I got this the day after came out, and all I can say so far is that it is awesome. The sound is about 10 times better than Frontline, and the graphics are pretty much the same, but there is a ton more dialogue in this one, unlike in Frontline, where only your commander talks to you, and there are dramatic parts in it to, which kind of makes it like a movie. The only bad thing about this is, the ending, which just left me hanging, and wanting to do the next mission. But overall...This is definetely worth your money!

I bought Medal Of Honor Frontline for Gamecube because I heard it was so good on the PS2 and that you must own a PS2 for this MOHF. Well lets just say big let down and nothing really was great in the game at all besides the amazing sound effects and special effects. Well I saw the reviews for Medal Of Honor Rising Sun and seeing how they weren't the ebst around 8 in all I held off buying this game. I went to my local Walmart the other day and saw it for $30 bucks so I just picked it up hearing some good reviews for the Gamecube version. Well I put it in expecting horrid controls and bad graphics, now lets reverse that. This game amazed me. Frame rate moves extremely solid with no drop in the rate or fuzzyness. The charecter models themselves are great and the special effects are the best I have ever seen in a game. Controls are what really surprised me because they are just as good as Timesplitter 2 or Goldeneye's controls. Truly Rising Sun has turned the whole series around for me and if you are one of those people like me before rent, buy or see this game in action and you will see what I mean.

I am a big fan of the medal of honour series owning all games avaliable. When I wen't to buy the latest i was advised to reconsider and save my money, it was like the rest i was told. After playing the game for 15 minutes I was hooked. The game doesn't have much better graphics the frontline, however the gameplay is FANTASTIC!
The concept of fighting a new kind of enemy is great, the japs in this game are hard ba***rds in which it takes alot of force to kill them. Their attacks are also more deadly as they use the infamous bonzai charges (they attack with bayonet mounted weapons with deadly effect).
The mission plan is better than the last as they are structured better. The weapons have the same authenticy and the multiplayer is out of this world. Unlike frontline you are alowed AI bots as well as multiple players. When you put the game into your console the action begins, Pearl harbour is your first mission, in which the realism is great. The concept of taking on multiple waves of jap planes on a sinking battleship sounds dull but it is so intense you feel like your'e there in the action. The missions which procced are just as captivating as the last and are even more challeging than the last games.
Some feel that playing agains the japs won't be quite the same as the war on the western front (i was one of them) but i reassure you that it is just as gripping as its earlier games. The game puts you into the shoes of Griffin who is stationed at pearl harbour and you follow him on mostly solo or small teamed missions all across the paciffic front in a bid to elimate the japanese threat.
The game lives up to its name and continues to be the best WW2 series around
fantastic game, a must buy!

If you are thinking twice about buying Rising Sun because of these bad reviews, then you better stop listening to them or you're going to miss out on a great game! The reviews that this game is getting are pathetic! The gameplay is amazing and the action that the missions give make you feel like you were really a young soldier fighting [japanese] in WW2! By the way, the Pearl Harbor mission is awsome! Also, if you're looking for a great time with your friends as you kill (...) in extreme war sequences, this is the game to buy! The
co-op gameplay is fun and i can garauntee a great time. The plot of the game is cool like the one in Frontline but i really think that it would have been better if they would have showed the legendary bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But all in all this is one of the best buys you can make and i dont think i have ever played such a good war game. I congratulate the folks at EA Games and i hope that they keep up the good work!

Okay, this is BY FAR the most realistic game for gamecube. It is so realistic,it has the perfict sound for the weapons and probrably the best voicing for the characters there is. This has many levels and is ver exciting. The game play is fun because all of your partners are smart, and yes i said smart. Unlike Ghost Recon or any other game your partners will blend in and hide from their enemies.
This game is based on Pearl Harbor. The begining of the game is very boring, well not that boring but it is qiute boring. You start out in a ship and you start out in a ship and you have to find your way out before the ship is destroyed. When you reach the top you have to take a machine gun and blast out all of the enemies in their planes. Then asfter that you are in a ship and have to destroy more planes. Then you get to the fun stuff you are on ground fighting Japenese on island and their country.
Now if you ask me the best part of the game is the 2 player campign. okay, you have a friend play with you on all of the missions! So you hyave a best friend playing with you the whole game. also this has one of the best multi-player modes because you dont just verse your friend you can also verse several com. players.
So by my review i am saying this is a must game,it is the best i have played in a long time. Its very realistic and fun. So next time you are looking for a game get MEDAL OF HONOR:RISING SUN!

This is truly a great game for any system. It features awesome cooperative play, mind-boggling multiplayer, and reasonable graphics. The controls are simple to use, The plot takes place in World War II (You also get to fight the battle of Pearl Harbor on the FIRST LEVEL!!!), and there's a variety of devastating weapons to choose from. All in all, if you love first person shooters and don't own this one, you need to rack up a quick $30.00 and buy it now. I was very happy that I bought this game, and my little brother and I beat it in co-op mode because we couldn't get enough of its great action. So I recommend you buy this game, before someone else finds its amazing value.
Fun for a while

Medal of Honor: Frontline was and still is one of my favorite games. When I got this game, I was hoping for the same thing with larger levels, more weapons, better graphics, ect. I found almost all of these things in Rising Sun, but most of these features came with a not so great oppisite. The levels were much larger, but there were very few of them. The levels are also on a track for the most part. You just follow the little path through jungles or go down the only street that isn't blocked by rubble. The only sense of freedom I ever got in this game was in a part of a level where you have to run up a hill to take out an artillary emplacement. Wow! You can go up the hill on the left or right side! The number of weapons was increased, but you can only use two different Japanese guns. Also, you can only use one kind of grenade. The attack on Pearl harbor level is more of an obstical course than it is a battle. You run around inside the ship ducking under loose pipes, jumping over holes in the floor and putting out fires. Then you go up on deck and start shooting at planes. The first time through the game is fun and I still like to play through it with my friends in two player co-op. This is a good game for WWII FPS fans who don't have huge expectations for it.
Great game!!

How the Heck did such a good game come out that is a first person shooter for the GC. The multiplayer is great with the addition of new AI for you to battle with but I think there should be a capture the flag mode. The graphics are great and the old freaky MOA frontline music is also back. The story is really great and you want to keep going to get to the next cut seen. It is fun to now use the new wepons including jap weapons and my favorite the one shot kill welrod. If you love nightfire, the other MOA games or Battlefield 1942 you will love the months of entertainment this game brings!

How does Rising Sun stack up against Frontline and European Assault? Well, at times the game looks great. The jungle assault at night level looks pretty bad. Blurry graphics (N64 anyone?) and a lousy looking jungle. Overall, the game is lacking the graphical beauty of Frontline, but contains enough to make you look around once and a while. The city levels are nice and well textured as is the attack on the jungle temple (beautiful). The music is A+ Japanese themed. There is a LOT of health scattered through the levels, but you cannot trade out your guns. Whatever you start the level with, that's it (with 1 or 2 exceptions later in the game). There are LOTS of save points and the game seems to improve in the later levels. I hated it at first, but after the poorly designed night levels, it started to grow on me. HINT: The Japanese suicide attacks are DAMAGING! I am almost done with Rising Sun and am glad I bought the game. It's no Frontline or European Assault, but it has its good points.

This is overall a very good game. My cousin and i played this
game from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am. Yeah, its that addictive. The only thing i didnt like was the ending. It left us hanging to do another mission but the game just stoped. I cant wait until the next medal of honor comes out so i can finish the mission.
