Apparently, this is the game all the 3rd grade boys are playing. My boy and his buddies have been giving it quite a workout.

I have a question about Battlefront 2: I own Battlefront 1, and was slightly disappointed that you cannot aquire other guns from fallen enemies/allies. Is this feature included in Battlefront 2?

Great on PS2. Lousy on PC - the graphics are dingy and controls (with a USB gamepad) are lousy compared to PS2. Save yourself the hassle, and just get a PS2 and buy the game on that.
Pretty Cool

I saw my friend's son playing the original Battlefront on his Xbox and I thought it was pretty cool, so I asked and received Battlefront II for Christmas. If you are looking for a mindless first person shooter that supports about 40 people per game and has some great multiplayer maps, then this is it. Technically the game is probably 4 stars, but if you are like me and like running around as a stormtrooper blasting rebel scumb then you will have a lot of fun with the game. Ship combat is a little weak but a nice add in, and I haven't really gotten into playing a Jedi yet. I've played the multiplayer game late into the evening for three nights in a row since I've gotten it, something I rarely do these days. That should say something for the game. 50 bucks might be a bit steep, but definately pick it up when it goes below thirty if you can, I think you will have fun with it. And as much as I hate the the last three Star Wars movies (or is it the first three? The last three that were made...) I did enjoy playing the bots and the pre-stormtrooper guys. And again, the maps I thought were pretty balanced, large, and well laid out. It was really cool going into cooridors that looked like the rebel ship that vader captured princess Lea on.
A fun game with endless entertainment

This game is not perfect but it is really, really fun. The game is not complex, but the strategy is very interesting. Some think using rockets is most effective, others like sniping, and it is fun to discuss the different tactics and what maps are better for certain tactics and so on. Some units get you alot of kills quickly but you can't actually take command posts with them, while other units (such as my favorite the engineer) favor a slow cautious approach that, if used correctly, can make a huge impact on the battle. If you are not going to play online, this game is worthless, but if you are, it will be a fun time.
Best Star Wars game ever!

Whoa, this game totally blew me away, especially when I first played it. (But that happens to most people the first time they play, right?) I am a total Star Wars geek, and I love shooter-games. This game combined the two just perfectly. The many modes of play allow for both strategy (galactic conquest mode, capture the flag) and hard-core 1st/3rd person action (conqeust, assault, hunt). Whats different from Battlefront 1 is that you canplay as heroes (the Fetts, Dath Vader, Obi-Wan, etc.)which is totally irresistable. This game even has maps/mods that are constantly being made byt fans, making the game much more interesting.

This game is more like an expansion pack to the original Battlefront than anything. The singleplayer campaign is flatout piss-poor, and the AI is dull. Nonetheless, the multiplayer scene for this game is alive and hyper.
Space maps are fun and easy to control with practice. Some servers are all space, many are space-free, and a lucky few keep a nice mix. This game is well worth the current price of $20, as long as your ready to jump into the multiplayer scene for the real fun.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a great game. The campain does get frustrating, (damn those jedi scum) but there are other play modes in the game, simmilar to the campain in the original game. The only draw-back is that the online play is severly lacking. I wanted the good-old one player per team setup, but when I got online, nothing but jedi deathmatches or private servers. Verry dissapointing.

This game was an amazing game, with several improvements to the original. You can fight as Jedi in it, and the feature for fighting in space is really nice too. However, I miss fighting of the ground, and they took some of the better courses in the original Battlefront away to make room for this game.I would reccomend buying this game, but don't expect wonders. However, I would buy this.
