This is a really good game, and is lots of fun to play. It's good for all ages, simple enough for kids, yet a challenge for older players, too.
Not Very Interesting

I rented Super Mario Sunshine instead of buying it, and I'm glad. (It's always a good idea to rent a game first...
The graphics are gorgeous, and the sound is good too (I don't usually pay that much attention to sound in games, so I can't really evaluate it).
This is probably one of those "love it or hate it" games. I found the premise -- Mario is falsely accused of splattering a resort town with paint, and is sentenced to community service cleaning up the mess -- cute but not compelling.
The camera drove me crazy. Yes, it's (usually) 360 degrees, but it's also almost always pointed the wrong way. I liked it better when a game's camera would automatically point in a logical direction, even if that meant I couldn't control the camera.
Lots of people love this game. If you want a traditional "kill monsters and pick up trinkets" platform game in a 3-D environment, you'll love it too...
Don't buy this game!

This game isn't alot of fun.I loved the first 2 levels but when you get to the first episode,it took me weeks to beat. Then, after you finish the first episode you have no idea of what to do!My friend told me to find the shine sprite gate but it's no where to be found! It's unbelievible! You can only go to about to places and when you find a new passage way, don't get to excited. Its probably a place you've already been.Don't waste your money on this game!

I've played all the mario games. I was never that big on them, except mario 2 (american mario 2) AND Mario64; I loved them.
This Mario is the BEST mario ever and somewhat harder than Mario64, except they give you too many free lives. The game itself is very good; but the level design is horrible. Mario64 is a better over all game.
Actually, after I got a hang of it, despite having more advanced controls than mario64, the levels became too easy.
I died about 10 times before beating the game with 12 lives left. I also was very sick of going back to EACH level 8 times. Mini-games are for Zelda. The plateform levels were GREAT but too short and there were not many of them. A WHOLE game of those SIMPLE plateforms levels without cheezy plots and movies and a STUPID end level; would have taken Nintendo 25% of the time and got them a 6 STAR rating from me.
Mario64 has more levels and they are more interesting despite their simple graphics. This Mario fell short of Mario64.
Nintendos time would be better spent on making more good levels than creating cheezy movies, plots, and detailed graphic rich levels. Some things are only seen 1 time in the whole game! Sure, repeating stuff was necessary on older systems, but they made up for that with good level design. Here they clearly are doing what many companies are doing, wasting time on having every little detail LOOK cool but not spending time on levels. Speaking of which, if they want to waste their time, why don't they use the cube's advantages and make all the blades of grass sway with the wind?
Excellent!

I don't know why people adore this game.
The graphics are pretty good but the game is just about a little man running around spranging little monsters on a holiday island which is inhabited by blobbish humanoids.
I would only recommed for 7 and under.
Pathetically babyish.
Um, yeah, is this a science class?

I am a Mario fanatic, yet I was severely let down when my younger brother bought the game and let me borrow it. First, Mario's job is to clean the city, what is the fun in cleaning buildings? I felt like the whole game was intended to give a moral lesson on the subject on pollution, thank you, I have a Department of Interior and a science class for that. Save your money. And oh, yeah, must Peach be stolen in EVERY Mario game?
Fun and Enternaining
