There are so many better, smarter, cooler titles out there now! If Nintendo had any class at all they would have left Mario alone back in 1996 with Super Mario RPG. In my opinion, this was Mario's prime! He had both Super Mario 2 and Super Mario RPG to go out with. They would have successfully used Mario for eleven years but no, Nintendo has to keep juicing the poor, old man with cash-in titles like Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, which had no depth or long-term value! He spent half of his career doing the same thing! (Saving the ditsy Princess Toadstool) The gaming industry has grown so much since Mario first came out, move on already! They even managed to juice one of their best, most innovative side-game series! (Mario Party) I mean come on, Mario Party 4! It's the fourth sequel of a side-series for a character that is now over 18 years old and even that series didn't help make Mario grow into a real character that you can really care about or relate to!
Now back to Mario Sunshine. It's just Mario 64 with better graphics and a few minor gameplay changes! In my opinion, Mario 64, Zelda 64, Zelda: Majora's Mask, Banjo 1 and 2, DK64, Conker all play the same when you get down to it, but I know no matter what I say it's still gonna sell like hotcakes. I just had to get this off my chest after seeing this on the top seller list!
In my opinion, only when people stop buying Nintendo's boring, unoriginal, graphically-updated rehashes of the same games you've played already is when Nintendo will truly get back on the ball and truly start to delivering new, different titles that are truly worthwhile like they used to back in the Golden Age of Nintendo! (The reign of Super Nintendo of course)
Looks better than Super Mario 64

Let me just say that I've never played this, but I've seen screenshots and it looks awesome! This game looks alot like Super Mario for N64, but there are many added features. Obviously the graphics are better, but mario gets new weapons like a water gun! I will definately be 1st in line to get this one(along with Star Fox and Zelda of course).
YAWN! I'D RATHER PLAY MARIO 64.

Wow they never stop thinking up ways to make mario fresh and innovative. NOT! this game is a disgrace. A cheesey story but what would you expect from a mario game. The thing with this mario game is that the gameplay itself is so much like that of other platformer games that it became repetetive and boring in about 5 or 10 minutes. Other game sites gave this scores like 8.8 and 8.6 but I would dare say it only earns a 5.5 or a 6.0. I think mario's days are numbered unless nintendo wants to stick with the played out concept that graphics dont make a great game. True graphics alone can't make a great game but it seems now that nintendo can't either. I am no longer impressed by the simplistic character models that nintendo's latest offerings display. A cartoon plumber jumping around and landing on the enemies head is quite frankly played out. How much longer is nintendo going to dwell in the past. This isn't the 1980's/early 1990's anymore NINTENDO YOUR FANS HAVE GROWN UP AND SO SHOULD YOU. Or else be left in the dust which is where im sure you will be when the next generation of consoles comes out. Ps3 will be getting my hard earned money and not nintendo not after being forced to play inferior products such as this.
Fun?

3 words. Worse game ever. This game is a complete waste of your money. All of you wondering how you can go wrong with Mario, just play this game and you will find out. Not only does it suck it's very easy. The camera is the worst and Fludd is the most annoying thing that I have encountered in my life. The graphics are good but not great and the controls are easy to learn but aside from that It's a complete waste of your money.

Those who have played games for a few years now may have realized one thing - games are getting easier. And its not simply due to maturity and being better at finding patterns in games, games are truly getting easier. I don't think that is a good thing to do to games. Infact, the more frusterated I get over a game, the better I feel the game is. Of course there is a limit - too difficult and noone will complete it, but too easy and games get finished in under a week.
This game is fun, don't get me wrong. But those who have played older versons of Mario will realize this is far too easy and short and does not make a good addition to the Super Mario Legacy. if you haven't played this - Play it! But, If you want difficulty or you want to feel more accomplished when you finish a level - go back to perhaps Super Mario64.

Now back to Mario Sunshine. Anyone who has a brain would realize that it's just Mario 64 with better graphics and a few minor gameplay changes! In my opinion, Nintendo should have broken a law by now with all the platform games they've made for Nintendo Sixty-bore, I mean four only! Mario 64, Zelda 64, Zelda: Majora's Mask, Banjo 1 and 2, DK64, Conker all play the same when you get down to it, but I know no matter what say it's still gonna sell like hotcakes. This game is great. If you never heard anything about Super Smash Bros. or Super Smash Bros. let me fill you in. Super Smash Bros. is a game where you can vs. each other to the death. You can pick out of 14 characters(not including the other 11 secret characters) to dual your friends or by yourself. You also collect trophys and makes records.(For instance, Home Run or Target Test Records. The graphics are MUCH better compare to the polygon-like characters in the first Super Smash Bros.. The characters are Mario, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Samus, Link, Zelda, Peach, Bowser, Fox, Yoshi, Ice Climbers, Ness, Captain Faclon and Kirby. I can't tell you the secret characters or it wouldn't be a secret. I suggest you put this game on your wish list this year.
Disappointment at its best!

I am a huge fan when it comes to Mario games but this one let me down. I got it for Christmas and jumped right on to play it. But after spraying about a thousand or so plants you start to wonder why the heck you are still playing. The next day I sold it at Gamestop, now it's someone else's problem.
