the High school ones.

Some good things about this game compared to the second game:
* You get an inventory screen.
* you get to carry weapons along each level.
* you can boost your power.
* this game has a lot of cool cheats you can use
* the graphics, except for Will
* Save points!
* One more level than the second game.

WAYS THAT PART 2 IS BETTER:
* Multiplay arena
* Willow looks better, even though she isn't voiced by Alyson Hannigan.
* EXTRAS!
* The control functions
* Longer levels with more puzzles.

But I think that people shouldn't compare the games (even though I did) because the games should stand on their own, and by theirselves they are both very good!

Lastly, the game was VERY good! It took me only 3 days to beat. That's my only little complaint, the game is a little too short. I would have liked if Oz was in this game. The next Buffy game should take place in season 7! and they should bring Dawn in as a playable character! She's got some slayer skills.

Ratings: on a scale of 1-10: 12.

Despite the many many happy reviews of this game (one of the main reasons I bought it) I have to admit to being pretty dissapointed. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any stretch of the imagination but even I found this pretty easy to play. A bit too easy, and too repetitive. Every level felt the same - kill vampires, kill spiders, kill strange lobster like monster thingys...but with no real feeling of challenge. The graphics and audio are excellent, as are the voice overs, but I almost felt as if I was playing by numbers here. Try Indiana Jones and the Emperors Tomb for a more heart pounding game.
