Pros-
Graphics are 100x better even with the lowest graphic setting.
play as jedi/hero.
Galactic conquest is easy to use and fun.
Campaign is actually a campaign.
Units are better looking/fighting.
Sweet attack as you pull out of force sprint and jump attack as Jedi.
Sprint (sprint speed changes by load on person/vehicle).
Better/bigger levels.
The lightning power of the emporer is sweet!
Blow up inatimate objects (shute opening on Death Star as seen in Episode 4).
Faster loading time.
Mos Esily assalt has all the heros fighting each other with no infantry (optional, infantry is on that level).
Endor has improved w/ more area to move on speeder bikes w/ great speeder bike chases (try as Darth Vader).
Darth Vader is slow, but he has so much power.
Award weapons, their sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The over voice say tons more than "we gained a command post"
I once heard a sarcastic coversation by stormtroopers once.
Cons-
Leia stinks (yes, I'm a boy, but still).
Han stinks in normal play (decent in hero play).
SBD blows up and turns into a skinny droid (glitch).
Felucia and Yavin 4 stink and are slow.
Gungans (play as them) stink.
Tip: To permantly get AWARD weapons at start of level, score 64 medals in that category.
Tip: No cheats are in this game.
Tip: To play as much hero as possible- play instant action, then click Hero button to the left, then click time, then move slides to the left untill it says always, so then you can play Jedi after you die over and over again.
Tip: Only by this game if you have a very updated computer w/ lots of hard drive space. If you computer crashes a lot this game will be very annoying.
great potential, but disappointed so far

i haven't played this game much yet (i guess that says it all), but here's my impression so far. this game is advertised for its great multiplayer, yet i had no such experience. for one thing, the maps are pretty bad. they're really small and the whole game simply feels like counterstrike with star wars graphics. sure, the graphics are really good, but what about the gameplay? well, at times it's fun, but here's my biggest complaint - WHO ARE THE ENEMIES? for god's sake, would it kill them to make it easier to see who's on your team and who's on the other team?? in a game like call of duty, each side has different uniforms so it's obvious. to make it even worse, servers use friendly fire. so i'm running around just trying to figure out who to shoot. some of the weapons are quite cool, but i had some problems. would it kill them to put in a description in the game of what weapons do what? i used the incinerator on people and nothing happens. and what all can those tongs be used for? what's going on?! granted i should probably read the instruction manual, but if i wanted to read, i'd read a book.
as far as the space fighting, the graphics are great, but the gameplay was TERRIBLE. i couldn't figure out how to find the enemies in the vastness of space, how to shoot them or anything. i think this kind of thing should be somewhat intuitive. i don't play flight sims or anything, but i can easily figure out how to fly a plane... if you make it intuitive.
on the plus side, the single player is good so far. i'm curious as to whether battlefront 1 is a better multiplayer game than this, but i'm not sure i want to spend the money to find out.
awesome game!!!

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is an experience that shouldn't be missed for any fan of the movies. In this, the second installment of the series, it allows a hero mode that allows you to be a Star Wars hero/villain for x amount of time(how long you survive depends on how much damage you take, and dish out). Another edition are the space battles, which are pretty fun, I for one had an excellent time dogfighting online. Which brings me to some of the games faults.. Online play is frequently laggy, and there are some really odd glitches. For the most part this game is extremely entertaining, though.
The best Star Wars game ever!

When I first bought this game I didn't expect it to be so good, but imagine my surprise when a message at the bottom of the screen says I can now play as Luke Skywalker! This game is a real killer. It has a whole lot of action, destruction, and space battles. Best of all the PC version is not different from the PS2 or XBOX versions! The graphics animate beautifully, and the music is straight from George Lucas's soundtrack. However, the gameplay is a bit sparse. You aim, shoot, reload, die. It may get a bit old, but the Jedi and their Jedi powers keeps the excitement flowing through the game. In the end, this game is a MUST-HAVE for fans of Star Wars, shooters, action, and adventure games.
Greatest Star Wars Game!!!!

This game is great! It's even better than Battlefront I!! You can play as Jedis and Siths. You can fight in space. Those are things you can't do in Battlefront I. It has the same controls as Battlefront I, so if you know that game you can pick up on this easily. It's an awesome game for kids who like Star Wars.
Simply have to play this one

Tattooine / mos Eisley assault is my favorite part of the game. I like this planet and engagement the best. I like that you can assume the identity of the different main characters. My favorite weapon is the guided rocket. Best game -- must play or you will be doomed to a life of boringness.
PC version rates higher!

My husband had rented the play station version of this game and found it to be a little frustrating at times. The pc version he finds much easier to follow. He can maneuver the character much more easily in the computer version and the graphics are great. It keeps him occupied for hours!
awesome game

First of all, let me say I LOVED the first Battlefront, especially the multi-player. My comments focus primarily on MP.
What I Love:
1 The space environment is HUGE! It is exhilirating to zoom past Imperial Star Destroyers, dodging turbo laser blasts. Sadly, I'm not very good at space combat yet, but neither is anyone else I've played online with, so I don't feel too bad. I do have a complaint about the controls for space combat(see "My Gripes:" below)
2 Call me crazy, but there was little 'social interaction' in the original Battlefront, and personally, I don't mind not having it here. You can still fight as a group if you want. Another Star Wars FPS, Republic Commando, excels in the 'coordinated combat' category.
3 The maps overall are great, very detailed and expansive. Some are nearly the same as the original BF (for example, the Mos Eisley and Naboo maps), but with slightly improved graphics.
4 The ability to play as 'heros' (such as Obi-Wan, Yoda even Princess Leia) is a great addition, and mucho fun! Nothing beats playing as the bun-haired Princess Leia, cutting down dozens of Stormtroopers with your girlie laser pistol! Also enjoyable is the ability to set-up a MP game using only the 'hero' characters.
My Gripes:
1. There should be a cockpit view for space combat. It creates a more immersive experience, and is easier to control (at least for me). As an old-timer (I was addicted to Star Wars: X-Wing in college) I would see the addition of a cockpit view to be, in the words of Martha, "A Good Thing."
2. What?! No prone position? I LOVED the ability to lay down to snipe the bad guys. Why wasn't that carried over? Crouching doesn't cut it, as inevitably some other sniper will see my fat droid/blazing white helmet and take me out first.
So, here's to Lucasarts giving us back our prone position and a cockpit view!
