A disapointing letdown

While mowing down hundreds of enemies can certainly be fun, my mouth was hanging open when I realized that was ALL THIS GAME IS. There is no storyline, you don't even get a character you play as. It's simply mindless shooting. It's billed as strategy, but it's not that either. You can command a small squad to go with you, but it's essentially just a lot of chaos.

I am giving it a generous rating because it is well made and the battles are amusing. But I HIGHLY recomend you wait until this one hits the bargain bins. I am still regretting the $50 I had to pay for this game. Mindless shooting is just not worth that kind of money!

star wars battlefront!!!

I love this game! there are so many shooting and explosions everywhere when in battle! espicially planet bespin.THis game is great but won't be as good as star wars battlefront 2 where you can play as jedi! and of couse the rebels,droids,imperial, and the new look for the clone troopers! the look from star wars revenge of the sith. plus new planets! like planet mustfar where the anakin and obi-wan duel will take place! STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 WILL COME OUT FALL OF 2005. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS GAME!U really get 2 command your own army by saying: "Hold your positions". "Move, move, move!" "Disperse.""Spread out!" "Come with me!" "I need backup!" etc.Also, the Dark Troopers(Imperial Army) can use their jetpacks(not 2 fly) 2 jump really high and land right in front of their enemy and take im' down with their turrett gun, same as the Clone Jet Trooper who can fly, but only about 15 seconds, but has a huge blaster cannon that can destroy a cluster of enemies and when they fly, its really hard 2 hit em! Also, u can use any kind of vehicle u want even if its an enemy vehicle. But I must warn u, however, when your soldier runs out of ammo for his #1 weapon quickly start using the #2 weapon, he'll never run out it. But when u don't run out of ammo and just need 2 reload it, quickly run and hide so u won't get killed or just use like I said #2 weapon which is really a blaster pistol or grenades. Sometimes a Jedi hero like Obi-Wan-Kenobi(Clone Army)Luke Sywalker(Rebel Alliance) Lord Darth Vader(Galactic Empire) Mace Windu(Clone Army) Count Dooku (Droid Army) will either assist or kill u, depending on which side you're on. I don't want 2 spoil it 4 u, but u won't b sorry abou renting or buying this game! I rent it and I'm gonna buy it with the other 2nd one which i never played yet. But my favorite thing is 2 use the snipers like the'' Clone Sharpshooters, Assassin Droids, Imperial Scout Troopers and Rebel Marksman''because they use long-range sniper rifles and can hide way up in a high spot where no one enemy can possibly spot them and take em down and they'll never know what hit em! So grab your weapons, b prepared 2 make mature choices and get ready 4 combat out on the battlefield! Also, MAT THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

This game will be made for the xbox but I want a game where you can be Darth Vader I heard you can in this game. This game is cool you have laser guns and you try to take over planets or destroy them.This will be the best multiplayer starwars game in the world!

I played this game at my friends house and I thought that it was pretty boreing. First of all the game play isn't good at all . I thought the graphics were good. The game play is like Socom but set in the future. The should have a couple more and better weapons. The rounds are stupid because when your the last one alive on your team you lose which is stupid because your still alive against say two more droids and you lose. I was going to buy it at first but when I played it at my friends house I thought h*** no.
But thats my opinion for this game. If you like it thats fine

This game rules! You may think that is kind of one-sided, but its not. Battlefront has kept me entertained for months (not an easy feat with a person like me). I've been playing it nonstop since I got it, and it never ceases to show me new things or new places. Even if you don't have an internet connection, the AI multiplayer is still total awesome. I would recommend this game to anyone, because you can go at it with any approach. Me, personally I'm a straight shooter, but with snipers and recon droids, you can go use the stealth aspect. If your a wheelman, than there are plenty of vehicles to wet your whistle with. Even if your not a gamer, this game is sweet, its chalk full classic StarWars battles and references. So I leave you with one last tidbit... This game rocks, one of the best games I've ever played, my advice... BUY IT NOW!

This game is like the best game I ever played. You can fight in areas from episode 1, episode 2, episode 4, episode 5, and episode 6. Also it can be funny if you kill people on a speeder bike. The jedi/sith are not impossible to kill just ram into them at full speed with a speeder bike.

This is a pure melee game. It's unco-ordinated, plotless and the movements/controls are out of date compared to other FPS's. If you're looking for all out shooting, without much teamplay or strategy then try Unreal Tournament.
For those looking for a Battlefield 1942/Vietnam type game set in the Star Wars Universe, get set to be dissapointed.
Just not very playable or much fun at all once you've seen all the maps and the characters.
Get it used!
