Better than average

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 6 / 10

Titan Quest has all the standard features of its genre. Its two biggest pluses are it has a better than average story and grahically its very nice on the eyes. When I say standard features I am talking about customizing your character etc. Included in the game is a level editor and online multiplayer support. I would have preferred being able to rotate the camera view similar to Dungeon Siege 2, thats just a style of line of sight that I like. Also it would have been nice if the game could use a gamepad, after a hour of play your mouse finger gets pretty tire. All in all a decent game but it is not revolutionary, just evolutionary.

Extremely Addicting

It's an extremely addicting game which gets better and better the more you play. You can play at your own pace since it is single player or play online with a friend in a co-op mode where you can both use your mastery skills to overcome enemies. Don't worry about dedicating your life to the game in order to have fun like in World of Warcraft. There are tons of choices to make and combinations to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ** And I normally don't play these types of games. I'm a First Person Shooter gamer typically. Try the demo first and you'll see!!

If you Loved Diablo II - buy this game

Titan Quest is an Awesome game! Like all previous reviewers say "this is like Diablo II, only improved".

Definitely take the Nature skill and put points into the Sylvan Nymph - she kicks butt. Max her points and the 2 skills above her. She protects you well. The wolves are a help too. The Nymph and Wolves stay with you until their health runs out (a good many fights), not for a set duration like Diablo II.

The hotkeys are much better. They sit along the bottom of the screen, right click on a numbered box and assign a skill from the popup. 9 & 0 are your health and mana potions, you can assign 1-8 as skills.

The places you visit are so much nicer, not so dark and brooding like Diablo II. Egypt, Babylon, Greece, and that whole region is so bright and beautiful.

Don't get me wrong, Diablo II is Awesome. I've played it countless times with all the characters and will be first in line for Diablo III. Titan Quest is a wonderful and refreshing game to tide me over until Diablo III is released. If you loved Diablo - Buy this game.

Modern Day - Diablo II

Excellent Game. If you want to slash and kill monsters, demons, and beasts, then this game is for you.

This is more of an action fight game, not a RPG like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights. If you liked Diablo II or Dungeon Siege I/II, then you will like this game.

Excellent, old-time RPG game. Add the expansion pack for more fun. Save points mean you have to play thru 'till the next area, but most avid gamers have no problem with this. Plenty of hidden treasures and side quests. This gives you hours of game play. The more monsters you kill, the more you can do.

Lots of content

This game has a ton of content. I haven't completely finished it, but at this point I've already felt that I was at the end twice only to have a whole new chapter of the game open up. That's pretty impressive to me after having played through numerous recent games that had less than 10 hours of content. I really felt like I got my money's worth and then some out of this game.

Of course as other reviewers have mentioned, this game bears a striking resemblance to Diablo II. If you are into action type RPG's, that's a good thing, though and exactly why I purchased it.

Yes, It IS Diablo III - Waaay Cool!

If you played Diablo II and liked it, you will love this game, which is set in Ancient Greece with modern day graphics. Straight forward game interface and character development path to customize your character after a rather limiting initial choice of male/female.

I love action-RPGs and ancient history, so I was totally excited about this game.... it pretty much lived up to my expectations. Lotsa cool monsters and loot, lotsa different character types, nice graphics... and even some challenging play.

It is one of the best games I've ever played. Very well developed, fun and entangling (in good sense). Looking forward to playing TQ-2!

A similar style and concept to Diablo. The effects are excellent and the story is fun. Unfortunately, there is so much stuff to pick up and sell and yet so very little to buy. Most of the armor and weapons I used were found rather than bought. I was hungry for more good loot as the game went on. Regardless, if you need a diablo fix, get this one.
